I had an amazing tour at Allendale Senior Living. I have a demanding work schedule and was only able to make it in on the weekend, but Ryan and Noah were able to accommodate my schedule and really made me feel welcomed. Throughout the tour I was amazed by how happy and welcoming all the staff were. It was eye opening for my parents to see how beautiful the community was and how much everyone made it felt like a home.

Allendale Senior Living was very accommodating for me and my family. My father has lived in New York City his whole life and was never really comfortable with driving. He really wanted to come and see the community. Ryan from Allendale Senior Living let me know that they would be able to pick him up to give him a tour of the community. They picked up dad in the morning so he could meet us at the community and they even had my dad try lunch. I was very impressed at how professional and helpful the Allendale community was.

Unsure why this post keeps getting taken down, which only confirms they don't address problems. 2.5 Stars “ Disappointing Experience The staff is kind and professional, but unfortunately that has not been enough to make up for the overall experience. The food is consistently below average, and there seems to be little structure or communication when it comes to daily operations. Aside from adult activities, schedules for physical therapy, showers, laundry, medications, and other essential services are either unclear or nonexistent. Maintenance requests take far too long to be addressed, and room cleaning is inconsistent at best. New residents receive little to no welcome or support from fellow residents, creating an unwelcoming environment that can feel isolating. Most concerning is the lack of engagement from management and staff regarding these ongoing issues. Rather than addressing concerns proactively, there appears to be avoidance and minimal communication, despite residents paying a substantial amount to live here. This facility has potential, but significant improvements are needed in organization, communication, accountability, and resident support.

My mother was apprehensive moving into another Assisted Living after we pulled her out of the last place a year ago. She missed the activities and socialization so we went on a tour of Allendale Senior Living. Ryan, the Sales Director, assured my mother that she would be treated with the utmost care and respect. She was extremely happy with everything she saw from the exercise class with wheelchair-bound residents to the puzzle corner. She is excited to give Assisted Living a new try.

Had the pleasure of touring Allendale Assisted Living. It’s recently renovated and looks beautiful. The staff appear happy and engaging with the residents. The memory care unit is joyful to see with the residents singing and dancing in a warm homelike environment. The management team is accommodating and knowledgeable patiently answering my questions. After an amazing recovery at Allendale Rehabilitation and Care Center, where my 76-year-old mother healed from a hip fracture, we realized she needed a bit more ongoing support. We spent what felt like forever touring assisted living communities”probably around six in reality. At first, we scheduled tours with sales staff, and everything seemed perfectly smooth and well-orchestrated. But about a week later, we revisited each place unannounced, this time with my mother. That second round made it clear that most of the initial tours had been staged. Except Allendale. What we saw the first time was exactly what we experienced again. Nothing felt different or rehearsed. We even asked if we could speak directly with residents, and I was genuinely surprised by how many people said they were happy there. I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first”but that quickly changed once my mom moved in. Her room is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and the overall environment feels warm and welcoming. Most importantly, she’s thriving. I just want to say thank you for making such a difficult decision easier for our family. My siblings and I struggled for weeks trying to figure out the best path forward, but once mom moved in, everything fell into place. Just a week later, we celebrated her 77th birthday in the private dining room, and everyone was amazed at how well she was doing. That moment confirmed we made the right choice.

My mom had stayed several times for a respite care stay. I have never had an issue. Her needs are always met and any concern is met with a prompt response. No family should ever find out hours later that their loved one was taken to the Emergency Room of Valley Hospital. That’s exactly what happened with my mother-in-law at Allendale Assisted Living and Rehabilitation. The lack of communication of Nurse Michael from Sub-Acute Rehab is not dependable and careless for the patient and family. I really appreciate how management took immediate action after my concern. They handled the situation professionally and made sure everything was resolved quickly. It shows they truly care about their residents/patients and take feedback seriously. Thank you to the team for listening and making things right ” it really made a big difference! I’m addressing this to: Allendale Assisted Living and Rehabilitation, 1-star rate only to Nurse Michael, he needs a lot of improvement. 3-star rate to the other staffs and the overall ambiance of Allendale Assisted Living and Rehabilitation. The place is well kept, clean and does not smell URINE.

I have the pleasure of interacting with the staff at Allendale very often. I don’t often feel compelled to leave reviews but this team surpasses all expectations of mine. From the initial conversation with Ryan Pro about my patients interested in moving in - and how well he interacts with families and truly takes the best care of them to their assessments done by their nurse Javi who brings light and expertise in a tough time for most. I have nothing but rave things to say. And the team is lead by a true leader in Dan Silva - there aren’t many places where you see the director interacting on a daily basis with their residents and bringing joy and life to them. Allendale is one of my go tos not only because of the beautiful atmosphere and exceptional care but the team that leads it.

