Horizon Manor has a great staff or caring professional caregivers. The facilities are spotless. The prices are worth all that is given and the owner gives all her time to her residents. No place better by far.

I was very worried about finding the right place for my 84 year old uncle-surrogate father who now suffers from moderate dementia. After visiting numerous assisted care facilities all over North Jersey, Horizon Manor turned out to be the perfect home for my uncle. It has only 18 residents in a beautiful, quaint, country inn like setting. Unlike the institutional feel and smell of others, it offers a very cozy and home-like setting with a dedicated staff that provides first-rate service with medication, bathing, dressing, meals and laundry 7 days a week.I was shocked to visit a few other expensive facilities that had urine odors and delighted to report Horizon Manor is immaculately clean every time I visit with no odors. They offer a very personal level of care that makes my uncle very comfortable. I know he would not get this level of care in some of the other larger facilities I visited with many more residents where he would be treated more like a number. Horizon Manor has put a smile back on my face and relieved my stress and worry, knowing my uncle is in a great place, getting a wonderful level of care at an affordable price. We were very happy with the attentiveness of the staff. Dad had extra attention when he needed it, thought the meals were good and was glad he had a big room with a balcony.Staff was supportive even when Dads confusion led him to be a bit ornery - we were grateful for their patience and kindness.A great find.
