Went it came time for my brother to give up his home we looked around and fell in love with the Kensington. He had become a hermit at his home but once moving to your facility he was like the old person . Talking to people , smiling and going out for walks around the block . Thank you for all you do

The Kensington has been a godsend for us. My mother in-law entered a little over a year ago with early onset dementia. The staff went our of their way to help her adjust and settle in. They have communicated with us on any concerns, issues or problems that have arisen. It was a difficult transition for our mother, leaving her home, but she loves her new home and always says how lucky she is to be there. The Kensington is a wonderful place for your loved one if they require more care than you are able to give them.

Mom my was a resident at the Kensington on Evergreen Court (memory care) for three years until her passing. The staff did an amazing job caring for my mother. They are extremely kind and caring and could always find a way to soothe her even when she was having a difficult day.

My grandmother lived at The Kensington for four years. The staff treated her with respect, dignity, and truly made her feel at home. I know it was a blessing to my uncles and mother that gram was in a place where she was happy and loved.

My father in law and my father were both here and enjoyed it greatly. People treat you like family here. Its a great place to be . You no longer have to worry about them being alone any longer. The nursing department is great and so is the activities!

My mother has lived at the Kensington for several years since she had a moderate stroke and had to give up her apartment and her car. That was a difficult adjustment for her as she was and still is very interested in life. The Kensington helped her adjust with their music programs and constant activities. After awhile she was once again running around like crazy participating and making friends. When it became apparent she was going to need hospice we were joyful to find out the Kensington partners with hospice at Mary Lanning Hospital. We dont know what the future holds for mom, but we know she is being treated lovingly and respectfully. I know this for a fact as I slept in her room for 10 days. The staff even brought food for me to her room if we couldnt get downstairs. I could not be more grateful for the tender care my mother receives at the Kensington.

My grandmother lived there, years ago, and I know its still a great place. Even though she was only there for two years before she passed away, the experience changed her for the better. I think she tried more new things, learned more, and made more new friends in that time than in the previous 20 years. It surprised our whole family.

Assisted living retirement center with memory care area, in the downtown Hastings area, Kensington used to be a hotel and offers friendly staff, great food, and wonderful care to their residents.
