Elmcroft of Southern Pines' staff was the most professional. The place itself and the people I met there were definitely on the top of the list of places I would consider. The place is clean and you can choose from several different sizes. You can put in whatever you want to make the rooms a little homier. The dining room was big and nice. There are areas where you can go outside.

They have a great activities director in Angela. Eric, their director, seems willing to listen when needed. Most of the staff seem to do a good job. I would recommend multiple visits just to observe. That way, you can form your own opinion.

We visited Elmcroft and it was a very nice facility. The lady who showed me around was very accommodating and answered all my questions. It was very clean, and the rooms were very nice. They have a lot of activities

My mom is now at Elmcroft of Southern Pines. It is very nice and really good to me. The staff members are very nice and very helpful. The rooms are nice, too. I saw a one-bedroom and a studio. The activities are very good. They have exercise class, meet and greet activities, and word games. They also have a small library and a beauty salon.

Elmcroft of Southern Pines was a very nice and newer facility. They had a nice physical facility, and the grounds were well-kept. They had memory care which my mom would eventually need because she does have some dementia. I think their base rate starts at $2,900 or around $3,000 a month, and they attach a fee schedule as well based on the needs of the patient. By the time they did an assessment on her, her cost was going to be about $60,000 a year, so that base rate could be a little misleading if you have somebody who needs a lot of care or has a lot of challenges and issues.

Elmcroft of Southern Pines is providing the care they said they would. My mother likes the facility, and so far, everything is fine, and I'm pleased with it. I found the food to be very good. The management is also very good and receptive to any issues or problems that we identify.

We visited Elmcroft of Southern Pines for my mom. It was great. It was like being at a private retreat. However, it was obviously big money. My mother has dementi, and she needed to be in a secure unit. The Alzheimers/dementia unit was completely separate from the main facility. It was in a building all to itself. All the rooms were private. They were well-decorated. The facility was very luxurious with two dining rooms for the residents. One was for the residents who needed assistance and cleaning. The other was for the ones who could feed themselves. They had shared railing throughout the facility for stability. They had a common area that was big, and it had a piano. It was great.

I visited Elmcroft. They were very pleasant, personable, and nice. They showed us the facility. They showed the cafeteria where they eat, the common areas, and the rooms. It was very nice, and I liked Elmcroft. However, between Elmcroft and the place where I placed my parents, there was about a $1,500 monthly difference. It was more updated and everything. They discussed the activities with me, but I don't remember what they were. The building is very pretty, very well maintained, and very clean.
