Meadowlands has been such a blessing for my LO to have a safe place with great care. The common area & rooms in memory care have always been clean when I visit. They are accommodating and friendly.

My Uncle was there for a little over a month. I give an A to all the staff. They treated him like he was their own special uncle. The place is clean, de orated for every season beautifully.

I've been up twice to check out The Meadowlands for memory care for my mom. This entire process is something totally new to me. I had no idea where to start. I got this information from an online service and thought I would take a look. I will have to say that I was extremely impressed at the warmth that I felt on both times I visited. The staff were very welcoming and everybody seemed to be engaged with the clients from the front desk to the kitchen. It's just a matter of taking care of my paperwork and getting mom settled in. A big thank you to Stephanie because she was not only warm but very informative. She told me when I left that I would be back. And sure enough after looking at other places, there was no place to compare. I'm looking forward to bringing my mom there. ………….This was probably 4 years ago. It went to seed after covid. Very costly and steady raising prices but you get nothin and I mean nothing for your money. I took my mom out. Don't do it. Both my reviews are honest for the time.

My ex-husband got sick 01-04-22 had been in hospital for weeks and several rehab still needed more care, I contacted Meadowlands and spoke to Melody was very warm and caring, made arrangements for 3 mos affordable for him in memory care. Very warm and caring staff, he was treated very well which I can say much better then when he came to facility, suffered from covid brain fog. I would recomend facility to anyone who has love ones wanting them to received excellent care, Thanks Melody and staff outstanding service.

If your looking for somewhere for your family member to be happy and people take care of them right. This is the place I did a tour with a Melanie she was great. She knew all the answers to my questions and informed me of things I should think about. So happy I found this place . Definitely the place we're going. No questions

My grandma lived here for about a year before she passed. The facility was beautiful and there were some hard-working and kind staff. However, overall we were disappointed. Things like Depends would disappear from my Grandma's closet so we couldn't leave much there at a time. Her brand new wheel chair disappeared and was replaced with one much lower quality. She paid extra to have her room cleaned but no one did it. It was usually dirty unless we complained. The good chef left when Covid started and she complained about the food the rest of her life. The final straw was when she passed, we received no condolences. No signed card from the staff, no "I'm so sorry for your loss" from the director. She lived there a year but as far as we know no one cared when she passed. I would not recommend this place for someone who cannot advocate for themselves or is not closely watched by family.

With so many assisted living in the area.. THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE! While visiting a friend I noticed the homelike environment immediately, and everyone is SO friendly. Tons of activities, amazing food, and all the residents look so happy (most importantly). When its time to make a placement decision for my loved one I will definitely be coming to The Meadowlands. Thank you, Meadowlands for caring as much as you do, and especially the Director she answers all my questions immediately and never makes me feel like a burden. Xoxo

Im a Hospice Nurse and I have Residents in this facility. My ultimate goal is to always review with Honesty and openness. This facility is smaller then others. If your loved one comes from a small town or community, I would suggest this facility for a more intimate setting. This matters if you are looking for a less congested feel. Clean Factor: The facility is clean and does have its fare share of remodeling needs. However, all facilities remodel to keep up with the current trends and to keep things fresh. If you look hard at any facility you will find something. However, they have a good balance. Food: The food is good but not as good as other facilities. This changes with Chefs as they come and go. You will find this at other facilities as well. The dinning area is clean and cozy. Nothing over the top. Rooms: The rooms are clean and open. Proper attention to door sizes and function for wheelchair bound residents. The rooms have laminate flooring and some with carpet. Above standard against other facilities. Activities: Covid has put a hold on many facilities and limited activities. However they have a Movie theater and Courtyards that get plenty of use. You will find family events throughout the year and community involvement with this location. Exercise groups and other stuff including BINGO !! Staff: The staff are pleasant and do like what they do. Staff turn over is about average for this facility. Most care takers are students in nursing school or just find it not a job they enjoy. So all facilities will have turn overs. They have a good mix of new and regular care takers. This goes for nursing and Leadership. Stability has been achieved for this location. Kelly is the administrator and Abby is the DON. Both talk to each other and communicate needs and objectives. This is not always the case for other facilities. Memory Care: The unit is nice and clean. These residents living in memory care tend to be very difficult to clean up after. However, they have achieved this task. Rooms are nice and set up proper. Activities are available and management cares. At any giving time you should visit all facilities to see the mix of care going on. You could have a quiet unit or a wild and crazy unit! Safety has been achieved here and attention to individual needs have been monitored. I think they could use a face lift here but the care in my eyes is worth the trade. Smell: Lets face it. Lots of facilities smell. It does depend on the level of care. This is not a skilled facility so you dont have the overwhelming smell of poop! It smells nice in common areas. Each resident always brings something to the table but it appears to be addressed. Memory care is always stinky in all facilities at times do to the large issues with bowel and bladder control. However, they do have air freshener units and good air flow. So its above many other facilities. Give them a 4 out of 5. Over all I give this place a B. I have never been to an A facility in St. Louis. No ones perfect. Staff are caring and leadership is intact. I would like to see this company spend some money to upgrade memory care. However looks only get you so far. The care is more important. 8.5 out of 10.

I recently visited the Meadowlands and was quite impressed with the warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff at the entrance greeted me with big smiles and kind words. I also visited with the Director while I was there and she was amazing! Answered all of my questions and addressed any concern I had. The residents were just coming back from one of their outings as I was leaving and they expressed how much fun they had. The employees seemed to truly care about the residents. The staff looked excited to see the residents return; asked if they had a good time and offered hugs and assistance. Thats definitely what you want to see when considering where to place your loved one. I would highly recommend The Meadowlands to anyone looking for a nice place for their family.

I love the Meadowlands and just the overall feel of this community. The staff are very engaged with the residents and family members are welcome to dine with their loved ones any time of day with their open dining. The director along with her team have created some wonderful family events so if you haven't stopped in lately, now is the time.
