Delmar has wonderful events to pass the time. In June 2023 my relative moved into Delmar Gardens North. We have been grateful for their activities, delicious meals, & caring staff. All staff from the Nurses to the Administrators- its a cheery group. It's now been 3 amazing years

I had great rehab here. The nursing and rehab team helped me get up and able to take care of myself. They helped me to motivate others. Without Delmar I would not be able to walk again. We always complain when things aren’t right so I wanted to get on here and report how well I was taken care of by Delmar Gardens staff. I even got a chance to sing for the staff and residents.

What a wonderful facility! Mom has been here for over a year. Delmar’s staff and the Pathways staff is so loving and kind. Mom is so well taken care of and I am always notified when something is wrong. I truly feel like we are part of the Delmar Gardens family. I am thankful for all their smiles and hugs.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It started good, but my mom seems like she’s getting worse. She says most of the staff treats her wrong. I hear it again it will be a lawyer involved.

I'm writing a review on behalf of my mom who was there her name is Louise. She tells me an employee named Hortense ran her into something while she was in her wheelchair because she was running(literally running) my mom to her room. She also hit her leg on the table when putting her under the table(while she was in her wheelchair). My mom did have some people who were very nice to her such as Austin, LaDonna, Chris and Donald. I'm only giving three stars because of those that were kind and caring towards her. You CAN NOT be in this job unless you truly have the patience and a love for those that can't help themselves.

My father came to Delmar Gardens North b/c he was terminally ill and would be placed on hospice. From the time I took the tour of this facility until his passing on 7/19 the staff took such good care of my father. He was nothing short of comfortable, clean, and cared for by both the staff at Delmar Gardens and Pathways hospice. My father was at peace as if he was sleeping when I arrived to say my final goodbyes. I will always be appreciative of Delmar Gardens and Pathways for their kindness towards me and my family in our time of need. Thank you so much again.

Have to wait on person to cone and help you. They take their own time to get to you. If a family member would like to set with their love one while. they eat ,they can't.

I am grateful for Delmar Gardens North. Every day each staff member, resident and guest is treated as if each is significant, so Thank you Team Delmar! Each person in the building is on the Team.

The physical therapy services and in-house Dr. here ARE very good but the same can’t be said for the response of the nursing staff. I asked several nurses/staff repeatedly for test results and was told they’d get back to me. They NEVER did!! UPON ADMISSION they claimed to offer barber and podiatry services. I asked repeatedly for them to shave my dad and in the three weeks he was there he never had a shave. Also never had a shower! They did give him a soak/bath twice. Then, to top the whole miserable experience off, my dad buzzed the nurse one night to take him to the bathroom, she never came so he tried to take himself and fell and broke his hip. He was sent home with it and we weren’t informed. He passed 5 days later. The experience here at Delmar Gardens North was nothing short of frustrating! PLEASE do not send your family member here!!

I was looking for placement for my mother, however the admission coordinator Angie wasn’t very welcoming or attentive. She never returned my phone calls. And when I did call back each time she didn’t even remember who I was. This was after faxed paper work, and scheduling a tour. Each time she never knew who was or even tried to figure out who I was. I realize the medical field is strained especially being a medical professional myself but Geesh very basic to at least know who you are talking too. I will continue looking for a place for my mother.

My mother in law was there for about 6 months . There were issues that got me frustrated especially showers but I have to say many nice people . Thanks to Evette, Kamika , Jeannie and others that who cared for her and always nice to my husband and I .

My Mom was in here for rehabilitation. There weren't any issues with her hygiene, care or any of that. My problem was she fell, they didn't notify me. We got past that. My issue is lack of transportation and communication. My Mom missed dialysis treatment and noone thought to call me til 3:05pm when her chair time is 11:30am. They were aware of that issue at 12, yet several hours passed by before I was to about it. Today makes the 3rd time that there was an issue with her getting transportation to dialysis despite me having a meeting with Cathy and Crystal yesterday. Its not like I don't have a car to come take her IF they'd let me know. So I brought her back home. Other than that, they're an OK facility.

My mother-in-law was there for rehab . A nice clean facility . Everyone was very nice and food always looked good . Therapy helped her to be able to walk better and come home . Many activities and treats to eat for residents. Seemed short staffed with call lights and showers was only downfall but I guess every place is short handed it seems.

My son has been at DGN for two years and he is one of the youngest stroke residents they have. The staff put me at ease from day one, he was on hospice and he has recovered the staff has made him feel like he's part of their family. They allow him to assist with some of their task making him feel useful. I was very worried about the quality of care he may receive they have treated him well. The staff communicates with me no matter how big or small. Considering this may be his permanent home I am at ease knowing this is where he will be. My son enjoys the bond he has established with the staff, I enjoy watching the interaction between him and the staff, he calls each of them by name, they also provide him with treats from time to time. No place is perfect and there is staff turn over like any other work place, I can honestly say DGN gives their best. They are truly my essential workers HEROES,

Mom has been there 6 months so far. My brothers and sister are there about two to three times a week. The nurses are always polite and like to tell us how she is doing and discuss any concerns. She is diabetic and needs extra care. They have done a great job managing her blood sugar. They do a lot of field trips which is great because mom was always very active and could never sit around. We have pictures of her dancing at one of their many events. We waited as long as possible to put her in a home because of the horror stories you hear about other homes. I now wish that we would have placed her there earlier.

I HAVE HAD FAMILY THERE AND THEY BE RETURNING STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE BUILDING IS CLEAN AND WELL KEEP. MY FAMILY THE RESIDENT HAS NO COMPLAINTS. ANY CONCERNS I HAD WHICH WERE MINOR WERE CORRECTED ASAP.

I am a full time caregiver for my mom and I take her here for respite care when I'm out of town or just need a break. They are wonderful with her, accommodating, and the nurses are kind and attentive. My mother actually likes coming there because there is a lot of activity going on there...more than home so it works out for everyone.
