When Dad was diagnosed with Dementia, my heart sank in my chest because I knew how absolutely heartbreaking and difficult it would be to care for him. Arden Court-ProMedica was recommended to me by a close and dear friend. I was so worried at first but from my initial meeting with Joelle and her sincere compassionate nature, my heart was instantly placed at ease. I have been able to feel comfortable and relieved because the staff there has just been so very wonderful with Dad and I could never thank them enough. Just knowing that this man who sacrificed so much for our family is safe, secure and cared for so amazingly just gives my heart so much joy. Thank you to the FANTASTIC staff of Arden Court!! My Mom had sadly been kicked out of two homes that had difficulty dealing with her behavior. We were hesitant about another facility but this one is one of the best to deal with dementia and the special care that is needed for this population. They think out of the box to help make the residents calm happy and able to interact. The caregivers make such a difference in the lives of the residents. I saw it every time I visited. My mom was always well cared for and the staff knew her particular behaviors and needs. My family is incredibly grateful we found Arden Courts.

Arden Courts of Cherry Hill did a fantastic job of taking care of my mother for a 4 years period between 2019 and 2023. My mother had failed to adapt to another facility and Arden turned out to be the perfect place for her. During my time there I met many other families in similar situations where other facilities had been unable to "handle" their loved ones, but Arden always had the magic touch. From a day to day perspective the care was superb, the food was good and the activities were varied and covered a wide range of ability levels. Unlike other nearby "luxury" facilities, Arden focuses on what the residents actually need and not what looks nice to the families. The residents who are mobile have free run of the facility and access to outdoors weather permitting. Use of a resident's room are limited as much as possible to keep them engaged in social activities. The professional staff were all top notch, with the facility director and nursing staff worthy of particular praise for both their everyday professionalism and going above and beyond when needed. Also worthy of note is that Arden Courts avoids requiring costly additional 1-on-1 care and will only send residents to the hospital when absolutely necessary. If a resident does end up at the hospital, it is literally located across the street minimizing the need for transport. Arden Courts is currently under the umbrella of a non-profit so as far as I am aware there is no private equity firm behind the curtain pushing to drive down costs. The Cherry Hill facility in particular is also very supportive of family members with access to numerous eat in/cook out activities, parties and field trips. At the end of my mother's journey they offered ample time to wrap up her room and have an open door policy for said family members to return interact with any persons they may have bonded with. Arden Courts of Cherry Hill 5/5, 10/10, 100% would recommend to a friend or family.

We visited Arden Court memory care facility on January 18, 2024 to visit our niece and we were sincerely impressed with its caretakers and the warm attention they gave to the residents. Patients at the facility move about freely and seem to enjoy interacting with one another, but they are carefully observed by staff members to assure safety. In mid-afternoon, one caregiver lovingly interacted with our niece and prepared fresh coffee for her, my wife, and me. Overall, I was also impressed with how clean the facility is maintained. Linda, who manages the facility, and her entire staff are truly caring professionals and our entire visit was memorable.

Along with her worsening memory loss, she had recently lost her husband of 62 years so she was having an especially difficult time. The staff has been very loving and attentive to her. They organize activities that are fun and that provide opportunities for socializing. Our mother enjoys the courtyards and walking path as she loves to be outside.

Arden Courts in Cherry Hill, NJ was perfect for my uncle. I only wish that this was the first Assisted Living Community we placed him in. My experience and knowledge of geriatric care is better than the average consumer, patient advocacy is second nature to me. As a private pay only home, I passed on looking at the community fearful of moving him once his funds depleted. We had him in two "top rated" facilities in Burlington County before finally giving in/forced to move him from a continuing care facility that could not meet his needs with dementia. Arden Courts, led by Joelle Winters, met my uncle where he was in the dementia process. He was allowed to wander and explore indoors and out. He planted tomato plants, painted, listened to live musicians, conversed with others in a real "dining room" that was only used as a dining room not an all purpose room, he watched age appropriate television shows, he was able to go outside at his choosing. The dining room uses ceramic plates, cloth napkins, pretty vinyl tablecloths. The living room is a true living room, fireplace, comfortable seating, room to move and visit with family. There are four different houses to walk and visit with others in. There are different nooks: garden, beach, formal library and workshop to explore and sit in. The Activity Director completely understands dementia and works at providing activities to met the interest levels of every resident. She put together a "fishing party" for the men based on my uncle's interests; she has Montessori type activities for the residents, and the Nurses Aides take turns designing and running activities when she is not present. The Nurses Aides are part of the care team, their opinions and ideas are important. He was not told "no," " you are being bad," "don't do that." I did not have to hire a private aide to take him on walks outside, or sit with him at night because he wasn't sleeping because he was sleeping better because he had enough to do during the day that he was tired at night. My family was finally at peace when we would leave him, we were not afraid that he was facing demeaning comments because this place understands dementia. There were men from a variety of occupations, who given the opportunity to continue to still "work" and supported in those efforts with necessary materials. The residents, staff and families are a true family, supporting one another in the ups and downs of dementia. As he transitioned to hospice care, his care needs were continued to be met from both groups. The hospice we used works very well with the community. When we had a bit of a mix up with medications ordered during a weekend, the facility Dr., Executive Director, Hospice RN, and Hospice Care Team, worked swiftly to procure the necessary medications for his needs. Communicate with staff, use kindness, and always be an advocate for your loved one. No place is perfect, but this place was close to it.

