We've told a lot of friends about Mason Pointe and how it is like a nice resort or a cruise ship that never docks. The thing that makes it so wonderful is the staff. They are so supportive of the residents and one another. It's a true team - not one person saying do this or do that but everyone helps each other out to get the job done. The people are real - we've yet to meet any pretenders and that is very important to us. The food is wonderful and there is so much to do. There are two restaurants and a pub area with a full service bar and game room. We have Taco Tuesdays, Friday ice cream socials, movies every afternoon and trips to the winery just to name a few. You can stay busy all day every day if you so choose or you can stay home and do nothing. There is a wonderful fitness center and pool available with many fitness classes from which to choose. It's comforting to know that as our health declines we can move from Mason Pointe independent living to assisted living to long term care and never have to leave the campus. Each floor of the facility has a common area for meeting, greeting, reading and social interaction with other residents and staff including an all day coffee bar. Come join us!

What a wonderful place to live! The entire staff have been SUPER - kind, helpful, thoughtful, and always happy. The facility is gorgeous with many varied activities. My mom moved in to Mason Pointe Assisted Living about a month ago. She is still working to adjust and the staff have been so compassionate and caring. She really wanted to move in but also really misses her house and family. The staff in Assisted Living have been nothing short of amazing! We, Carolyn & Phil Streetman, are residents of Mason Pointe Lutheran Services Independent Living. For any that are considering Mason Pointe, our first thought is that we made the correct choice. They are always thinking of our needs. After living in a motor home for 5 months, they were quick to let us get settled. The Director, Drew Redman, and Assistant Director, Barbara Rios, are always available and so kind. We believe they set the example for everyone that works to make our living here a pleasure. All the staff, from housekeepers, maintenance, restaurant workers, etc. are so helpful and accommodating. We have never seen a staff worker impatient. They seem to be having fun developing our community with us. This Mason Pointe community has done many things for us that are not expected. About the residents. All friendly. All of us have downsized. Most of us have had a lot of furniture to move. The moving coordinators measure our furniture and (with computer) see how our furniture will fit. They are wonderful. We have community meetings, where we are asked our input on various things, such as meals. The staff listens to our suggestions, considers and make adjustments, when appropriate. No human being is perfect, but we have seen nothing to complain about. The Chaplin, fitness trainers and activity directors are so encouraging. The maintenance crew are always ready to help. We enjoy the swim pool, fitness rooms, Bible studies, art room. There are so many opportunities to make friends. It is just a great place to live and enjoy. We should mention: we do like our apartment. We thought we would never be able to have all our stuff, but it is surprising how much we have in our home. It is enjoyable to live in our new home with our stuff.

We’ve had our best friend at Mason point for seven years this past January. And I have many other friends that have relatives in other residence in the area and we find Mason point to be superior in all points. Particularly during this COVID-19 pandemic. It’s been very difficult on family members and residence as well as the employees. But the employees at Mason point go out of their way to give the best care humanly possible. I sometimes have to fuss at the staff (lovingly ) and tell them to stop spoiling him. Not only the nurses and aids the management staff and executives give the same care and love for all of the residence. The policies that they’ve put in place or understandably restrictive but at the same time I wouldn’t change a one of them. They are working very hard to protect both residence in the staff. We could not be more pleased.

When my uncle went to Mason Pointe two years ago he chose it because it was a five star facility. It has now fallen to a feeble 3.4 and that is generous. Another home I found for slightly less than the rediculous $9000 a month he pays is like a country club and has employees with decades of service. Unfortunately at this point he is so afraid of change that even letting him run out of toilet paper the other week did not get him to move. For $9000 a month if he wants three rolls of toilet paper and paper towels in his bathroom he is certainly paying for it. There are a handful of loyal employees who are overworked. Mason Pointe is perpetually under staffed. Their workers are a revolving door. I have witnessed many times staff sitting on couches in the hallways playing on their phones instead of tending to the residents. The housekeeping is sporadic and the food mediocre. The laundry recently undependable. Mason Pointe just finished spending tens of thousands of dollars totally remodeling the lobby area and added a small built in desk in the first floor hallway not meant to be staffed just for show. The rooms look like sparsely appointed hospital rooms. For $9000 a month the rooms should look like home. The social worker who I spoke with today is unconcerned about my concerns about my uncle. Her main concern seems to be keeping the peace. When I asked her about a particular situation she told me I could call the nursing station myself and let them know. Is this what $9000 a month buys these days.? I think not! Do not waste your money!

