This place is the very best. My 90 year old mother is no longer able to Live completely on her own and Lake St. Charles retirement center has allowed her some autonomy while being in a protective environment. The staff is warm, kind and efficient. Mom is so happy here and doesn't miss an activity!

Mom has been here for five years now. The staff has been great! Very flexible to whatever Mom needed as she needed it. The facility is pleasant and feels very much like home. Lots of programs for the residents. Well maintained.

My mom has lived in the independent living at Lake St Charles for three years. When she first moved in, she was diagnosed with dementia. We visited four locations in St Charles. Mom said Lake St Charles felt the most comfortable. We have had a great experience the last three years. The staff is amazing, the upkeep of the facility Is top-notch, and mom feels at home with the residents. She gets plenty of socialization during all of the activities and outings. I couldn’t have wished for a better or safer place for mom to have chosen to live.

My Mom's sister was a resident at Lake Saint Charles. When Mom was ready to move, we toured two other places. When she walked into Lake Saint Charles, she said it felt like home. Everyone is just wonderful. They truly care about all of the residents and make sure to offer activities for all. I love the philosophy to keep your loved one independent as long as possible. They offer additional services to do just that. I cannot imagine Mom being anywhere else.

This community is very welcoming and friendly and reflects a strong sense of belonging. The staff is professional and yet very personal and caring. The facility is very clean, and well-maintained. I am very pleased with how my Mom is loved and taken care of at Lake St. Charles Retirement Community. She has been there for over 1 year and couldn't be happier. She has made so many friends and loves the many activities to choose from. The employees are very friendly and helpful. You would be amazed at how beautifully they decorate for the different holidays and all the special activities and entertainment they have that include family. Also, any time she needs a repair in her apartment, the custodial staff are right there to fix it. I can't say enough how comforting it is to me, her daughter, to know that she is in good hands.

Lake St Charles was a home away from home for my mother. I toured many facilities in West County and couldn’t find the right one! As soon as we walked in the door we knew Lake St Charles was the place. Mom was amazed at the welcoming staff, friendly residents who greeted her and the amazing view of the lake! Mom loved her time at Lake St Charles, the fun activities and amazing food!

The staff is very caring and attentive. There is real respect for the residents, and I feel a good deal of positive energy when I arrive for a visit. My siblings and I are glad that our now 104 year-old mother chose Lake Saint Charles!

The care is phenomenal in both independent and in assisted living. My dad was very content there. But, after he passed, their accounting was questionable and the administration not nearly as compassionate, understanding or personable as the nursing and other facility staff had been during his time there Guess it’s a business, like everywhere else when it comes down to it.

I can't count my lucky stars enough that we happened upon Lake St Charles Senior Living Community of Amy mom! Coming from Chesterfield, there was a bias towards even looking in this direction, and honestly since it had been 30 years since I was really here (I went to Parkway West), I had no idea what to expect. What a blessing. When I came in from California for what I thought was a simple 3-week hip replacement "help-out" turned into a "Oh no, Mom should NOT be living alone anymore", I was in a panic. After 2 dozen or more interviews and experiences we jumped the river and found LSC! My mom has not been this alive and happy in years! My sense of calm and peace of mind is off the chart. Especially since I am 2,000 miles way! They check all the boxes. From personal caring staff and impeccably clean facilities, to services and actual hard part stuff. If you want to give a gift back to your mom or dad, for all they did for you along the way, this place is the way to do it!!!

My mother has been a resident in the assisted living facility for a couple years now. The staff here is amazing, specifically the nursing staff. They keep me updated on a consistent basis which is really appreciated as I live 3 hours from their facility. If you're looking for a place for your loved one, I would highly recommend you take a look at Lake St. Charles Retirement Community.

My mom moved in August 2024 and from day one the staff and everyone have been so helpful and friendly. As her cognition and health have started to decline; Samantha and the rest of the staff have gone above and beyond to not only try to keep my mom there and offer her support but to help me navigate the steps I will have to take as we go further down the road. They are so willing to help, to listen and to do what they can to make sure their residents truly live their lives to the fullest.

My husband and I moved to Lake St. Charles 5 1/2 years ago. He passed away in January of 2020. Everything is great here. You couldn't ask for a better staff. The only thing I would like to see is replacing the dreary wallpaper in our hallways. They have replaced the carpeting which was really bad also.

Great place to care for your loved one. The staff is amazing, they care for people like they are members of their own family. There is nothing they won’t do to help you care for your loved one. They are always happy, friendly and willing to communicate with you about any needs your family may have. Thank God for LSCRC.

As with most things in life, it's people that make all the difference. Staff here is pleasant, attentive and most of all, caring! The atmosphere is great, especially around the holidays. Exterior grounds are very well maintained and the interior common areas are beautifully done. There is always something to do if you choose to be social. Everything is very well run.

Lake St Charles is a great place to live, just don’t die there. They charged my mom rent for 30 days after she died since she was required to give 30 days notice before vacating her apartment. I was happy with that place but this is something I just don’t understand. It’s not like she skipped out in the middle of the night. She had no control over her move out date and left in the ambulance they called for her. If only she’d had the foresight to know the date of her death and alert the management. The hospital gave a sizable break on her bill under the circumstances, which I truly appreciate. It makes the actions of Lake St Charles that much harder to understand. They told us there was no hurry collecting her stuff, that we could take up to 30 days, which I thought was a courtesy out of respect for my mother’s life, and we were done in less than 2 weeks. I’m sure every facility like that probably does it so they’re no different, I’m just ticked because it was my mom and it feels heartless. I’m so very disappointed in them.

My dad is here and loves it. Very friendly and caring. The staff is very attentive for all matters and is truly like an extended family. The facility is clean, healthy, and creates many special activities thru out the year. From Christmas parties, [that include children and all of the family], Veteran day activities, brunches, spring parties, and a multitude of things always going on. Weekly Bingo and great transportation to doctor appointments all included. Also various doctors visit on site weekly for additional care. The desk is staffed 24/7 and is very responsive to any requests or needs. I could go on and on and it sounds like an advertisement; but it truly is an excellent facility for my dad. I know he is safe, healthy and well cared for at Lake St. Charles.

My mom moved to LSC 1 month ago. I could not be happier with her experience there. She loves all of the activities they have every day, and the staff and residents have made her feel SO welcome. I am so happy that a friend told me about LSC for my mom! It's a perfect fit!!