Every month Arden Courts has a Family and Friends luncheon. A great bunch of people! My husband has Parkinson's Disease and Parkinson's related dementia. Finding a facility that could care for both his physical and mental challenges was overwhelming for me. A friend of mine whose husband was a resident there a few years ago recommended Arden Courts of Cherry Hill. I was extremely fortunate that they had an availability. The staff are all caring and understanding about each resident's needs. And if there is a problem with anything, they listen to what you have to say and do what is necessary to rectify the situation. They are very knowledgeable in the needs of dementia patients and in the personal needs of individuals. The management team and the staff at Arden Courts of Cherry Hill were very caring of my longtime friend who lived there for a little more than two years. I visited regularly and closely observed the staff and the facility, and I was very pleased with the overall appearance of the residence and the diligence of the staff. There was a comprehensive interior renovation about a year after my friend moved in. The outdoor area was well-maintained and safe for the residents to walk and sit, weather permitting. Any issue or question I raised was addressed immediately. During the first six months of the COVID outbreak while my friend was a resident, the Executive Director was visible, communicative, transparent, and conducted weekly Zoom calls for families to keep us current with the status of our loved ones and the shifting policies and procedures, as dictated by the state and the CDC.I recommend Arden Courts of Cherry Hill for families in need of an assisted living facility for their loved one.

If you are looking for a warm, caring, and safe place for your loved one who is suffering from dementia, you will find all of that and more at Arden Court of Cherry Hill. My mom has been there for a year now (after being in another facility for a year) and I can honestly say that they continue to exceed my expectations. I never thought my fiercely independent mom could be happy living in a long term care facility, but she is happier (and less anxious) living there than shes been since her diagnosis a few years ago. I am eternally grateful for this place and the amazing staff. Even through the pandemic they have managed to keep everyone safe, engaged, and connected to their loved ones. They are a little more expensive than the first facility my mom lived at, but worth every extra penny!

Mom was in a different facility that billed itself as a memory care facility that truly did not provide the care necessary to an Alzheimers patient. The structure of the building is set up to allow the patient to wander without having to pace back and forth. I never thought my mother could be content living somewhere that was not her home but she is so much safer and is receiving such stellar care that I cannot imagine anywhere else she could go.

For the past nine months, I have been coming to Arden Courts as a MnemeTherapist with the Art Without Boundaries Association. It is Art for the Brain. It is something I look forward to every time.When I walk through those doors, I feel like I am heading for a wonderful family get together. I work in the activity room and the residents are waiting there with huge smiles on their faces, coffee or tea in their hands and a doughnut on their plate. But it is the smiles and laughter that makes my heart so fullThe joy the residents in this wonderful community get when they have finished a painting is beyond joyhis would not be possible without the tremendous staff! I have never heard a cross word from anyone. The staff excels in praise and compassion and quite a bit of humor.Arden Courts is bright, clean and has such a refreshing atmosphere of how to treat those afflicted with Alzheimers or dementia. Arden Courts was a blessing when we were trying to get my father out of a very bad long term care facility. They were very responsive and helpful with arranging the move and coordinating care. Their entire staff (admissions, front desk, nursing, care givers, housekeeping and dietary) was always friendly, courteous and caring. They always treated all the residents with dignity and respect and the facility truly felt like home for the last year of my Dads life. They gently encourage the residents to participate in their own care to the extent they can and involve them in community activities. The layout of the facility is perfect for family members with dementia. The small wings give a small ratio of staff to resident. Each wing has its own kitchen, dining room and lounge area with access to a lovely courtyard where the residents can wander without access to the outside. This provides for a homey feeling unlike most facilities that seem large and institutional. Thank you to all the staff at Arden Court in Cherry Hill
