My husband and I moved to Lake St. Charles 5 1/2 years ago. He passed away in January of 2020. Everything is great here. You couldn't ask for a better staff. The only thing I would like to see is replacing the dreary wallpaper in our hallways. They have replaced the carpeting which was really bad also.

Ive had the opportunity to work with the team at Lake St. Charles for more than a decade, and I cannot say enough good things about them and the facility. They offer a safe, comfortable home for seniors who no longer want the responsibility of home ownership, and in recent years, have made a number of substantial updates to the facility to transform it into an upscale environment. Like any business, staff are what make the difference, and LSC has some of the best. From administration to dining to activities, everyone is centered on the residents they serve. Highly recommend.

The entire staff is so caring and treats their residents like family. They strive to please and they do so with a smile on their face. Throughout the COVID pandemic, they planned extra activities to keep the residents smiling as they incorporated extra safety precautions. When my Dad passed this summer, they offered additional services to my Mom as she adjusted to life without my Dad. We are so pleased with the care they continue to give to my Mom.

Great place to care for your loved one. The staff is amazing, they care for people like they are members of their own family. There is nothing they wont do to help you care for your loved one. They are always happy, friendly and willing to communicate with you about any needs your family may have. Thank God for LSCRC.

As with most things in life, its people that make all the difference. Staff here is pleasant, attentive and most of all, caring! The atmosphere is great, especially around the holidays. Exterior grounds are very well maintained and the interior common areas are beautifully done. There is always something to do if you choose to be social. Everything is very well run.

Lake St Charles is a great place to live, just dont die there. They charged my mom rent for 30 days after she died since she was required to give 30 days notice before vacating her apartment. I was happy with that place but this is something I just dont understand. Its not like she skipped out in the middle of the night. She had no control over her move out date and left in the ambulance they called for her. If only shed had the foresight to know the date of her death and alert the management. The hospital gave a sizable break on her bill under the circumstances, which I truly appreciate. It makes the actions of Lake St Charles that much harder to understand. They told us there was no hurry collecting her stuff, that we could take up to 30 days, which I thought was a courtesy out of respect for my mothers life, and we were done in less than 2 weeks. Im sure every facility like that probably does it so theyre no different, Im just ticked because it was my mom and it feels heartless. Im so very disappointed in them.

We moved my 83 yr old mother into a 1br apt. on Jan. 4th 2020. She has been delighted with her new home and is thriving mentally & emotionally and her health is improving. The staff and administrators made the move easy and she was settled in very quickly. Im so sad about this terrible covid virus but Im thrilled at the measures LSC have taken to keep their residents safe. I would highly recommend this facility and I had many friends who gave them great praise over the years their loved ones lived there. Yvonne Cowden

My mom moved to LSC 1 month ago. I could not be happier with her experience there. She loves all of the activities they have every day, and the staff and residents have made her feel SO welcome. I am so happy that a friend told me about LSC for my mom! Its a perfect fit!!

My dad is here and loves it. Very friendly and caring. The staff is very attentive for all matters and is truly like an extended family. The facility is clean, healthy, and creates many special activities thru out the year. From Christmas parties, [that include children and all of the family], Veteran day activities, brunches, spring parties, and a multitude of things always going on. Weekly Bingo and great transportation to doctor appointments all included. Also various doctors visit on site weekly for additional care. The desk is staffed 24, 7 and is very responsive to any requests or needs. I could go on and on and it sounds like an advertisement; but it truly is an excellent facility for my dad. I know he is safe, healthy and well cared for at Lake St. Charles.

Homelike surroundings , nestled in a secluded setting amongst trees. The inside is beautifully decorated yet feels home like. The staff is friendly and interact with residents, guests & themselves.

My mom lived there almost 2 years before she unexpectedly went to heaven.( in an apartment ) EVERYONE was wonderful there. Made her feel at home and all were like an extended family. I didnt worry about her safety at all. She made many friends there.

More importantly, many of their staff members are long-tenured, and have strong connections with the residents and their family members.
