My Mother fell on June 24th and was found in her bathroom. I received the call that morning around 8:00 AM, at which time my Mother was already in route to Rex Hospital at Holly Springs. I live 10 minutes away from the facility and would have very much appreciated receiving the call immediately and could have met the emergency workers and rode either in the ambulance with her, she was extremely frightened, or I could have followed them to hospital. Upon admittance, it was discovered that she had broken her left hip, left upper arm and had a large contusion on left side of her head. Her hip required surgery, pins and screws, broken arm with sling which she was unable to move for 6 weeks. After 3 nights, she was transported to Rex Rehab on Lake Boone Trail. While there she fell out of bed and broke her right hip and sliced the back of her skull. Surgery this time required a right hip replacement. Due to the inadequate care our family received at Rex Rehab, our family decided to bring her home. My Mother died on August 17th. We officially cleaned out her room at The Addison on July 8th and this facility is STILL automatically withdrawing $7530.00 like clockwork since her fall on June 24th. After MANY attemps to have our money returned, there has been NO success. Please consider this terrible mishap of justice when considering whether or not to place your loved one in an institution with so few morals!! Tracey Thompson

My mother in law is in memory care. The staff is wonderful & they are taking such great care of her! It is such a relief for our whole family!!

Well, I found it strange that no hand towels were in the bathroom and no toilet tissue or depends while visiting a resident with her sister. She stated she had to use the bathroom several times and was ignored until finally soiled her depends. I began to help when realizing there was nothing to clean her with. Not even toilet tissue or a hand towel. I went to get help after removing her cloths and depends which were completely soiled. Staff explained to me why they do not keep supplies in residents rooms bc they clog the toilets with them.

I am so pleased that we moved my grandmother here. The staff is really attentive to her, she likes that as well as us! It always smells nice when we are there, always seems clean & I had lunch with my grandmother the other week and the meal was surprisingly good! I left happy and feeling better about her being there. I am grateful for the care given to my loved one who spent five years of her life here before she recently passed. I found the staff to be responsive and helpful to the various requests we made as a family. We were also pleased with the way the Administration conducted business at Addison.

The journey of finding a place for a loved one is an emotional roller coaster. When I visited The Addison I was so pleased with the friendliness of staff and the smaller less overwhelming setting. My mother has received excellent care there. No matter what time of day I visit the environment is always clean, friendly and responsive to residents needs. UPDATE: The Addison and staff have continued to provide my mom great care. She has now moved into memory care and all the staff there have gone above and beyond to help her, as well as me, to navigate this transition. The memory care director, Lakeisha, has been an amazing support!

Both my mother and my aunt have lived in Garden Place (the memory care wing of Addison of Fuquay). Mother's stay was over six years. The assistance we needed for their placement was provided immediately and sensitively. The services they receive from the staff and administration continued to be individualized and caring. The responsiveness to resident needs and positive relationships with Addison personnel made difficult decisions easier and interactions supportive for our family. We are grateful to the Addison of Fuquay-Varina administration and staff members. Leaving Addison when their services were no longer needed was like leaving family.

The Addison of Fuquay is a wonderful community! They have a variety of activities for the residents to do throughout the day, wonderful home cooked meals for all three meals, and wonderful, caring staff.

EDIT: My father passed away October, 2022. Not long after, to my dismay, I heard the quality went downhill at this facility, right after Cassie, Marie, and Shawna (the Memory Garden director) left. As of now, October, 2023, Cassie is director, and Marie activities director, at Calyx by Carillon in Fuquay. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, I would suggest talking to them. My father has been a resident in the memory garden wing for almost three years. Moving him here was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but was definitely the right thing to do. I visit regularly, on a varied schedule and he is always content, the staff attentive, he and the surroundings are clean and cared for. I know the staff and the staff knows both me and my father very well. I have found them very responsive and caring. I am the only family responsible for him, and I have no idea what I would do without Cassie, Marie, and the rest of the amazing staff.

The staff in the memory care unit is amazing! They take great care of the residents! I have had family members there, and right now my best friend's father is there. The staff is very attentive and communicate wonderfully with the family!

My mother has resided at The Addison for 6 years (formerly Carillon). The staff there is nothing short of amazing. Brian, Cassie, Marie, Shauna and the entire team are among the most special people I could ever hope for. Prior to Covid-19, I knew my mom was in great hands with The Addision. This group of amazing people has become even more special, caring, nurturing and trustworthy during this time. I recommend The Addison of Fuquay for anyone who requires their loved ones to be taking care of in the manner they deserve.

I just recently moved my mother to Addison from out of state so she could be closer to our family. The staff has been very helpful and considerate with this emotional move. Brian, Adam, Cassie, Marie, and all of the caregivers are understanding, patient, and always seem to be in a pleasant mood. Couldn't have asked for a brewer group of people. Happy that Mom is here!

I just love and adore the staff at Carillon Asst. Living in Fuquay Varina, NC. My Mom has been a resident for a year now. I have had lots of interaction with the staff. They are so committed in making sure my Mom is cared for. I now volunteer at Carillon in the craft room. It is very comforting to me, knowing that my Mom is being taking care of in such a loving, respect full, and caring way.

I just want want start with thank you! to the entire staff you have made a very hard and difficult decision our family had to make go very smooth from tbe 1st call i made to you til now this transition couldn't have gone any easier. the entire stsff from the amazing director to my moms care team are the most thoughtful caring and concerned people iv ever meet! actually seeing my mom smile again is priceless and ALL of that is and only because of staff here! i cant thank you ever enough for wgat you do everyday for our family and our mom!

My father has been at Carillon Fuquay-Varina for over 4 years. The current director (Brian) is wonderful, he is easy to reach, responsive to questions and concerns . My father had to go to the hospital a couple of months ago and they could not reach me, Brian went to the hospital with my father and sat with him and answered the hospital staffs questions until I was able to get there. The staff in the memory care unit are like family to me and my father. Some of them have been there from the first day my dad arrived. Dad is well taken care of, I am contacted as soon as there seems to be any issue and when I have an issue it is dealt with promptly, lovingly and professionally.

My mom has lived at Carillon Fuquay for 3 1/2 years. She is very happy there and has said she would never want to move anywhere else. The staff is truly caring and she praises their patience and attentiveness. I have had extensive interaction with the director and nurse and have always felt they are 100% committed to making sure my mom, and all of the residents, are cared for at the highest level. The staff provide numerous opportunities for socialization and activities for all levels of physical and mental capabilities. The layout of the facility creates a home like feeling with numerous sitting areas which encourages the residents to socialize with one another. The attention the staff provides to extreme cleanliness is apparent and I have never seen any area which needed attention. It is very comforting to know that my mother is being cared for at this level and I am very appreciative that the staff work very hard to make sure her needs are met.

My mom moved here a little over a year ago. I was so impressed with the welcome. The staff is truly caring. She has been very happy. They have a kitchen they call country kitchen that you can bring meals in and celebrate with your loved ones. Every month is family night that they treat the families to a meal and some games or singing. Really brings that homey feeling. They even slept on air mattresses in the hall during Hurricane Florence to be sure everyone was safe and well taken care of. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a caring place for their loved ones..
