My mother was in TerraBella for 37 hours and fell three times. The last fall killed her. I talked to my mother in the ER and she told me she yelled for help over and over, but no one came to help her. She finally managed to get up and walk to the nurses station. An ambulance took her to the hospital. I held my mother’s hand as she took her last breath in the ER and then drove home. While I was trying to understand how this horrible event could have happened and the unbelievable neglect my mother experienced, the head nurse called me, only three hours after my mother’s death, and asked me what the cause of death was. She had a sarcastic tone of voice and did not offer condolences. Since I did not know the exact cause of death, I told her she needed to call the hospital for that information. I still can’t understand how my mother fell three times in Terra Bella when she had not fallen in the previous ten days at my house. Did someone push her?

My husband, John, entered TerraBella in 2020 (when it was still Elmcroft). Due to the COVID restrictions, I was unable to visit him in person for an entire year. It was scary in the beginning given that we had not been apart since meeting in 1989, and I had been his caregiver for eight years. The staff was so compassionate and made sure that I received regular facetime calls. Fast forward to 2023. I am still very pleased with the TerraBella staff. The facility has been beautifully remodeled and though some of the staff have changed, John's care continues to be exceptional. I am able to visit John in person anytime, and the staff communicates with me regularly. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking memory care for a loved one.

The staff at TerraBella Northridge provides compassionate, and professional care. They take time to provide updates on how my husband is doing and they’re like family. It's great to see how comfortable he feels being in the memory care center and it brings me peace of mind knowing he is well cared for.

My mother has been at Elmcroft of Northridge since February 2020, moving into the Memory Care Unit just a month before COVID hit. When she first moved in, I had the opportunity to visit her daily for weeks and at all hours of the day, morning, afternoon and evening to help her get acclimated. It didnt matter what time I showed up, I always found my mother being cared for and supported. They keep her busy and treat her like shes family. We have weekly video visits with mom and during this stressful time of Covid, nothing feels better than knowing mom is happy, safe and healthy. I love all of the staff there, from the front office (Brad held my hand throughout the process and assured me that mom would be cared for - he has not failed us), to the Director, Nursing Director (well calls are always made and we appreciate it so much), Activities Director and personal CNAs on moms unit. Each and every person there takes this work seriously and very personally. They show up every day and work hard to make the environment a SAFE, HEALTHY and HAPPY home for our loved ones. I hail them and give them all a shout out of THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, MY HEROS!

I had given up trying to find an assisted living place for my mom when I ran across Elmcroft. The staff at Elmcroft is phenomenal! They are aware and sympathetic to my moms needs. Everyone always treats her with love and kindness, even the maintenance staff! They keep me well informed and they keep her reassured. This place is truly a blessing!

As I read the reviews over the last year, I see names of good staff who are no longer there. It is a shame; I know that my mom misses some of her favorites who have left. There have been a number of changes since the change in property management, but I too miss some of the caring folks who had worked there.

We have been very pleased with the care my mother-in-law is receiving at Elmcroft. From the quarters, to the cafeteria, to activities offered, to the healthcare and staff, it has been the best we have encountered. She cannot live alone any longer, and due to the number of mental and physical limitations she now has, we are very fortunate to have been successful in securing a place for her, here. The staff is wonderful at communicating with us. They care for her very gingerly, though she can be quite a handful at times. We couldnt be more pleased under the circumstances. I would like to add that it is imperative that they deal with as little change as possible. Our aging loved ones do not do well with change. Their change of residence is enough to acclimate themselves to. The healthcare team at Elmcroft has been a tremendous help to us in attempting to help her adjust to her new life here. Thank you all so very much.

Enjoyed working here. Had very good leadership when I worked here and great collaboration with the staff. I really appreciated how we all came together to care for the residents. There were some bad staff but they got weeded out and everything has been smooth since then. This is a great place for those who truly want to care for the elderly.

The community truly brings families together. Everyone is so pleasing, and makes my day every time I show up for volunteer work and service. I have learned so much from this knowledge Nurse she helps me and the CNA. I have had nonthing but the best experience and that very encouraging.

I have been employed here now several months as a memory care mgr. I must say I am enjoying working alongside an excellent management team. I am passionate about resident care and that is an overall goal hands down of the mgmt team here. We have employees who have been here over 15 years; and they have a true sense of love and commitment to make the last half of our residents lives a safe and meaningful one. Elmcroft of Northridge has been a pleasant place to visit and volunteer at. I have, on a couple of occasions, been fortunate enough to help out with the activities for the Residents. I have definitely gained a better understanding and respect for the people catering to the communitys parents, grandparents, and for the lucky cases, great grandparents. The staff work hard to make sure that the residents are having a good time mentally, emotionally, and physically. It is understood that everyone is entitled to a difficult days, however, the staff do a great job making sure that those off days dont interfere with their work and that they support each other.. The residents are pleasant and some-what easy to take care of. The residents, just like the staff, are entitled to rainy days and how they interact with the staff is amazing to see. I must honestly say this facility is a GREAT place to show your parents, grandparents, and in lucky cases, great grandparents, that you care about their well-being. Good Day! Caring for the needs of the Charismatic Residents, Amazing Families and Phenomenal Staff for me is like a breath of fresh air. Having worked a few places prior to landing here; mine eyes have viewed quite a bit of good, bad and ugly... I am ecstatic to shout out Our Caring, Fearless and Knowledgeable Leader who is often misunderstood but is one of the greatest assets to grace the geriatric society and certainly Elmcroft. Good Morning I have been a part of the Elmcroft Family for 3 years now, and I can honestly say that why we are not perfect we strive every single day to be great. Here in the last two years we have done some great changes to the building inside and out. The company cares about the family of our residents but most importantly our residents. When there is a concern we try to address it immediately. We care about our staff, and treat them as family (with respect and love). Lets talk about our management team, who go above and beyond their duties to make sure this community continue to become the greatest community possible. We have managers that will get on the floor and assist our staff in whatever area they need assistance in. Our managers care about the personal lives of our staff, and understand that sometimes a hug or a moment to express yourself is needed to be able to continue to care for our residents the way we do. We believe in our staff and encourage them to continue to learn and grow. The company itself does tuition reimbursement so that our staff can continue to grow. I personally cant see myself working a better place, the love in our community is amazing whether its the love from our families, staff or residents. I miss them on my days off, thats how amazing it is, dont believe me come by and experience it for yourself. Ask for Shanee I would be proud to show you some Elmcroft Love.

I have been doing what I do in Nursing home all through North Carolina for about 21 years now and it is stressful also its hard work but I care about the resident and the community ,its more than a job but one thing I can say about Elmcroft of Northridge it one of the best community I have work for, they take care of the resident and the staff as far as, being consisted on Elmcroft policy and procedures meaning not making it up as we go from day to day and it fair, one last thing the Executive Director has a great team one of the best that I been apart of in all my 20 years and I am happy to be a part of, so if you would like to visit or take a tour we welcome you.....

I love working at Elmcroft. The staff work together as a family not separate. The residents here at Elmcroft is the reason why i get up in the mornings. We have a amazing management team that goes above and beyond to make sure the staff is happy. When I started at Elmcroft I started in the kitchen then in November of 2018 I transition to the floor in our memory care under the supervision of Kimberley Speller. I have learned so many things since being on the floor. We are a FAMILY.
