Reviews The Lodge at Wake Forest
December 2024
Although my life was turned upside down when I could no longer live alone, I landed in a good place, thanks to the efforts of my son and daughter-in-love. The meals are delicious, usually with a nice variety from which to choose. Activities are well planned and helpful, both mentally and physically. There is a sense of community and family here, where everyone is helpful and looks out for each other. Staff is caring and compassionate, makes an effort to get acquainted so you feel human, not just another number.

My favorite part about living at the lodge is the people, including the staff. My apartment makes me happy, I love the scenic view. I enjoy the games, meditation, and entertainment that we have here. I would recommend it to my friends!

Our friend Bill is 87 and has been at The Lodge for 5 months now. The staff has been constantly pleasant, jovial and smiling (with their eyes as well as their mouths). The meals are high quality and tasty. Meals are typically served on china with real flatware, not plastic. The residents have been friendly and have reached-out to Bill to help him feel 'at home'. We couldn't have asked for a nicer environment for our aging friend.

I am a singer/entertainer who moved to Wake Forest from New Jersey six years ago. For the last 25 years, the majority of my work has been entertaining in facilities like The Lodge here in Wake Forest, and I have worked with hundreds of Activities Directors in that time. With the exception of a few Activities Directors who I had a good relationship with, Morgan at The Lodge is head and shoulders above all the rest. I don't know a lot about the administration side of things, but if Morgan is any indication, I would highly recommend The Lodge at Wake Forest to anyone.

The staff is concerned about the individual needs at this stage in our lives, and they know how to comfort and provide whatever extended care is required. I could not ask for anything else!

The Lodge has been a wonderful support to the community and Wake County Public School System, partnering with them for the past several years. For the past two years, I have worked with high school students at The Lodge and the students have learned a great deal about workplace etiquette, proper table dressing, and a host of other interpersonal skills by interacting with staff and residents. Stephanie, Taylor, & Morgan have been integral in the success of the youth who come to volunteer during the school year - always friendly and respectful, just like they are with the residents and guests. The atmosphere is like a family, interconnected and hospitable!! The staff is very patient, warm, professional, and considerate to the residents and their opinions/recommendations here. There are daily activities to keep the residents active and on their toes; amenities like a snack bar, vending machines, entertainment and game rooms accessible at any time throughout the day; and (thanks to recent renovations) a bright, open floor plan which helps to navigate through the facility. The residents always appear happy and are notably appreciative of the offerings The Lodge provides to help build them a daily routine!!

The team at the Lodge has been very helpful over the last year as my dad has been adjusting to living there. Morgan does a great job with activities, and the all the staff members have graciously coordinated with our family and friends to play bluegrass music there with my dad occasionally. We very much appreciate all they do.

During my visit I was introduced to both the sales and marketing team as well as was greeted by the GM. This is a nice facility that I would certainly be willing to have my mom live at. It seemed well staffed, the facilities were very clean, and the few residents I met seemed very happy. It also seemed to have the right balance of support and independence for its residents.

There is only amazing staff at the Lodge. No offense to all of the challenging people who live there ( My mom included) they go WAY above and beyond. I have never had an email answered in less than a day. I have asked everything from can you confirm she is eating all meals and how is she doing riding the errand bus. There are so many little details you need to know about your family member and they are always willing to answer or find out. This is not the only senior care facility we have in our lives BUT it is our favorite, best most beautiful. Good job Randy and team you are rock stars in our eyes
