My Mom, Florence Dennis, spent the last year and a half of her life happily at the Residence before passing on June 30th 2025 a few months shy of her 93rd birthday. The staff at the Residence always went beyond caregiving (which they're great at!)..... they were family. They were family to my Mom and family to me as well. There are no words that adequately describe the love, guidance and support that we received as my Mom inevitably drew closer to her passing. I would have literally been lost without these beautiful souls by my side. They were with us like family every step of the way. The day my Mom did pass, every employee stood in a reverent beautiful line as she left the Residence for her last time. And it didn't end there. On there own time, and without a word ever being said, several of them attended her funeral mass which meant more to me than I can express. You will hear that the Residence is physically beautiful, the food is great, the entertainment is terrific and non-stop and the place is impeccably kept, and that's all true.....but to me it's family, and that's what mattered most. A special shout out To ESSE, Gloria, Ursula, and Alison. You are my angels on Earth and you'll always be in my heart!

I was scheduled for an interview with [name removed] and had confirmed the time in advance. While I was literally on my way to the interview, I received a message saying the position had already been filled and not to come in. No prior notice, no opportunity to interview, and no consideration for the time and effort I had put into preparing. I understand hiring decisions can change quickly, but canceling an interview last-minute — without even a conversation — is highly unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for candidates’ time. I hope they take this feedback seriously and handle future candidate interactions with more professionalism and courtesy.

The Residence at Baskin Ridge is a new modern facility located in a nicely wooded suburban location with lake views and outdoor patio. Residents enjoy a daily schedule of activities, crafts and occasional excursions. Daily Happy Hour is a community favorite for fostering friendships and meeting new residents. Meals are served in an upscale restaurant ambiance with a multi-page menu offing a full array of cooked to order meals. Room service is also available. The chefs are excellent. Resident Care Director Ursula Gibon and Facility Director Allison Kuiken are especially vigilant regarding the health, safety and security of residents. They also provide good communication with family members of residents which gives me great peace of mind as I live in Georgia and cannot visit my aunt regularly.

My husband is a nurse and does home visits. When it was clear my mother could not go home after 2 surgeries and months of rehab for a fractured ankle he consulted with some of his co-workers about where to place her. The Residence was the overwhelming consensus if there was availability. From the moment I walked in I knew it was the palace my mother would appreciate. It's beautiful, new and sun-filled. My mother is an extremely difficult individual and it was a very frustrating first few months for all involved, especially the nursing staff. Ursula and Selma have been very helpful, patient and communicative with us about everything from her care to her behavior issues. We appreciate their total commitment to making mom's environment safe and comfortable. My mother now gets up and out of her room by 10 am or earlier for the entire day and is involved in all kinds of activities. When she lived in her private home with a live in aide she never got dressed and out before 1pm.

I'd like to share our family's experience with assisting with our mom's move to The Residence of Basking Ridge. The move to this community has been very pleasing and extremely positive for our mom and our family. The staff takes very good care of the residents and have always been extremely cooperative and sensitive to mom's ever changing needs. The apartments/rooms and common areas are well maintained. We have dined with her on several occasions and found the meals to be good. They are always pleasant and provide an atompshere that makes our visits welcoming and enjoyable. Mom enjoys the activities and has made new friends! This community has worked out well and I feel comfortable in recommending.

My Mother was a bit apprehensive about leaving her home of 40 years to move into the Residence. The team made it very easy for her to make the move and feel at home from the minute she walked through the front door. The facility is new, modern and very clean. There is a Nurse on staff 24/7. Safety is not a concern. The staff knows all the residents very well and provides detailed, individual care. The staff is amazing. They treat you with attention and dignity. There are non-stop activities that are available to choose from daily. The dining area is very friendly with great food. Daily specials and a changing, seasonal menu. The wait service makes you feel like you are in a five-star restaurant. For a change of pace, "The Bistro" on the 2nd floor is open on a limited basis. If you want to catch a movie, the theatre is open several days a week. The salon offers beauty options without the hassle of travel. The daily happy hour that follows bingo is a great social event. Excursions are weekly and include shopping, places of worship and entertainment. My Mother does not miss her old home and looks forward to her day, every day at the Residence!! She has made many new friends and has a new energy that she did not have in her old home. My Mother and I have no regrets about the move!!!

