I'm An Contractor, The Weekend Receptionist Is RUDE!! VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WORK DAY. EACH TIME I WENT FOR BREAK IT WAS HORRIBLE ENERGY ASKING HER TO LET ME OUT OR IN THE BUILDING! WILL NOT BOOK HERE AGAIN

I was optimistic at first but that quickly changed to worry. Some staff nurses and aids were great. Some made it clear they were temps and would do very little to help. The rooms are dated. My mom's ceiling had mold. We asked repeatedly to get her out of a room with a very ill woman who screamed constantly. They claimed to be full but after walking the halls you could tell that is a lie. They are always short staffed. A long time staff lpn or cna explained it had gone down hill in the time she was there. She had nothing good to say and was apparently looking for a new job. If you are thinking about this place for your family explore other facilities first. There are people who care. Just very few.

It was a rocky start with the care for my mom. I read the reviews and chose this place for my mom's hospice journey. After getting to know some of the main caregivers, it started to smooth out. It was just over two weeks for my mom to pass. The crew was very compassionate and really cared. I want to thank them all. I hope they realize not everyone in the facility is cut out for this job.They do have some awesome employees. I hope they stick around. Thank you for everything.

My mom has been provided with personalized services in the homes of numerous other residents. The quality of the food is exceptional, and their amenities are a huge plus.

My Church's ladies club held a "spring training-themed baseball party" for the residents. It was my first time there. The dining room / common area was bright and clean and the healthcare professionals all seemed very nice and appreciative of our efforts. I was a volunteer helping serve refreshments to the residents during the party. The residents all smiled and enjoyed the party. I did not see any of the residents' rooms but from what I could see, the hallways were also bright and clean.

Everyone has been so nice during each visit I've made. The staff is friendly and the residents seem well cared for. Big Bend Woods is a very nice facility.

Went to tour. While is an older facility and could use some cosmetic sprucing up, the staff was fantastic and you could see and feel the residents are taken care of and happy!
