From the minute we moved into Azalea at Hamilton, the staff and management have been OUTSTANDING. Let by John Bucci, my parents haven't been there one year and the support has been tremendous. Understanding and cooperative as my brother and I navigate the paths taken by our parents. One moved quickly from independent, to assisted living and now memory care. When you are choosing a place for family, stories like this resonate for what you don't expect. At Azalea, you can build relationships and they treat you like family. Put your name on the list early because only the lucky get to live there.

This is an absolutely fantastic facility with the best management and staff I could have hoped for. The facility is clean, spacious, and appropriately equipped for the care they were providing the patients I've seen. My Dad has been living there as independent living resident for 3+ years. The caretaker teams are communicative, dedicated to their patients' needs, and are very accommodating to any requests our family members have. As more family members came to visit, each complimented our choice of facility and the very high level of customer/patient service that the facility provides. In a joyful coincidence, one of the caretakers came from the same hometown as my Dad and knew many of our relatives still residing there. This placement is a perfect match. The facility is grand and beautiful. The location is perfect, there are some nearby parks that residents can leisurely stroll in or savor a cup of coffee at a local cafe like Panera Bread, which is located just a short distance away. The community is also conveniently situated near essential services like CVS Pharmacy and RWJ Occupational Health, so residents have access to necessary healthcare and medication if needed. Additionally, the nearby St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church offers a place for spiritual reflection and community engagement. My dad has been attending the masses and making friends at the church. I am forever grateful for the home and services that Azalea at Hamilton provide us. They treat us like loving family and understand every difficult phase and trial presented by Dad's condition. The facility feels very homey and less institutional like some others we looked into. We really liked the layout of the rooms as well. I highly recommend if you need to put your parents somewhere, this is a GREAT facility!!!!

One can NOT say enough about the quality of customer service and the wonderful staff including Jonny the Sales Manager at this facility. We started looking back in early summer for my 93 year old mother in law . We tried several times to convince her that she should look into this beautiful facility but she was dead set against going into an Assisted Living program. When she fell in September and broke her elbow she finally realized it’s time . The entire staff, from John the GM to the nicest front desk people , you could not ask for a better transition into an Assisted Living program. The amenities, food , room are all too notch . Jonny the Sales Manager stayed with us even when my mother in law picked a different facility last month . Finally after a shady and terrible experience at a competitor down the street we went back to Azalea and Jonny went out of his way to navigate the move in record time . We would like to thank everyone involved in this life changing experience and how thankful we are knowing that my mother in law we be looked after with the highest degree of care . If your looking for a place for your loved one(s) do not hesitate to visit this place and ask for Jonny or Jacob . They go out of their way to help with everything.

My father has been living here, and we couldn’t be happier with the care he receives. The rooms are always clean, the atmosphere is friendly, and the food is great. The food service, and therapy staff are all amazing ” so kind, attentive, and professional. Johnny in Sales is always friendly and helpful, and the residents are incredibly welcoming. The monthly family dinners are such a nice touch and really make everyone feel included. Denise and Tracey and their Med Techs are wonderful . Theynare quick to respond to my fathers needs. The General Manager John, is very responsive and truly cares about the residents and their families. We have such peace of mind knowing my dad is in such good hands. Highly recommend!

My father is a resident in Azalea of Hamilton. Our family feels very lucky to have found this facility, which is located less than 20 miles from our house. We are so thankful for the amazing job John is doing at being the General Manager, the great job Megan is doing as the Life Engagement Director, as well as the fantastic job the nurses and aides (so many to name) are doing. The staff at this facility are wonderful and loving in the care they give my dad. We would highly recommend sending your loved ones to Azalea! Two thumbs up!!!

I want to take a moment to recognize Med Tech Allison at Azalea of Hamilton for her outstanding professionalism and compassionate care. From the moment she walks into my mom's room, Allison brings a calm, reassuring presence that makes my mom feel truly cared for. Her attention to detail, prompt response to needs, and genuine kindness set her apart. Whether it's managing medications efficiently or taking the time to explain procedures with patience, Allison consistently goes above and beyond. She treats my mom with dignity and respect, and her dedication to her well-being is evident in everything she does. I just want to give a heartfelt shout-out to Teresa in the Wellness Center. She is truly a gem”so patient, kind, and compassionate during times when you need it most. No matter how overwhelmed you feel, Teresa has a way of making you feel heard and supported. She never makes you feel like you're a bother, even when you're at your most vulnerable. Her presence alone brings comfort, and her gentle approach is something I’ll always be grateful for. Thank you, Teresa, for being such a light in the Wellness Center! Azalea of Hamilton is lucky to have people like Allison and tresa on their team. Their work makes a real difference, and it's deeply appreciated by both residents and families alike.