After visiting many highly respected facilities, our family chose The Residence in Basking Ridge knowing Mom would get the best care available. Ally and Andi were instrumental in educating our family on the benefits of a highly structured, research and technology based approach to memory care, and on our initial visits showcased how this philosophy is carried out by the wonderful and talented nurses, caregivers and staff daily within the community. Mom is treated with dignity, spoiled with love and respect, and gently persuaded to remain active and engaged, and loves being there. Although Mom and her well being always comes first, their care doesn’t just stop with residents. Our family continues to become more aware of Alzheimer’s and how it affects Mom’s thinking and day to day life. Attending the A Walk In Their Shoes program gave us great insight into understanding the challenges Mom faces and ways we can better communicate and interact with her. Mom regained her sense of purpose over the past few months and is flourishing; thanks to all for caring so much and for helping Mom feel so special and loved every day! There is no doubt in our hearts that we made the right decision in selecting The Residence in Basking Ridge as her new home.

I can’t say enough about The Residence at Basking Ridge. Their location is great and the scenery is beautiful. The design of the building is also very impressive. Each element is well thought out and intentional. Aesthetically it’s beautiful, welcoming, and warm. I was also amazed at the quality of the food. Their standard all day offerings far exceed expectations and the additional specials are just at good. The Residence allows residents to choose from any menu at any time of day, a level of freedom that is hard to find. The wide variety of food is matched by the amount of engaging activities that are constantly available to residents. No review would be complete without mentioning their memory care section. It’s every bit as calming and welcoming as the rest of the building, but with the addition of scientifically backed design elements geared specifically towards aiding residents with cognitive decline. I strongly recommend touring around sundown to enjoy the aromas of pine that are piped in to create a feeling of calm and aid in relation before bedtime. But most important to mention is the staff. They are rockstars in their respective disciplines and their passion and care shines through in everything that they do. They work together as a seamless to create a truly exceptional experience and environment for their residents.

The facility is lovely and food terrific. However, it's the people and care they give that makes The Residence exceptional. From the first person we met, Ally, to the people who care for my mom everyday - Christina, Blaze, Elaine, Jackie, Naomi, Michelle, Valerie, Gina and so many more - each member of the team goes out of their way to ensure she is healthy and her days are filled with fun, laughter and enrichment. The staff are kind, compassionate skilled and accommodating. They make mom's new home seem like it's filled with family and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for the efforts they make everyday to be there for her. It's certainly a special place.

There aren't enough good things to say about The Residence at Basking Ridge. My mother has been a resident for almost 6 months and is very happy with the entire experience but mostly enjoys the people that work at The Residence. From the restaurant staff to the med technicians to the friendly faces that manage the front office, everyone has been absolutely wonderful and has made a very difficult transition seamless and warm! My family and I highly recommend!

We are gathered here on the edge of pond and gardens to continue our aging with companions and care. We've come having changed a previous lifestyle and gone through process of downsizing and home sales. I have been grateful to find a measure of contentment sharing my story with new friends. I just wanted to write a quick note and express my happiness with the Residence at Basking Ridge. Of course I was concerned when I placed my mom there but from the moment we walked in the door we were treated great with welcoming smiles and comfort. All the employees from the executives to the many support staff all take the time to know my mom and interact with her on a daily basis. The nurses and staff in memory care where my mom has been for 6 months are dedicated and experienced and treat the residents with compassion and care which I see for myself as I’m a frequent visitor there. The place is always clean and upkeep is great which is another sign how the staff care for the residents and the building which is brand new. Another huge plus in memory care is activities are offered daily such as exercises , yoga , games , discussions, ice cream outings etc. all lead by an activity director which is wonderful as I know my mom is engaging in social activities which gives me comfort. The outside area for memory care is large with plenty of benches and beautiful landscape filled with flowers and vegetables plants for residents and visitors to enjoy. My mom loves taking part in the upkeep of the garden and I enjoy sitting there when I visit Placing a mother in a facility is a tough process so many thoughts and decisions but I can say that putting her here has been a good one and I believe she’s happy here and as you can see I’m very impressed with the facility and especially the people that work there who all come together and make it feel like a family atmosphere and they really care about the residents they serve. Every one there knows my moms name and makes sure to make her a part of their day , they know her habits they know her likes and dislikes and she is treated and cared for great and it’s not easy as anyone dealing with a dementia patient knows well Thanks