I cannot say enough good things about Mason Pointe. They took excellent care of my mother-in-law during her recent rehab stay. All of the staff were so caring and friendly. They loved her like their own!! They were so helpful to my husband and I as we looked for places and resources for assisted living after her discharge. The facility is warm and homey. It’s clean and welcoming. I highly recommend Mason Pointe!!

Mason Pointe has earned this 5 star rating with a great deal of hard work, dedication and caring for my Mother who is recovering from a stroke. If you would have asked me in the first month that my Mother entered Mason Pointe the review would have been different. What I appreciate and respect about Mason Pointe’s team is they took all feedback and at times early on harsh critiques and went above and beyond to get better and make sure my Mother receives the best care and attention. They raised the bar for themselves and have truly done amazing work with my Mother. My Mother still has a long way to go with her recovery and transition to Assisted Living but with the team at Mason Pointe’s continued hard work and desire to treat each resident as family I have no doubt she is in good hands for that journey. Placing our mother here was a tough decision. After she spent time here last year for rehab it was an easy and straightforward process. The staff from placement to everyday care are impressive and really care about your loved ones like they are their own. She has interacted with more residents and has enjoyed her time there so far. They have activities everyday to keep residents involved and interacting with one another. A special thanks to Kathleen and Wendy for all of their help with the transition and how they go out of their way to help both my mother and myself with any questions we have or have had.

I was hit head on while on a two lane highway in January 2018. I broke seven bones and was immediately sent into surgery. I had 2 surgeries, including an external fixator. Both my legs were broken along with my left wrist and lower spine. I was not able to be accepted into rehab and needed a place to heal (including the need for swelling to go down) before my third surgery. Mason Pointe immediately took me until I was able to go into my next surgery. Everyone there was so incredibly nice and helpful. I was able to learn stretches, how to function everyday (brush my hair, teeth, etc.), but most importantly how to slide in and out of my wheelchair. If I was sad, in pain, or frustrated, they were immediately there to support and help me. They even allowed my friends to hang out with me whenever, along with my family...and their pets! They even helped hook up my Playstation 4! I had a great experience with Mason Pointe! Thank you!

I have been so happy with Mason Point, Lutheran Senior Services. My aunt was staying at a different assisted living facility, in which neither she nor I were happy. It was so hard leaving her at the facility after every visit. Therefore, I began a pursuit in finding another home for her. I checked out many Assisted Living facilities in our area, but we landed at Mason Pointe, and have NEVER LOOKED BACK! They have bent over backwards to accommodate our transition, to make my aunt & I feel welcomed and get her room set up. My aunt has never been happier since leaving her home. Now I enjoy visiting her, and feel very comfortable leaving her in good hands. Thank You Mason Pointe for your excellent care and services. You were the BEST choice for us.

