Making the decision to place a loved one in the care of others is never easy, but from the moment my dad moved to Terra Bella at the end of January, we knew he was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about him. The staff treated my dad with kindness, dignity, and compassion every single day. They took the time to get to know him as a person, not just as a resident, and that meant the world to our family. Their patience, warmth, and genuine affection gave us peace of mind during a difficult season of life. As his health declined, the care and support they provided became even more meaningful. They not only cared for my dad, but they also cared for our family. Their smiles, reassuring words, and willingness to help in both big and small ways made an incredibly difficult journey a little easier to bear. After my dad passed away, it became even more evident how much he had meant to the staff. It was clear that the relationships they build with their residents are heartfelt and genuine. Knowing he was loved by the people who cared for him is a gift our family will always treasure. To everyone at Terra Bella, thank you for treating my dad with such respect, compassion, and love. We will always be grateful for the difference you made in his life and in ours. I wholeheartedly recommend Terra Bella to any family looking for a place where their loved one will be cared for like family.

My dad was in memory care here this spring for six weeks until he passed away. We're grateful for caring staff like Pricilla, Tracy, Duane, Kari and Korrin. But communication was rough; I was unable to speak to anyone over the phone about my dad when I wanted an update. Emails were also largely ignored. I'm especially disappointed at the poor/slow response to emails to the executive director while wrapping up dad's affairs there; emails about missing items, missing medicine, about certain aspects of my dad's care. To be fair, they were in-between Memory Care Directors while my dad was there, but because of our experience I will likely look for another facility for my mom should the time come.

i must say i am so glad i chose this facility to put my mom in residence at terra bella. let me start with the intro. i met with teresa the administrator of admittance. she was the most professional friendly person i have ever encountered. i was shocked that she advised me she recently took on this assignment. she answered all our questions and assured us what the transition would be like. all i can say is thank you. my wife recommended this facility as she placed her own mother several years ago. now that she is situated there my mom stated what i feel is the highest compliment. the people here are so much friendly here then the last place. overall the place is clean and the staff is excellent. keep up the good work.

My family and I made the very difficult decision to find a care facility for our mom. On a very difficult and heartbreaking journey touring facilities we came across TerraBella at Northridge. The moment we walked in we knew this had to be where God had brought us!!!!! The staff were so welcoming, it was so clean ( no displeasing odors!!!!) and we felt a sense of joy that we never felt anywhere else we toured. Our mother who was so incredibly sad about moving there has adjusted in a way only God and this precious staff could have done!!!!! We have All been amazed at how well she has done and how Happy she is now!!!!!! We are so incredibly Thankful to all the wonderful staff and the precious residents that have made this incredibly hard journey such a wonderful place for our family!!!!!! We all feel like family there and it feels like home!!!!!! We are so Thankful we found this sweet place for our mom!!! The Lord is so Good!!!!!

My mother has been a resident of the Assisted Living building at Terra Bella for over a year, and we could not be more pleased with the level of care she receives. My mother requires a significant amount of attention, including assistance with: * Bathing and dressing * Personal needs * Transferring (e.g., chair to bed) The entire care staff has consistently been exceptionally patient, kind, and professional when attending to her extensive needs. This dedication gives our family immense peace of mind. We are particularly grateful for Ashley, the Activities Director. Ashley goes above and beyond to ensure residents remain socially active and engaged. She personally encourages my mom to come down to the living room and participate. The variety of social activities Ashley schedules is excellent and truly enhances the quality of life for the residents. My mom frequently comments on how much she enjoys the meals, noting the good variety offered. Overall, we feel incredibly comfortable and confident that my mom is receiving high-quality, compassionate care at Terra Bella. Thank you to the entire Terra Bella team!

My mom has been in the "Transitional Memory Care" unit at Terrabella now for 3 months. Torie was great to work with and helped place Mom in the right unit for her needs. I love that she is still super responsive if I have a quick question. The staff ... I give them 5 STARS too! No matter who I talk to they are ALWAYS so friendly, patient and helpful. Lastly, I absolutely LOVE the staff in her unit.... a Special shoutout to Tonya and Brenda and Emelda. I can see the love in their hearts and eagerness to care for others. To find people who genuinely love and care for my mom and the people there... is priceless. I know I can rest easy each night knowing they are giving her the proper care, attention and love.

We recently had the pleasure of attending a food tasting at TerraBella Assisted Living and Memory Care in Raleigh. The food was excellent - well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Beyond the tasting, we truly appreciated the meaningful conversation about the ongoing development of the community. My mom has been a resident for almost a year, currently in memory care. The staff has been very receptive to all our questions and concerns. They try their best to create extra activities for mom (she's in good physical shape) as she gets bored easily. Every member of the staff seems to enjoy their job. A special shout out for Ebony. She had a shadow box building activity with families invited and held it in the evening so more families could attend (her working day ends at 5:00). I also saw her there on Mother's day. She said she just wanted to stop by and say hi to all the mothers. I think that's a pretty good example of the type of dedication I see there. The facility is a bit older, but the care and dedication of the staff more than offset that. I would highly recommend TerraBella at Northridge.