Right from the beginning, after talking with Ally Stewart and Christine Getz, both Dottie and I knew this would be the residence we would be comfortable living at. So far, everything is going as we had hoped it would be. We are very satisfied with the 2 bedroom apartment we choose as our new home. There are so many Residents, Staff and Associates we have met which make The Residence at Basking Ridge a first class senior facility which we are proud of. Of course, every new senior living startup facility has learning curve issues to deal with. I am happy to say that the Staff and Associates have met these problems and rectified these issues, where possible, as they came up. Finally, both Dottie and I are happy to call the Residence at Basking Ridge are new home.

it’s difficult to put into words how wonderful the residence is. if you are looking for a brand new beautiful environment managed by a staff of genuine, caring and fun-loving professionals and filled with interesting and engaging residents - THIS is the place! my mom moved in just 5 days ago and is already completely comfortable and in love with her new home. she cried for weeks leading up to the move from her prior house of 60 years. she hasn’t shed one tear since! there is always so much to do and the quality of the engagement is unsurpassed. my mom’s only complaint is that she didn’t move here sooner. (ps the daily happy hour is second to none!)

Our father is in the Reflections memory care section of TheResidence Basking Ridge. I can’t say enough good things about the place. The staff are so nice, efficient, professional and very caring. The facility is new and absolutely gorgeous! We had aids for him at home prior to moving him into TheResidence Basking Ridge, he was hostile, uncooperative and generally unhappy. We were concerned moving him in however, he loves it at TheResidence Basking Ridge. His social happy personality is back, the rooms are great and they have the most comfortable beds I’ve ever laid on! Caring for a loved one with dementia is really hard physically & emotionally. While the costs can be high, knowing he is well taken care of, is happy and is socializing again, is priceless. Check it out, it’s worth a tour at the very least.

We are so excited for the Residence to open up in Basking Ridge. It is the perfect Hybrid of independence and assisted living that we were looking for. Ally and the entire staff have been incredible and patient with us. The facility is built very well and looks and feels like home. The extra details in the furniture, crown moldings, fireplaces, artwork etc. and not to mention the staff make it stand out from all the other facilites opening up in the area. We cant wait for the Grand opening.

This place is amazing. Brand new, beautifully designed and decorated, this is the best assisted living facility in the area. I was so impressed that I moved my Dad there. The staff of talented people from The Director Susan to the new activities coordinator Christine, Ally who leads the sales/marketing efforts and Ursula who is the Director of Nursing are all second to none. I'm anxiously awaiting the grand opening of The Residence! I have watched the building progress as the months have gone on. I met Ally and Christine when all they had was an office in a trailer outside of the building under construction. After my first meeting, I knew this was the place for me, and before leaving I gave a deposit. Ally and Christine have been nothing but amazing! So helpful and patient through the building process. I was drawn to The Residence because it has independent, assisted and memory care options. Not many places allow you to stay in your same apartment through the transition from indep. to assist. living. I'm looking forward to all the social activities, the open dining plan where you can eat whatever/whenever, and the beautiful outdoor space. Can't wait to move in!

Let me start by sharing that unequivocally Ally Stewart is the best on so many levels. I will highlight that years ago I explored numerous senior living facilities while ultimately deciding to work with Ally based on yet not limited to experience, knowledge, respect, attentiveness, listening and understanding, flexibility and willingness to cultivate creative approaches, and (most importantly) expectation of a high level of care for my mother. Ally has assembled an amazing team at The Residence at Basking Ridge including Susan Bruncati, Executive Director who I had met during my initial evaluation of other senior living facilities. Susan made such an impression (years ago and continues to) with an amazing background focused on the senior living industry, operations, and leadership. Susan is a tremendous compliment to The Residence at Basking Ridge. Furthermore, Ally and Susan have expanded the team to include tremendous support from nursing (with Ursula) while supporting assisted living and memory care, both which are important options and considerations for my mother while considering about the current yet also potential future care necessary. Fast forward, I was considering an evaluation of senior living facilities closer to my residence while pleasantly learning that Ally was brought on to build-out The Residence at Basking Ridge. Quite candidly, it was knowing Ally that providing myself with the drive and focus to even consider such a transition for my mother. With all that said, a huge shout-out to Ally, Susan and entire staff for taking the extended time in addressing my family’s abundance of questions as many can appreciate it is a big decision while considering the best interest of one’s family member “ my mother. What a fantastic, new community to have here in our backyards.for our next steps as well as our parents’/families’!! For some retirees, It used to be how do I get out of these places (prisons)!!?? Now it’s, HOW SOON CAN I GET IN?!! Gourmet food all the time, perfect location, beautiful scenery, The Y right next door, and a staff that’ll take better care of us than our own families! It’s time to get over and reserve our spots!
