We’ve had some bad experiences with some home health agencies, so much that you begin to think, are they all the same? Then I called Home Care Freedom Agency, Karen, who runs the agency made us feel so comfortable, she came to our house and was very accommodating with my mother’s needs. I followed my instincts and immediately put in Our request to switch agencies and go with Home Care Freedom. We’ve been with Home Care Freedom now for at least six months give or take and never been happier. I highly recommend this agency very professional, efficient And most of all accommodating to my mother‘s needs. We recently moved to North Carolina from Florida with my 90 year old father. Karen at Home Care Freedom and her team have been invaluable to me and my family. As an only child, my mother lives on the other side of the country and Home Care Freedom has provided me with security, confidence, and sanity as it comes to providing in-home care to my mother. Onboarding – Karen and her team sat down with me numerous times to ensure that my top priorities for my mother’s care were considered in arranging the ideal plan. My top concerns included: Ensuring consistent transportation to numerous medical appointments/procedures Providing accurate and consistent medication management Planning and executing healthy meal plans that are specific to my mother’s dietary restrictions. Updating – After our initial trail period of in-home care, Karen and her team touched base with me to address the following concerns they had: My mother needed more in-home care hours than the VA originally provided Her diet was a concern to the team Ongoing – Karen and her team at the end of the day have provided my mother with the safety and ability to remain in her home while ensuring her dignity can remain intact. My mother’s needs are not age based, but disability based, so to be as young as she is and need this much care, it was important for all of us to ensure her independence was maximized. In addition to the previously mentioned services, Home Care Freedom has become and essential part of my mother’s care: They are proactive in outreach to obtain necessary resources, i.e. discovering horse therapy They keep me in the loop on my mother’s appointments by ensuring the Family Google Calendar is up to date They reach out to me regarding any tools or supplies they believe would be helpful in ensuring my mom remains comfortable Probably most importantly, they are an advocate in communicating with Veteran’s Affairs and assisting my mother in navigating their red tape. It is hard to put into words how Karen and her team have really put stability back into our lives. We can not thank them enough.

She not only took wonderful care of him, but she became like a part of our family. He looked forward to her coming each day, and so did we.
