Heritage Greens, an Independent Retirement Community nestled off Meadowood Street in GreensboroA Wonderful Place to Call Home. My uncle moved in at the age of 93 and resided there for almost 3 years. There was a genuine feeling of warmth and welcoming hospitality demonstrated by staff and residents alike every time I visited. Since moving in, my uncle’s quality of life improved a hundred-fold. He was more social, happier and safer. There are many services and amenities available at this senior community. One can design a meal plan especially suited for their family member. Other features include transportation, a fitness center, library, and contract agencies for therapy, cleaning, and laundry (like Legacy and Options for Senior America). There is a wonderful weekly array of activities and social opportunities that encourage participation and camaraderie among the occupants. In-house events are scheduled frequently for the residents e.g. games, movies, visiting choirs, skits, and church activities. Outings are also available for shopping trips and banking. Heritage Greens was the best choice for my family’s loved one!

There was no parking. But if we looking out my mother’s window it looks like the employees back spaces were empty. Should they not be parking there for the safety of visitors?

I always have a great experience at Heritage Green. Everyone is friendly and helpful, especially the staff at the front desk. The entire community is always clean, well kept, and has no unpleasant smells. It is clear that the staff take pride in the environment and the care they provide. I appreciate the welcoming atmosphere every time I visit.

Overall the place is clean and updated. The price is reasonable and they provide ala cart services. The food is sub par, especially if you have specific dietary needs. The on site home care agency is fine if you only need basic needs met. Our choice to sign a contract here was based on the fact that this homecare agency promised us that they could meet my Mother's complex medical needs, and they did not. We would not have chosen this place if we had not been reassured by the home care agency and the sales director that her needs were going to be met.

My mom was in Heritage Greens and is now in an assisted living apartment there at VeraSprings. The folks that work there check on her regularly and make sure she participates in activities when she’s up for it. I appreciate how they sincerely care for her and also how kind the other residents are as well. I also notice the don’t use a lot of perfume or fragrances in the air, which is helpful because they give mom headaches. That said, the place is really clean. They work hard there and it shows.

My Aunt and Uncle moved to independent living here and to say this place GOLD is an understatement- the staff & residents are spectacular- the amount of activities and things to do are endless! I haven’t worried for one moment since they’ve been there!!

My Father was there for over a year until his death. The care that he received was excellent. The Med Techs and Aides were caring and responsive. My Dad had lived in 2 other facilities before moving him to Heritage Greens. So when I say that the care is great and the management team is responsive and organized, I have seen other Assisted Livings and Heritage Greens is superior to everywhere Dad was previously. The staff seems to enjoy their jobs and I did not see any turnover or short staffing situations. I attribute that to active management and good communication. I don’t think you will find a better Assisted Living facility.

I’m so impressed with how your staff seems to care for and about the residents. I know it must be difficult to take care of the community but the wonderful lady who looks after my mother is so delightful I can only guess at her name Jamielle ? I know she is not for show as she went and took Mr. Isley to the exercising equipment and encouraged him to work in between taking the residents to the restroom. She inspires me to be a better person. My mother has gone from being resistant and combative person to being more cooperative and more like how she was before regressing. Please thank her for her kindness to not only my mother, our family,but also the residents. God bless her.

My Aunt came to stay about 4 weeks ago. She is so well groomed and she was quite lucid when I was there. I flew in from Texas to see her and I am so pleased with everything. The employees were very friendly and said they just love her. God Bless you all for what you do!

I have mostly positive things to say about the memory care unit at HG in Greensboro, NC. My mother spent three months there before my father decided to take her out. The reason was due to his personal grief in having her there while he still lived alone at home. She would react emotionally every time he visited (which I understand is common) and that was hard on them both. However, while she was there her health improved. She went into HG after having fallen several times and after three months was walking much better, eating better, and her meds were better adjusted such that she was more alert and in better physical health. One complaint would be the supervision at night--she complained about some other residents walking into her room at night while she was in bed. Another problem was that maintenance was slow to respond to issues with my mother's room. But overall, HG was good for her. Dealing with dementia is so difficult and it is hard to arrive at the right answer. Her short term memory was gone, but my mother could reason in the moment and understand what was going on. For now, perhaps, my mother being back at home with her husband is best, but I appreciate the care my mother received from the staff at HG while she was a resident. She may end up going back some day.

Our father-in-law stayed in the independent living apartment homes. We were there frequently and can say it is a wonderful family atmosphere filled with activities. The residents truly care for one another. The staff are friendly and attentive. As we toured other retirement places, the thing that stood out to us about Heritage Greens was how you always see people out and about in the building. At tours in other places, we wondered where the residents were. Not at Heritage Greens. They're socializing in the front porch chairs or sitting by the fire. The transition to independent living is not an easy one, but it would be hard to be lonely at Heritage Greens.