My husband and I have lived in this senior residence for almost 4 years. We have been through several changes in personnel and management. I am pleased to say they have finally gotten it right and we are very happy here. Megan, the Life Engagement Director has filled the schedule with exciting and varied activities. There is always something to please any taste, including concerts, movies, arts and crafts, guest speakers, games. exercises. field trips, etc. During our stay here, my husband has had to relocate to Valeo, our memory care unit. Since Vicki and Charvella have been planning activities for these residents, they have been engaged in enjoyable stimulating and creative activities, so important for individuals with declining cognitive abilities. Our General Manager, John, is a keeper. He is warm, friendly and treats all residents with respect, empathy and a genuine concern for our welfare. This sets the tone for members of his team with whom we interact on a daily basis.

Moved my father-in-law here just over a month ago and couldn’t be any happier with how it’s working out. From administrators, aides, PT, and maintenance staff, everyone has been awesome. Memory care.. my mom has been there for almost 4 years and the care and love she has received has been nothing short of amazing. Vicki is just wonderful, always attentive, keeps us always informed and makes sure her residents are happy and loved. We absolutely love Patricia, she is just a blessing and just truly loves our mom. We love Nozoline who is so patient with our mom and always has a smile on her face. We love Christine who is so good to our mom and is so friendly with all the residents. Love Shavella who makes sure the residents are entertained and engaged in activities. We can't say enough great things about first floor memory care. Every one is so good to our mom. We have such a peace of mind knowing she is in such great hands with Vicki and all the aides that work tirelessly with all the residents. They are truly a blessing to my family. Thank you

Memory Care- I have comfort in knowing how well Vicky Handby and her team in Memory Care know my family member. Their likes/dislikes/personality/habits. They listen to my concerns and/or requests, and I never doubt that they truly care. Memory Care is a very personal journey. Each day can bring different behaviors from your loved one. It is a difficult process and takes time and patience. I feel grateful to have been able to establish a very open line of communication with Vicky and her staff members. So very thankful for her team!

My mom has thrived since being there. She is always engaged with other residents and the staff are all awesome. It never smells in the place and mom has not had any wounds due to wearing diapers. Meaning that all the staff who care for her are taking extremely good care of her. She loves being there. This is a great place to be. I have to give a shout out to Vicki the activities director and her staff. They are always doing something to get and keep the residents engaged. Vicki and her staff make the residents feel happy and connected to the world around them. Mom has been there for 3 yrs now. It is the best place for her and I am so happy that I sent her there.

I see a lot of Happy People here every time I go there. They have a lot of activities and things to do. I only ate there twice but the food was good too. Great nursing staff and administration also very helpful.

It looks beautiful but don’t be deceived. The food is lousy. I know it’s not the cook’s fault. It’s what is ordered and delivered for the staff to prepare. They constantly run out of food within minutes of the dining room opening. Seems like often you are told they’re out of what you order. For quite awhile they only had sugar free jello option for those of us who need sugar free. I was pleasantly surprised tonight to have a sugar free cheesecake as an option. Although, we now have someone at the consigerge desk until 10PM, there is no real security here. The cleanness is certainly not what it should be. I won’t even mention the cost. Volante, I hope you monitor this site.

This is for Volante Senior Living, the company that owns Homestead at Hamilton. My father was a resident for 3 years at Homestead. Two weeks after he passed away in March, I received a letter from Volante. In this letter, you would think there would be some kind of condolences or acknowledgment of our loss. Nope. Instead, it was Volante threatening me with legal action if I didn’t pay the remaining balance on my fathers account. A balance I even paid days prior to receiving this letter. I’ve never seen anything that cold before, especially from a company that is in the business of senior care. To treat grieving families with such callousness is simply inhumane. Unfortunately, that’s just par for the course from Volante and what we experienced. Through their constant rate hikes, coldness to residents and families, and just overall disorganization, Volante is a stain in the senior care community that should be ashamed of themselves.

They are more interested in selling a room than the care your loved one will get. After taking my money my husband was assessed briefly. So it turns out he is not appropriate for their facility. Paying all the fees for a community fee room fee care plan fee then being told he needs 24 hour private care for a fee became unaffordable & that was after one week there. There was no assistance provided by the staff. His laundry wasn't done he wasn't showered at all the dining staff complained they had to help feed him. What kind of assistance do they provide? They wouldn't refund the entire Community fee. I was robbed! Be sure your loved one will fit into their program before you pay any money!!!

The" holistic wellness" philosphy of Homestead is very appealing; however, there are some things which are lacking. Due to the location of the facility there are limited places for the resident to walk, without driving offsite. There is a sidewalk which surrounds the entire building; however, at two locations there are stairs with no rails. This not only precludes wheelchair bound residents, but the lack of a railing makes it unsafe for seniors with limited mobility. Secondly, the only outdoor gathering locations for the resident are two small seating areas which are located basically on the sidewalk between the parking lot and the building. This a very poor design feature of the building.

