Lisa Honeycutt at the front desk is knowledgeable, responsive and always helpful. She has a great attitude and is very kind to all residents Several weeks ago, my dog threw up on my king size comforter. It does not fit in the stack washer so I took it to the laundry room. When I got there I discovered that they had changed appliances and my card did not work. I went to the front desk to request directions on using washers as a lady told me instructions were put in north units mail box's and south had not received them. Person at front desk did not know and made no effort to find out. Said they would reach out when they knew ( three weeks later and still no info). When Lisa returned two days later, i asked her. I immediately got the directions sheet and all the help I needed. This is not an isolated incident. She is pronominal and always helps me (and all other resident). Very knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond to help us. Big thanks

So far the move in facility, service, maintenance has been the highest of any previous place my wife and I have stayed. The manager and staff people are very courteous, receptive and responsive to all our concerns and needs.

We live at the Dorchester. We submitted a maintenance request recently which was handled very well from start to finish. Tom Ireland and Tom Miles were the maintenance who assisted us. Also, Luis Romano came to our assistance several times for maintenance issues. iWe are very pleased with the Dorchester. Lisa Honeycutt, at the front desk, has assisted us on numerous occasions with excellent customer service.Amy Baron also has been extremely helpful to us. Thank you to all of you.

I can't say enough about The Dorchester/Manor. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. From the moment you walk in, they great you with a smile and kind words. The Maintenance staff are excellent and very quick to show up to fix whatever issue you have, regardless of how large or small the issue may be, Swt T. is amazing and is always in the best mood. That goes with all the other maintenance staff also. Thom, Luis and David are all great as well. The resident events are never ending and fun for everyone. The kitchen and dining room staff and food are fabulous. If you are looking for a fun, vibrant and pleasant place to live or somewhere for a loved one to call home, I suggest you look no further than The Dorchester/Manor.

From the first interview with Rachel McGirt until the day I moved in, she has impressed me with her excellent listening and communication skills, along with her positive, down-to-earth personality.....she is also a very "sharp dresser"!! I have found everyone to be most helpful with my needs and wants whether it be personal or needing help with maintenance and normal apartment needs. I have found that Lisa Honeycutt is very helpful with any of my desires relative to the Dorchester. I've been at the dorchester for a little less than a year, but in that time I've had the pleasure of going on several different bus trips with Ryan Brown the bus driver. He always goes above and beyond to make sure we are safe, and our groceries get on and off the bus. We have been out to eat, or shopping trips, or grocery visits. All were simply lovely. Having the bus trips makes me feel free to do whatever I need, while enjoying friends company.

The Dorchester at Pineville, NC is more than a building with apartments. It is a community of people who are warm and welcoming. I have made more friends, in the year since I've lived here, than I have anywhere else. I love my neighbors! I am so lucky! In addition, the staff is incredible! I will just speak about the ladies for now.... First, one is welcomed by either Aime or Lisa at the front desk. They greet everyone with a smile. They are knowledgable, friendly, warm, and extremely helpful. Susan, Michelle and Tracy are fantastic! This team leads with professionalism, excellence and fun. They are all very approachable and address issues with a smile. In my experience, staff does not always work as a team, they are not consistently willing to address a concern, much less with a smile! But, at the Dorchester, excellence is "business as usual". Tracy, Susan, Michelle, Aime and Lisa are available to everyone, every day!!! They are extraordinary! I am very happy after I have a conversation with any of them! That is unique and remarkable for any team responsible for running a facility with over 200 apartments. I am fortunate to live here at the Dorchester and to interact with Lisa, Tracy, Aime, Susan, and Michelle. They are exceptional at what they do.

I have been a resident at the Dorchester for 6 years and have seen many administrative personnel come and go. When Tracy came morale was low and residents were wary, but Tracy has worked hard to win our confidence. There have been many issues I have addressed with her, some praising and some complaining. Tracy has always listened and if I had a problem, tried to resolve it in a fair manner. No doubt, dealing with Seniors is challenging but Tracy and her staff are caring, compassionate and understanding! They have made this my "Home".