We moved my mom to Heritage Greens in December of 2020. She had been so isolated during the pandemic and it we could see the impact it was having on her health both cognitively and emotionally. It starts from the top down with their management and trickles to their residents who are connected and active. Working with their sales team, Sara and Sydney, is amazing. They are not pushing for a sale but what's best for your loved one whether that be at Heritage Greens or somewhere else. You are in good hands with Kisco.

Heritage Greens (independent living) is by far the best place for you or your loved one to live. My parents have lived there for almost 2 years now, and here are things that I can say: 1. They provide the best customer service. All of the employees treat these residents wonderfully and truly CARE about each and every one. They are all very invested in the residents well being and happiness. Danielle, Melanie, Tony, Bob, and all of them are just amazing. 2. They have OPTIONS (a team of help) available for those residents who aren’t ready to go to assisted living, and still want to feel somewhat independent- but do need assistance. This team goes above and beyond and loves their residents to the core. My parents and I feel like they’re a part of our family (Sherri, Dana, Robin!!!) 3. They have IN HOUSE physical, occupational, and speech therapy. So if you or a family member needs additional therapy, they’re already there and available! Again, I cannot speak any higher about all of the employees there and how Ann, Maria, and Hayley are amazing with my dad and dependable!!! 4. Two places to eat. The dining room has recently acquired a new chef, and boy can you tell. The food there is DELICIOUS and not redundant. 5. The service dept is also amazing. When my parents need something fixed, they are usually there the same day to address any issues. 6. They have a ton of fun socials and outings to keep these residents happy and doing fun things throughout each day! Gina is awesome!! 7. They have changed the colors at the doorways and walls, and boy does it POP! They are also in the process of remodeling the already gorgeous 3 story atrium. The best decision I ever made was moving my parents into Hertiage Greens.

Our tour of Heritage Greens VerraSpring was so good that we just moved my dad there. Great facility. Great staff. The only challenge is that a place this good doesn't have many vacancies. We were fortunate and had one come open just when we needed it. The move in went very smoothly, with excellent support from the staff.

Consistently disappointed in the food, cleanliness, and care giving knowledge of associate staff. My family and I believed in the "5 Star" care for my mother, 91 but over time I have come to realize the only thing "5 Star" is the price. The point system used for assisted care is exhausting and difficult to understand. Presentation is nice and impressive but not so much the quality of care and compassion for residents.

This was my first visit. I was helping a friend get the space ready for her aunt and uncle to arrive for the first time. The whole place is just lovely. It’s smells of aromatherapy and is bright and welcoming. The residents seem happy and the staff couldn’t be nicer. Very nice facility.

My mother lived in the independent care building and now lives in their memory care building. I can't express how thankful I am that my mom lives here and we found such an amazing place. I am so thankful for their entire team and all they do for their residents. I've done homework and been many places and this place is hands down #1. There truly is no place like home. But when I came to realize I could no longer provide what my Dad needed at home, I started the search for a place that could provide what I couldn't. I had many friends recommend Heritage to me, but I didn't just take their word for it. I visited every memory care in town. I am so thankful we chose Heritage. It has been a blessing having a caring team surround him with love in this difficult time of life. I love how it feels like a family environment when you walk in. It is just astonishing to me how this feeling transcends to the residents and how they treat one another. I have witnessed residents walking together hand in hand looking for car keys they think they lost or trying to find the restroom, but they calm each other. When a new resident moves in soon enough they will find a buddy that helps them adjust. I think this happens because of the way they are treated by the staff. It is really very sweet to watch. This was the difference I did not see at other places. At the end of the day it's not perfect, but I know my Dad is loved and cared for.

Where do I begin? It's such a relief and comfort knowing Mom is in a safe, secure and active location. The apartments are well maintained. Meal packages are available to suit individual preferences. However, the real bonus for living at HG is the staff. They make every effort to create the very best environment so the residents feel like they are "home". From the very 1st moment a resident walks in the door, they are greeted by name and treated with dignity and respect. Each associate from: Dining, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Wellness and Administration is there for residents. There are a multitude of activities, some routine each month(bingo, noodle ball, bridge, music performances, etc) to unique periodic offerings (bowling, wineries, candy store trips, Family Nights, Our State presentations, etc). Thank you Kisco, Melanie and the entire staff for all you do!

Recently had the opportunity to attend a few meetings and take a tour of the Memory Care community at Heritage Greens. What a special place. The leadership team I've met with including Melanie, Jody, Melissa, Sara, Danielle and others are incredibly warm and resourceful, and the events they are constantly putting on for their residents and families are spectacular. Heritage Greens is fabulous. My parents moved there almost 1 year ago and have been very happy. The staff is wonderful and so accommodating, The food and dining room are great and they offer a varied menu to please all the residents. I am amazed at the activities they offer! There is constantly something going on. The wellness and activity teams keep the residents challenged both physically and mentally. Everyone on the staff is pleasant and helpful. Family is always welcome at Heritage Greens and included in events, activities and celebrations.