I've been so impressed with Homestead at Hamilton. Every professional I've dealt with in the building has been responsive and very caring. There are so many different living options in one place. I find the Valero Signature programs inspiring. The Homestead is such a lively and active community I'm sure it will keep it's residents young!

My parents have recently become residents of Homestead. It was time for them to leave their home of 50 years due to the physical limitations of the house. This was an extremely difficult and emotional decision for this family of six siblings. Much painstaking research went into finding the best solution. Philip, the sales and marketing director, has been instrumental in helping my family come to the right decision. He has been outstanding in his professionalism, knowledge and dedication. He was and continues to be extremely supportive to our family. With Philip's help and guidance, we were so relieved to be able to place our 90 year old parents who have been inseparable for almost 70 years, in a two bedroom assisted living apartment. Having them stay together was our utmost concern and priority. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, clean and bright. We were able to bring their furniture and belongings to help make this apartment feel like home. With help and guidance of the professionals here, we chose the level of daily care that is appropriate. As time goes on, their care can be stepped up as needed. This is such an important service and one of the deciding factors in choosing Homestead. Move-in day in early January went smoothly with the help of this wonderful staff, led by Mike the general manager. Mike has been so accommodating, understanding and such a great help to us. Our parents have since settled in nicely. Our thanks goes out to everyone who welcomed them. I can't say enough about the professionalism of the entire support staff. From the front desk, to the aids that come in several times a day to check on Mom and Dad, to the custodial staff and food servers -they all have smiles on their faces and are warm and friendly. The facility itself is like a well appointed nice hotel. The lobby area has a large wonderfully inviting living room with a fireplace and comfortable seating for residents and families to gather. Also, a bistro and pub that we are looking forward to visiting after Covid restrictions have been lifted. There are so many amenities and activities that we are looking forward to exploring as a family. We count our blessings everyday that our parents still have each other and we still have them. We are truly grateful that they can remain together here at Homestead @ Hamilton. It is such a comfort to know they are safe and well cared for by this warm and loving community.

My mother has been at Homestead at Hamilton since it first opened. It has been a wonderful place for my mother. The staff is attentive and patient but most importantly they are loving & caring to all the residents. I am writing this review to especially acknowledge the work all the staff has done to keep my mother safe during this time of COVID. Back in March the facility promptly took action to keep the residents safe and have continued to do so through all these months. The staff continued to care for the residents with a smile and were always quick to encourage all to follow safe guidelines. The director has been available whenever I have had a question & just like the staff he has always spent time with my mother when she has had questions or just passing by. The community that has developed within Homestead has been very important to me & my mother. She has a wonderful set of friends & I know everyone looks out for one another. My mother has recently been in the hospital & the residents sent her cards and even videos to keep her spirits up. The most important aspect of my mother's residence at Homestead is that I feel she is safe & well taken care of especially if I am out of town. The security and well being of my mother is the most important thing to me & at Homestead at Hamilton I am confident she is secure, safe & well taken care of. Thank you to all the staff! Your hard work & dedication is greatly appreciated!!!

My dad really enjoys living at Homestead at Hamilton because the facility is brand new with light and airy apartments as well as all the new residents like himself. It is truly an independent living with at least two meals day available in either dining room or bar. The activity calendar is a work in progress based on what all the residents want. Bridge just got added and every time there is a local theater performance, there is a bus available to take them there and back. My dad feels comfortable trying new things at Homestead at Hamilton and has a result is a regular at their gym.

My in-laws moved in 6 months ago. The building is new, the apartments are lovely with a terrace. They offer many trips and social opportunities. My in-laws are thrilled. They especially love the daily happy hour! . They have their independence but they have a built in social life and built in safety measures should the time come that they need extra support. My mother-in-law takes advantage of the PT and the hairdresser on site helping her maintain her independence. The building has been receptive to our feedback. Courtney was an absolute pleasure to deal with during the inquiry and renting phase. I’m so grateful to have my in-laws close by now and happy and safe.

My Grandma Alice Moved into Homestead in September and absolutely loves being a part of the community. She has made so many friends there and loves being close by the rest of the family. When I call her she is always on the go playing cards, exercising, listening to the marvelous Meg Hanson Group, leading a crochet group, or having coffee with Gino :). It is a wonderful place for an active senior to stay active. The place is always spotless and the staff is very friendly. They do a wonderful job keeping her room neat and clean. She has not been this happy in years and I am so grateful that she found such a wonderful place to live and support her active life style!