After hearing my concerns I will admit that Drew Redman was a stand up guy & listened to my issues, checked into them & we came to a resolution(he forgave a portion of our bill which I greatly appreciated) & assured me that the discharge process would be revised & issues like this will not occur again. Can't say enough how professional & courteous he was throughout my grievances. Thank you. REVISION: Staff are nice but having issues with the doctor calling me back, the place is nice but severely understaffed. My father is backsliding & getting worse. If things don't change tomorrow I'm calling an ambulance & taking him back to E.R SHOULD HAVE PULLED MY FATHER & TOOK HIM BACK TO HOSPITAL WHEN I NOTICED SOMETHING WAS WRONG. DISCHARGED HIM & LEAD ME TO BELIEVE HE COULD WALK 90FT WITH A WALKER, AND AT ONE POINT HE PROBABLY COULD, BUT UPON RELEASE HE COULDN'T EVEN STAND ON HIS OWN AND I HAD TO TAKE HIM BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER HE FELL AFTER WALKING 5FT. HAD AN INFECTION IN HIS BACK THAT WASN'T MASON POINTE FAULT BUT SHOULD HAVE NOTICED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WHEN HE STARTED DECLINING INSTEAD OF IMPROVING. PLUS THEY SENT HIM HOME WITH 3 MED CARDS OF ANOTHER PATIENT MEDICINE. NO PAIN MEDS. AND LEFT A FOLEY CATHETER IN FOR 27DAYS & HE HAD A UTI BECAUSE OF IT. NOW HES INCONTINENT BECAUSE THEY LEFT IT IN SO LONG. IF WE CANT RESOLVE THE BILLING DISPUTE I HAVE, I WILL BE CONTACTING AN ATTORNEY.

Employees assigned patient care very slow in responding to call button. Decided that if I had another heart attack, I would call 911 directly from my room. Fire department paramedic would respond faster than the staff here. Administrator is very capable and responded to my request to speak to him quickly. Food service do not know what'low sodium diet" means. Now that they know I made a critical review they are withholding some of my prescribed medications.

My grandmother spent 3 weeks at Mason Pointe for short stay Rehab due to a fractured back. Although she was not thrilled about staying somewhere outside of her home for rehab, the staff members at Mason Pointe made her stay comfortable and effective. A day or two after getting settled in, her rehab began and the therapists were very patient in helping her. The Executive Director, Drew Redman, also made the effort to stop by her room and speak with her, making sure she had everything she needed and answered any questions we all had. Mason Pointe also has daily activities she could attend. Between the activities, friends and family being able to visit with her, the great bedside manner from employees, it all made her stay more comfortable and reassuring. I would recommend Mason Pointe to anyone that could use their services!

Our daughter had to stay overnight after having surgery and when we ask about motels Bobby and Suzanne offered to put us in a room across the hall from our daughter and made beds for us to sleep in and provided our meals and anything we needed,Bobby was there to help all 3 of us and ,when we went to our vehicle the next morning the battery was dead and the nurse Chana offered to charge it for us.Bobby,Suzanne and Chana all went above and beyond their duties to help us and took such great care of our daughter that we knew this was a very special place that has such kind employees that have a heart of gold.Thank you all for everything you do at Mason Pointe. Our family faced a challenging health event involving my 91 year old mother. We wound up at the Mason Pointe skilled nursing center for rehab care and could not have been more pleased with the professionalism, talent, support and loving attention mom received. We then moved mom into the assisted living memory care unit and have had the same great experience with the people and facilities. The premises are spotless and the environment warm, responsive and caring. I would recommend Mason Pointe highly for all children considering a continuum of care setting for their parents or loved ones. Keep up the great work and THANK YOU.

My dad had knee replacement surgery. We needed a nice place for him to rehab for about 3 weeks max. We placed him at this facility. The grounds and the buildings are beautiful but don't be fooled. His pain medication never seemed to make it to him although it was "checked out." The nurse would routinely drop his pills off and leave, not sticking around to see if he swallowed them, dropped them (which he did do more than once as I found them on the floor) or worse yet, choke. If he asked for ANYTHING, a cup of water, help to go to the bathroom, for a blanket no one responded. I witnessed this first hand many times as I would visit twice daily. The aides are horrendous at best. Rude, uncaring, unresponsive and sneaky. My dad would have to wait for 2+ hours to go to the bathroom and keep in mind, he couldnt walk yet. And this is really just the tip of the iceberg. To be fair, the physical therapy staff was very good and so was the social worker who we expressed our concerns to. After 1 week I feared that the abysmal care would create a bigger problem health wise so we moved him to my sisters house and everyone in the family did their best to take care of him and make him comfortable. I would suggest you not bring your relative here. They truly have serious staffing issues that are not immediately apparent until you spend an evening there.