When our mother arrived, the staff were so welcoming and kind. Every time I visited, all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Tina, who I met in the dining lounge.

My father has been there just over 5 months. My views on a scale of 1-10 Clean - 10 Friendly staff - 10 Food - 10 Father happy there - 10 Respond to concerns - 1, always say someone else will call me. Return calls - 1, do not return calls at all. Will not go into all the frivolous things, but one example is extra charges to open sugar package for coffee, (he can do this himself). Elevator still out of service after 4 weeks, TV not working in common area, no TV in rooms for local channels as they have no antenna. I have had to make bed and assist in bathing since day one. Understand at 94 he can be grumpy on bathing and changing clothes. I have my phone number on his door in case he gives them a hard time for this. All they have to do is call me, I can get him to accept their helping him with this. They have never called. Would I recommend Terrra Bella? Depends on whether you have the time to make visits several time a week as we do, and you are okay with providing the services they do not get around to. I am keeping him there because I am willing to put up with these things but mainly because he does really like it there, and you never know, a move could be to somewhere that could be worse. Again, they are friendly & nice. My 2 star rating could easily go to a 5 star if they attempted to respond to needs, returned phone calls, and at least provided the services and amenities they claim to give.

My mother was in TerraBella for 37 hours and fell three times. The last fall killed her. I talked to my mother in the ER and she told me she yelled for help over and over, but no one came to help her. She finally managed to get up and walk to the nurses station. An ambulance took her to the hospital. I held my mother’s hand as she took her last breath in the ER and then drove home. While I was trying to understand how this horrible event could have happened and the unbelievable neglect my mother experienced, the head nurse called me, only three hours after my mother’s death, and asked me what the cause of death was. She had a sarcastic tone of voice and did not offer condolences. Since I did not know the exact cause of death, I told her she needed to call the hospital for that information. I still can’t understand how my mother fell three times in Terra Bella when she had not fallen in the previous ten days at my house. Did someone push her?

My grandmother has been a resident at Terra Bella Northridge for 9 months now. Everyone has been professional and accommodating, making her feel at home and giving our family peace of mind that she is in very good hands. Transitioning Nana from living alone to an assisted living facility was an adjustment and hiccups are expected when caring for a 90 year old (on top of balancing our 3 young children of our own). We couldn’t have done it without the support of the team at Terra Bella, and highly recommend you reach out for a tour if a loved one in your life is needing a new place to call home.

My husband, John, entered TerraBella in 2020 (when it was still Elmcroft). Due to the COVID restrictions, I was unable to visit him in person for an entire year. It was scary in the beginning given that we had not been apart since meeting in 1989, and I had been his caregiver for eight years. The staff was so compassionate and made sure that I received regular facetime calls. Fast forward to 2023. I am still very pleased with the TerraBella staff. The facility has been beautifully remodeled and though some of the staff have changed, John's care continues to be exceptional. I am able to visit John in person anytime, and the staff communicates with me regularly. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking memory care for a loved one.

My mother has been at Elmcroft of Northridge since February 2020, moving into the Memory Care Unit just a month before COVID hit. When she first moved in, I had the opportunity to visit her daily for weeks and at all hours of the day, morning, afternoon and evening to help her get acclimated. It didn't matter what time I showed up, I always found my mother being cared for and supported. They keep her busy and treat her like she's family. We have weekly video visits with mom and during this stressful time of Covid, nothing feels better than knowing mom is happy, safe and healthy. I love all of the staff there, from the front office (Brad held my hand throughout the process and assured me that mom would be cared for - he has not failed us), to the Director, Nursing Director ("well" calls are always made and we appreciate it so much), Activities Director and personal CNAs on mom's unit. Each and every person there takes this work seriously and very personally. They show up every day and work hard to make the environment a SAFE, HEALTHY and HAPPY home for our loved ones. I hail them and give them all a shout out of THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, MY HEROS!

My mother lived in Assisted Living and later the Memory Care unit at Elmcroft for a 14 years. The people who work there are truly angels. We never had any significant issues, and very few minor ones. We had so many wonderful interactions with the staff, and we knew that mom was being very well cared for. I have recommended Elmcroft so many times to others who need their services for a loved one. Mom felt so at home there, and she felt loved by the staff, which was always important, but never more so than during Covid-19 lockdowns when we could not visit. If we had it all to do again, we would make the same choice and go to Elmcroft. We can never thank those kind people enough for what they did for mom.

We have been very pleased with the care my mother-in-law is receiving at Elmcroft. From the quarters, to the cafeteria, to activities offered, to the healthcare and staff, it has been the best we have encountered. She cannot live alone any longer, and due to the number of mental and physical limitations she now has, we are very fortunate to have been successful in securing a place for her, here. The staff is wonderful at communicating with us. They care for her very gingerly, though she can be quite a "handful" at times. We couldn't be more pleased under the circumstances. I would like to add that it is imperative that they deal with as little change as possible. Our aging loved ones do not do well with change. Their change of residence is enough to acclimate themselves to. The healthcare team at Elmcroft has been a tremendous help to us in attempting to help her adjust to her new life here. Thank you all so very much.