Our family is extremely pleased with the care our father has been receiving in the Allendale Memory Care Unit. The staff is always attentive to the needs and wants of all the residents. They also keep us in the loop as to what is happening. Besides the entire staff being amazing, the facility itself is kept clean and sanitized. Three nutritional, well balanced meals and afternoon snacks are also served daily. A special shout out goes out to the Memory Care Program Director, Gitana and the Activity Assistant, Serina, who both keep the residents entertained non stop throughout the day with all sorts of activities and entertainment. (weekly movies to an on-site movie theater, sing alongs, exercise hour, table games, arts and crafts, holiday and birthday celebrations, weather permitting offsite bus trips to various locations, just to name a few) Thank you to a spectacular duo. It is comforting to know that our dad is being well taken care of and loved during his golden years. Thank you all

My mother (late stage Alzheimer’s) has been at Allendale Senior Living for over a year now, and my father, sister and I are very happy with the care she’s receiving. The caretakers are kind and attentive to her - they know my mother likes to play and joke around, so they engage with her in a way that makes her happy. They make sure my mother stays hydrated, which is very important because my mother won’t know to drink on her own (this is a challenge for many late stage Alzheimer’s patients). They also do the little things - like styling her hair and putting her in fresh outfits everyday so she looks tended to. Gigi is the program director, and since she’s taken over about 6 months ago, there’s been a lot of wonderful entertainment brought to the community - singers, performers, weekly mass with communion for those who observe. She’s made my father feel at home. My family is grateful knowing that our beloved mother (sister, wife, friend) is in a place where she’s being well cared for.

Rooms are clean and are set up well with many amenities such as a locked dresser drawer w/key for valuables, bathroom, 3 closets, sufficient lighting and air conditioning. Nurses are very polite and take the time to answer any questions you may have, and the nurses aides are very eager to help a patient when called upon. Numerous daily activities to include bingo, movies, religious services along with many more. Meals are served either in your room if you aren't ambulatory, or in the main dining room. Food is well prepared and delicious too. Very friendly and compassionate convalescent home wether it be for short term, assisted living or long term care. I would rate 5 out of 5 stars

Recently moved my mother into Allendale Senior Living. The admission process was handled smoothly and quickly. The staff has been wonderful and very attentive to my mother’s needs. The facility is well maintained, clean, comfortable, and beautiful. My experience with the Allendale Center is a bit different than most. I’ve been going there for over 10 years as a massage therapist. Generally, when you are in these positions, if residents have anything bad to say, that’s when you’ll find out. I have now worked with a number of clients and their families, as well as I have come to work with staff and residence and guest for multiple events. I have never once seen anything questionable, heard anything negative or got the vibe that anyone was mistreated or unhappy, unless it was with their own situation. They recently renovated And it’s gorgeous and modern. They offer great amenities, some by the generosity of at least one family I know. Knowing what I know about the Allendale Center for this many years has made me feel more comfortable with the idea if ever having to send a family member or refer a client or who knows even myself to a location like this, that they would be treated very well. Whenever I’m there people are dressed nicely And cared for properly in every detail there’s too much to put into writing. Thank you to all involved and David Gillies for having me there for this most recent event!

We just put our Aunt in Memory Care, and the staff is wonderful, experienced and warm. My mom has been a resident in the acute care area for a year and a half. Kelly, the executive director, helped stage a beautiful dinner where we could reunite these two sisters after not seeing each other for 15 years. It was so beautiful!!! We are so lucky to have found Allendale Senior Living. The community is wonderful, and they take extra care for their residents.

This has been a remarkably wonderful experience not only for our family friend that is staying here, but for myself who had to choose a facility and then make that decision I toured other facilities but upon seeing this newly , clean renovated facility there wasn’t any hesitation. The nurses are very sweet, kind and patient with the residents The food is of very good quality and proportions are plentiful and they always ask if I would like stay for a meal. My sister-in-law, Lee has been in Allendale Senior Memory Care for approximately two years. It is so nice for her brother and I to see the care and wonderful staff working there. It looks so amazing when you walk in, the facility is freshly painted and rooms as well. Lee's room is very spacious and all of the crafts she has made there are displayed in her room. Anthony Elia is "The Best" manager. He keeps us updated with either text or pictures of Lee. We received Easter pictures, Cinco de Mayo and pictures of recent activities. He is always available either by phone or text. He has gone above and beyond for Lee and is a perfect fit for Allendale Senior Living. Serena, in Activities is Terrific, always keeping the residents busy. Bingo, Games, Music and History! Renee, in Business office was a great help as well. The staff is caring and so personable with the residents. Lee loves the food and activities - Happy Resident!!

This is the 2nd time my mom has stayed here for approximately 3 weeks. This time around, she’s only been there about 3 days. So far, we are very pleased with most of the staff. The speech therapist I met a few days ago was very nice although I can’t remember her name. Ange who has been her nurse over the weekend has been amazing. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, was because there was one aide who wasn’t very nice to her.

I have to say that I was very nervous about some of the changes happening at the facility but I have been pleasantly surprised. My aunt’s newly remodeled room is beautiful. More importantly, Anthony is the Assistant Executive snd Memory Care Director. He is a real gem who truly cares about the residents there. He has my Aunt smiling and dancing for the first time in years. He truly knows how to put the minds of worried family members at ease.
