My mother needed placement on very short notice, and after calling on a Thursday morning, I was able to tour the facility that same afternoon. Karey Eastwood was absolutely amazing”knowledgeable, compassionate, and incredibly welcoming throughout the entire process. We felt so confident in the care and environment that we signed my mom up the very next day. The facility is spotless, well-maintained, and fully staffed at all times, which gave our family tremendous peace of mind. My mother and I had a very lovely tour with Community Relations Director, Ms. Karey Eastwood. She was warm, welcoming and took the time to inform us of the facilities workings, answer our questions and never made us feel rushed or pressured. We've even been invited to their upcoming crawfish boil! Hahha The Claiborne is a beautiful facility. I cannot say enough wonderful things about how Jessica Murray has kept us enlightened about my mom’s new life in memory care at Claiborne. My journey with The Claiborne began in 2023, when we selected their facility to care for a loved one, after receiving recommendation for their memory care unit. Since arrival staff, admin & nurses have exceeded all expectations. They truly develop personal relationships with all residents. I couldn’t be happier with the decision to use The Claiborne. Jessica M. is always a delight, professional & caring. Not being able to meet the care needs of my loved one was tough, but knowing Jessica M. fills in the gaps where I cannot puts my heart at ease. I think my loved one prefers her over me most days! Even our very first visit I told my family I’d want to be placed there in the event it was necessary. The Claiborne truly has become home.

Although not a community member at present I am looking forward to moving into their Assisted Living Community. I have toured and reserved an apartment. The apartment is huge and extremely well-designed fully accessible for those of us with mobility issues. The amenities are fabulous. They even have occupational and physical therapies on-site. And thrilling for me a hair salon (fee based). Having had my first manicure at 69 I look forward to utilizing this service. It is a beautiful facility but more importantly to me was the spirit of caring and compassion and welcome. I am so grateful that Gulfport has a community where one can live their best life as they age.

I HIGHLY recommend the Claiborne to anyone looking for assisted living, or memory care. Their staff is full of compassion, and you can feel that warmth from the time you walk in the front door. They are intentional about making every resident feel cared for, and valued. They prioritize connections, and have a FIVE STAR activities director that helps keep residents engaged.

I’ve been to Claiborne for some of their events a few times. The employees and the residents are very welcoming. My daughter works with some of the residents there and they get along with her very well. Their all like a family and they greet you with a smile as soon as you walk through the doors.

Very pleased with The Claiborne, I have two family members living there and I feel they are well cared for. The staff is caring and helpful, they helped me a great deal in the beginning with the transition from home to facility. Drew and Jimmy went above and beyond their job duties to help us up the steps into our former home on a personal visit. The meals are good, the facility is clean and well lit, there are many fun activities scheduled, and safety and health are taken very seriously. The Claiborne feels more like a nice resort than assisted living. Hoping they let me live there one day.

Me and my family have been looking for a place for my grandmother. She has bad eye sight and severe diabetes. They make sure she's taken care of with all her essential needs. The Claiborne has proven to be a true game changer for the health of our aunt Mary. After being there for only 3 full days she has put away her walker AND her cane, says she can walk better without it. She has again remembered how to play the piano, loves her apartment, loves her new furniture, especially her new bed and as of yesterday was spotted on the porch in a rocking chair visiting with a neighbor in an animated conversation. The upbeat attitude of the staff (all of them) and the residents is the absolute best of any facility I have visited! It is by far the most inviting assisted living building I have witnessed with activities galore to keep everyone engaged. It has more of an uplifting resort vibe than its true purpose. Thank you Claiborne for giving Mary her life back!

My grandfather was a resident at this beautiful retirement facility and I couldn’t have found a nicer place for him. Upon entering we were greeted with that warm and fuzzy feeling of this is home. The Director of Operations, Mrs. Nancy McCallister was not only polite, courteous and knowledgeable but made us feel like family. The staff were also extremely welcoming with hugs and gave us a sense of love and security. Ms. Annie , the Activity Director focused on my grandfather’s personal interests and life’s fulfillments for his daily activities. I saw my grandfather become much more at ease and more willing to accept his new home from the simplest acts of love, commitment and individual interest from all the workers there. This is not just a retirement home but a home filled with a people that are willfully and honestly wanting to make a difference in my grandfather’s life!!!! It’s not the prettiness of a place that makes a good place for a person you love it’s the living and caring staff wanting to make a difference!!!
