What relative wouldn't want to have a wonderful place like this in times of need that has a loving caring and professional staff? They are providing a clean environment with delicious nutritious food. It certainly takes a weight off my shoulders and heart and surely will for you! What more could you ask for? I see Shannon and Josh setting a good example for the rest of the staff as a team to get the job done. I do want to thank them and the whole rest of the staff.

The staff is very personal / friendly. The chef is good and they serve good meals. The upper management is not the most personal IE: lack of concerns for there clients. We recently moved my mother inlaw and sister inlaw out. The cost is getting to high for the service they provide. There's nicer places in Charlotte for the same cost. Be were of the come on pricing.

I recently attended a health care program here as a guest and was pleasantly surprised with the services offered. I need most of the assisted living services that are offered but are not listed here. They should update the information.

I am treated as an equal here I am not just a member of a herd here, I am an individual with my my specific set of needs. I am well fed. Due to my own emotional problems, I often isolate which isnt very healthy sometimes. I guess that I wish that I would not isolate so much & my nerves were better.

Just checking to see if someone my need Services its the Holiday Season We dont want anyone feeling left out or just to have someone to talk walk just spend time with do house duties wash clothes keep place clean anything that needs to be done...

Nice facilities and pleasant professional staff. Need to have more day outings for tenants and should look into partnering with a group or groups who want to spend time with senior citizens, like youth groups, schools, boy, girl scouts, etc. I think this would help challenge and sharpen the tenants physical, emotional and mental capabilities.

Parents live there and love it ! There is no such thing as perfect but Shads Landing is as close as it gets. Every staff member is kind and compassionate and patient. Residents are friendly. Physical and occupational therapy staff are amazing. Thank you to every team member there for what you do !

My mother lives here she is almost 90. They feed you huge meals. There is always something youll like from your daily menu choices. This place is clean& staff are professional. Thiffany is very helpful & will readily contact my sister if she notices something that concerns her. Its a rather large facility for active adults. Had a pond where you can watch the fish & turtles which is very relaxing.

Went to visit with my dad when he was looking for retirement homes. Absolutely beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive to his needs.

My dad has been living at Shads Landing for 5 years. They do a great job there. Janice is my favorite manager. She is very good at what she does. Pricing is moderate and the facility is kept up well.

Mother-in-law lives there. Nice, friendly, good activities for those that want to get involved. Kitchen does need improvement. And the menus do not always correspond to what is served. Corporate (Holiday) seems to always be in flux. Changes seem to be constant within the Shads community. One constant has been the manager at Shads and she is great! Shes the glue that holds it together and the residents love her!

Mom has been there for two years and has settled in nicely, enjoying the activity and comraderie. Food quality is somewhat inconsistent, a dissappointment from the initial hype, and each meal takes 1 1, 2 to 2 hours to complete. Thats a lot of dining room time! Prospective residents should keep in mind that this is an independent living facility--not an assisted living or nursing home and that Holiday is a for-profit outfit. Rates go up $100 to $200 annually, like clock work, with no improvement in amenities or services. Be wary of application, registration gimmicks and promises. The facility serves a very needed purpose and the atmosphere is pleasant; however, for us, the marketing and sales hype was a bit on the shady side. Recently, similar facilities have sprung up in the area, but at the time we needed it, there werent many options. In short, its not all bad, but its not all good.
