My loved one has been a resident at Mallard Ridge for three months. He suffers from dementia and is in the memory care unit. His entire team of caregivers have shown so much respect, care and compassion towards him. They have helped me navigate the ups and downs of this cruel disease. I am so thankful for each and everyone involved in his care. Not only do they care for my family member but they care about me as I am learning to cope with this new norm. My sister in law is in Memory care at Mallard. They did a wonderful job the day she was transitioned into the unit introducing her to other residents supporting her through her initial period of confusion. The food when we visited was wonderful and she is eating well.

The facility went above and beyond with the tours, feeding my aunt and uncle lunch which my Uncle said was good. The facility is clean and well taken care of. My Aunt and Uncle will be residents there very soon as they were impressed the the facility and how helpful and personable all the staff were when they toured.

I recently made the difficult decision to move my father in law into assisted living. I chose Mallard Ridge for a few reasons. First, the staff there are wonderful, kind and supportive. Secondly, every resident I met was smiling, engaged in conversations with one another and had an overall happy, healthy and safe appearance. Lastly, the rooms are bright, have beautiful landscaping outside each window and very clean. It makes my heart smile when I see my father in law smiling and engaging in social activities with others who are young at heart. I don’t know how many years he has left in life at 84 years old but I feel confident he will lots of life left in his years at Mallard Ridge. At the end of the day, isn’t that what’s important?

We came to visit with Larry B. While at dinner we were able to watch how caring the staff were to the patients. Dementia is very hard to see on a daily basis, we appreciate the caring we witnessed.

Kim and the staff at Mallard Ridge went above and beyond to help our family. When a family member unfortunately became a patient in "The System" was placed in a Medicare funded facility that wasn't fit for any human. The staff at Mallard Ridge came to the rescue, making it possible to get our family member a bed in less than 48 hours. God Bless you for coming to our aid. Our family is now safe and cared for in a facility that is clean, safe and where staff are engaged with their residents. To add to review, state inspection at Mallard Ridge discovered NO DEFICIENCIES! Great work showing how dedicated the staff at Mallard Ridge are keeping residents safe.

We took a tour with Kim as we’d never investigated a facility like this before. From the moment we walked in, it felt welcoming, clean, bright and restful. The residents appeared to be happy and relaxed, with plenty of smartly dressed staff doing their thing. Everyone knew their residents names, which reassured us they cared. If this is the best option for our family, then we would feel very comfortable in moving her in here!

All of the staff were warm and welcoming. The facility was clean and cheerfully decorated. We spoke to many of the residents and they all spoke highly of the care they were receiving. My husband and I were very impressed with Mallard Ridge.

My parents have been living at Mallard Ridge since the first of 2021. It is a very nice place. Updated and always clean with more updates coming. They seem to do their very best to have activities for the residents regularly and often include the families. The staff ... what can I say. These are some of the very best, kindest and caring people I know. You get to know people pretty good when you are charged with the care of your parents. In working with this group of caregivers, from the front office to the back door, I have come to love and appreciate those that put their hearts into caring for my mom and dad. Nothing is perfect and people are human, but as far as I'm concerned this is a top notch facility full of caring people ... they make an effort to care for my parents, work with me, listen to my concerns, offer solutions ... like family. I think your experience will also depend on the abilities of the patient and how much they and you are involved. The facility and staff will work with you if you're willing to try.

Enjoyed my visit today with a friend at Mallard Ridge. I’ve been to many other Assisted Living facilities in my service to the Lord and I must say none have been so clean and so nice with staff so pleasant and helpful. So at my age I thought they might not let me leave which would not really be so bad. They did let me join in with the ladies (I was the only man) and tie-dye a t-shirt. I think it will be a masterpiece.

It is a great place and wonderful people that are so sweet to my mom. But they really do need to get the bingo store back. That's the only thing that they look forward to. And then they never know what time they will get their food. Breakfast is always cold and they have sit in the dining room until 640 before they get their dinner. They may need more help in the kitchen?

One year ago my family and I moved my aunt into Mallard Ridge and words just can’t explain how awesome it is. The facility is always very clean and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The staff consistently displays compassion and is always very courteous and respectful towards the residents. My aunt loves Mallard Ridge and she always talk about how nice the staff is. It is never an easy journey to watch your parent become incapable of caring for themselves. The staff at Mallard Ridge try to make this easier for you and your loved one! They are respectful of their residents and show great compassion. I would highly recommend this staff. They are very knowledgeable, caring and open to questions and concerns. I am not sure you can do much better than Mallard Ridge if you are looking for find placement for your loved one!

My dear friend (I'm her POA because she has no family near here) has been a resident at Mallard Ridge for almost eight years. She started in Assisted Living and is now in Memory Care. I'm so very thankful for the Administrative Staff, they always are helpful and answer my questions. I am confident in their leadership at Mallard Ridge. The staff who daily care for my friend, and all of the residents, are also very special. They talk to her, laugh with her, provide great activities and treat her in a very kind and gracious way. I have visited MANY Assisted Living Facilities in and near Winston-Salem...none compare to the leadership and staff at Mallard Ridge. I'm thankful everyday that my friend is well cared for by these folks!! If my parents were still living I would definitely be confident to have them living here.

My Mother lived here for 6 months. Thanks to Susan Wilson for getting her in for rehabilitation from a fall. She was always treated with care and kindness. My Mother enjoyed playing the piano in the activity room often. The other residents and staff would come in to sing or just listen. They had many activities and planned gatherings with food for families and friends to participate. This was prior to the Corona virus. My Mother has since passed away. I will always have fond memories of her stay at Mallard Ridge.

My mom has been at Mallard Ridge for 1.5 years. She did not want to be there at first. She wanted to go back home. Through the support, encouragement, and love she really likes being there. They have a lot of fun activities and they take the resident on excursions. She loves all of staff and they love her.

My Mother who has the worst case of osteoporohsis I have known was at Mallard Ridge memory care unit for 4 days and fell twice.One the first day she was there and the second one on her forth day.The 4th day gave her 4 broken dislocated ribs of which no attention was given until the next day.We pulled her out of there and never returned.She is still in the hospital declining because of this.I WOULD NEVER recommend this place period!!!
