Country House has been a Godsend for the care of my elderly sister with dementia. At each level, from the Director, to Nursing, to Administrators, and all daily staff, the Country House has striven to give my sister an environment which is clean and safe and filled with meaningful activities. This is a facility best suited to someone who does not need continuous supervision. Because of its large layout with multiple halls and seating areas, residents are often not directly being observed by staff during day. There is no one to see an issue early on and intervene. For example, mom was found in someone’s room wearing their pajamas and in their bed napping. She has also fallen many times where no one saw it happen. For some who is high functioning and active, the long halls and multiple sitting areas are a plus. Not so much for more those with higher needs that require a direct observer to stop a situation before it becomes a problem.

These people genuinely care about the residents, we looked at 8 or more places before deciding on Country House and this place is ideal for dementia patients. Their director Erinn and the whole staff work on addressing the needs of each individual on a daily basis. Very happy with our choice.

I have worked at CountryHouse for just over three years and have always felt welcomed and supported. I feel fortunate to have found a company like Agemark that treats their employees and residents like family. The residents and their families are provided excellent care by our talented caregiving staff and are surrounded by strong leadership members. Working at CountryHouse doesnt feel like having to go to a job everyday, but looking forward to interacting with co-workers and residents. I have learned a great deal about Alzheimers disease and dementia while working here and am grateful for the experiences my position at CountryHouse have given me.

I visited CountryHouse when searching for a home for my mother. The person who conducted my tour was very knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. I was so impressed with the setup arrangement of rooms, activities, and staff of CountryHouse that the next day I put my mother on a room availability wait list. I was very excited about the possibility of her residing there. Unfortunately, my mothers health had declined too much for the level of care they could provide. I can only review my initial contact and not the care itself; however, check them out if you are looking for a great place for your loved one.

I am currently a junior in high school and have volunteered at Country House at this location on and off for about a year. I love the activities planned for the residences, especially on Sundays. Not only does it make volunteering more upbeat, but the residences have fun as well. I am always impressed with the flexibility Katie Ritcher has displayed as far as my volunteering schedule goes. It is much appreciated because of my busy scheduleI was lucky enough to find myself in an interview for the High School Alliance program through UNMC. During the interview, I mentioned my volunteering that I have been doing at Country House and I immediately received positive feedback. They were intrigued to ask more questions and share some of my favorite stories. It was a highlight of my interview and made me stand out against my competitors. Overall, it is an amazing experience and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone!

Ive been working at CountryHouse for a little more than a year and I absolutely love it. Before coming to CountryHouse, I worked in the same field at a different facility and didnt realize how much CH would exceed my expectations. The activity department is extremely active, every day we get the residents out in the fresh air or the community and were constantly busy with crossword puzzles or crafting.I have not only grown professionally, but personally. The people who live here have become my family, my grandmas and grandpas, my friends. People who have stories to tell and interests that have yet to be discovered by me. These people make my job so joyful and I wake up in the morning wanting to be here living life with them.

CountryHouse is such a warm, friendly place. I love how they have so many activities for the residents, and many include families. The recent Valentine concert was terrific! I am also very impressed that they have bus trips around town several times a week. Seeing photos of my loved one having a good time bowling and doing other activities warms my heart. I highly recommend CountryHouse.

Country House chose the right person for the job when they picked Christina as Director. She is kind, thoughtful and diligent in her duties. She is right in there with the residents; talking, serving, doing whatever is needed. Tracie, the receptionist is always calm, caring and welcoming, whether she is working with visitors or the residents. Katie and Chloe are so good in helping the residents with the various activities, whether it is cooking, painting, crafting. I see so many smiles from the residents when they are with them. Stella and the aides are in there day after day, ensuring the residents are getting the care and attention they need. From all the staff, you can see that these residents are much more to them than just a job. The building is designed so well and it felt like home from the first day we checked it out. Our friend has been well cared for and I would highly recommend Country House to anyone who needs memory care.

My dad has lived here for nearly a year and a half and I cannot thank them enough. I know he is safe, well cared for and loved. They have taken the time to learn about dad and what he likes or doesnt like and they are very good at keeping me informed about him. When my mom passed away, many of the staff came to the service to support us as a family. He is well groomed and from day 1 has always said the food is very good. When he goes somewhere with us, he now looks forward to going back to CountryHouse because it is his home and the staff are part of our family. Cannot recommend enough. If you have a loved one with dementia you MUST consider CountryHouse. Amazing people!

My mother in law has been living her for over a year and we are so pleased with this facility. The staff truly cares about the residents. It is always very clean and we have never had any issues with security. They are always responsive to our requests and have usually able to accommodate all our needs. My only reservation is that they do not offer skilled nursing and my mother in law had to temporally relocate when she needed that level of care following a hospital stay. We were all so glad that she was well enough to return!
