I have been here over two and a half years. I love the staff. They are really good. It is a blessing to have Jonathan and Clare and the two Amy’s in the office. They are always there when you need them. I just love living here!

My wife and I moved while we were both driving and mobile. My wife had diagnosed Parkinson. She was having beginning trouble getting meals on the table. We came and saw the facility and had a meal Prime Rib. It offered down sized what we needed. We came from a Villa arrangement and outside items were taken care of. So it fit for us. At the time we had program of spending a week anywhere another facility was available. We had a son in California. Bingo! Away we went, several times, while mobility was doable. So move before you need to do so. We stayed and went through Hospice until my wife passed. We brought in medical help as needed. Now I am still mobile and my needs are still met at Orchid Terrace and I am not facing what to do?

Visited a few weeks ago and was shown around by the General Manager - she was kind, knowledgeable and thorough. Called her today to move forward with moving our parents to Orchid Terrace and she informed us she was no longer with them. We are looking for a different place now. No one else there made us feel the way she did when we met her. Genuine and authentic. Community was nice, clean and our lunch was good. Apartments are nice. Many of these places are the same, sometimes that one person makes the difference.

I just got my dad a apartment here and I can tell you before we even move him in we are so pleased and happy. The manager has been so incredible to me and my sister knowing we are having a hard time with where my dad was. She really cared and I spoke with her on the phone and it was like speaking to family. I cant wait to get my dad moved in. I just know he will be well taken care and it means the world to me and my sister. 100 stars if I could give them!

We just recently moved from a Retirement Facility in Florida! It was considered one of the best facilities in Central Florida! Orchid Terrace is so much better! The food is always nice and there are always choices. A nice example is we have hot homemade rolls every day, the same kind you had at school years ago! Like eating at Lamberts Restaurants every day! The residents are another strong point. They are so friendly and polite and are always ready to help you, if you need help! The employees are all friendly and helpful. We have not encountered one incident of an employee being rude or unkind! The Management always has high visibility and are always ready to help you! They always have a big presence in the building and the dining room! They enjoy talking to you.! Management is great! All the employees are great, but Angel stands out as especially dedicated employee! It doesn't take long to see that she has her heart is in her work and she loves Orchid Terrace. She takes joy in being helpful to all the residents. The residents love her! You always know you can go to Angel with any question you have about the facility or the area. Being a local she knows the St. Louis area like the back of her hand! We always feel like we are in good hands when we see her moving about the building! We are so happy with Orchid Terrace, and we have not had one complaint! We love living here!

I first reached out to the parent company but have not received a response. So, I will post my concerns publicly : I am writing you at the behest of my loved one who currently resides at Orchid Terrace Retirement Home. They are afraid there will be retaliation from the staff if they complain. Which is an issue in itself. Over the past several months they have had less and less amenities provided. When there are staff to provide the basic functions that we signed up for, the staff are rude and provide poor quality of service. Even simple tasks like taking an order at meal time is met with a rude, "What do you want?". No hello, no how are you... Nothing. Getting your unit cleaned is next to impossible, and when it does happen, there might as well have been nothing done since the cleaning is abismal. Particularly Sabrina should not be in the service of such a vulnerable population. Although the food started out with high marks, it has gotten worse and worse over the past few months. Instead of wholesome fresh ingredients, they are served sandwiches with minimal filling and stale potato chips every night. Portions have become smaller and smaller and food quality is lacking. There are also no low salt or diabetic options which means the majority of the food is not healthy. There is no nutrition consultation happening. More recently, instead of setting the tables for lunch and dinner meals with glassware, they are served on Styrofoam and plastic single use items. Not only is this degrading, it is not what is boasted on your website "restaurant style dining". This facility has had thefts and break-ins. It is extremely upsetting to know that I can't rely on the safety of this building to keep my family from having such terrible things happen to them. Management does not seem to care that things are going downhill as witnessed by complaining resulting in retaliatory behaviours such as removal of food items that were specifically requested. There is also way too much nepotism in management with many related to each other and unwilling to criticize poor work. Over the past several months, any complaints made to management have been met with excuses. Usually it is blamed on the pandemic, but even when things seem to be going well pandemic wise, this place does not seem to be able to get it together. My loved one will likely have no choice but to start searching for a new place to live that can meet their needs as agreed upon in their contract.

Wonderful place. Our parents who are in their 80s have moved in in June and have loved it. The staff is so caring and fun. They have made so many friends. We are so happy they have found such a great place to live.

Jonathan gave us a tour and we were impressed from the get go. His excitement and eagerness to tell us about Orchid Terrace was evident from his greetings to everyone one he saw, knowledge of the rooms, and general information. He made us instantly feel at home. I am glad to say that my parents will be their newest residents in the near future. We are excited to become part of the Orchid Terrace community.

It looks like it would be a great place for seniors to live. Spacious rooms, very attentive staff, day trips and excellent meals prepared by an actual chef. It's all inclusive so the monthly fee covers everything, which would make it easier for seniors to only pay one bill instead of dozens. I would recommend.

This is a retirement community it's it's beautiful they have wonderful flowers the food is great the people are super friendly and helpful it's very clean there's plenty of stuff to do for the residents there it's just a really really nice place they have a lot of stuff to do and and good food and and beautiful flowers and everything and it's very well kept