I had no idea that such a hidden gem existed so close to me! We just moved my father into the Dorchester and it was a seamless transition. From the time we met Rachel (Assistant Community Manager) several months ago to current times, she provided the warm welcome that allowed my Dad to feel like the Dorchester was now home. It is clear the feedback of residents is used consistently to provide a great experience. The first day of move-in, Amy at the front desk was also super helpful and every staff member has been patient, kind and knowledgeable. The residents walk around with a smile on their faces as they greet you and everyone seems to want to help. I am so happy we chose the Dorchester and Manor for my Dad's newest adventure. I have lived here 4 years this July. I want to say it was the best kept secret. I am so thankful for being told about Dorchester. Also, it's only gotten better not worse. Excellent maintenance, food. Not only that our management truly improved, I must give credit to Susan. She adds a whole other element to Dorchester. Not only do the tenants like and respect her, her co-workers do as well. She's never too busy and always working. We had the monthly birthday today. BTW, it was great fun, good music and dancing. Of course, as usual there was Susan cheering us on. My grandmother is 95 and lives at the Dorchester. She has had such a nice experience there. It is a lovely place and everyone is so kind. She loves the activities - bingo, socials, monthly birthday celebration, yappy hour, excursions on the van and many more. Lunches and dinners in the dining room are something else she really enjoys. I joined her tonight with my 2 year old niece. We had a great dinner and excellent service. Denise, Krystal and Que all took such good care of us!

I have lived at The Dorchester over four years. I continue to be blessed and thankful to live here. It is a great community with a wonderful Staff. They truly care about the residents. When there is an issue in my apartment, a Staff member always responds quickly. This week my air conditioner was not working. With the heat index over 105, Luis came immediately to check the ac unit. He worked diligently locating the problem and now it is working! He has a wonderful and positive attitude and cares about the residents. Thank you so much.

Our activity director Michele is wonderful. She keeps us busy with activities and arts and crafts. In fact, Michele makes the retirement center. She is always happy. She loves her job and it shows because she loves working with us and she fills the calendar with entertainment, socials, and arts and crafts. She recently started a creative writing group, which is my favorite activity. This group forces me to write, something I've always loved but have neglected until the group started. The Dorchester and The Manor have always been a great place for seniors looking for Independent Living Apartments. I recently toured again after a few years and the updates that have gone on are beautiful! The apartments are spacious and lovely! They have a lot of fun activities going on all the time and some major events every year that are so much fun to attend! Joy, the manager and Michelle, the activity director are always welcoming. I have recommended The Manor and The Dorchester to may seniors in the Community.

I like living here at Dorchester and have great neighbors. I've been here for about 2 years. The management team has gone through a number of changes, but it's been for the better. I think they have a good fit now. The maintenance crew, especially Louis, are great workers and prompt to respond when I call with a problem. It's kept clean and we have great activities! Another thing I like is that some of my children live in other areas and state so I visit and don't have to be concerned about my place or deliveries. If you notify them of your absence, they notify and handle accordingly. Thank you Dorchester!

We moved our mom out of the facility on Dorman Rd. Pineville, and all her clothing and furniture was infested with cockroaches. A recliner chair was fumigated in a giant plastic bag 3 times and it still had to be discarded. Please insist on fumigation before your move in and regularly afterwards. Nobody should have to live in those conditions, most of all our cherished elderly lived ones

My mom is a new resident, although she was nervous about the transition, in the past few months I have seen her spirits lift and her overall happiness improve. She enjoys the enrichment activities and has made connections with other residents as well as the staff. The impact having fun has made is a blessing. My Grandmother is a resident here. Has been for a little over 3 years. She really likes it here. I like the security, and the safety that they offer. Having a Front Desk person as your first point of contact is great, and everyone who works at the desk is just wonderful to my Grandmother, as well as family and friends. The grounds are beautiful. Very clean. Activities for everyone, bus trips twice a week to grocers and shopping. Only thing I could ever say bad, is how far away it is from me, in Pennsylvania.

Overall not a bad place. Senior living, not assisted. Biggest complaints are seemed monthly bill was always incorrect, error always in their favor. When my mother left there she could no longer take care of herself. Normally they would make someone in that condition leave. They said she broke her lease and kept all her deposit money. Very bad experience at the end.
