I was visiting my grandmother I had an interaction with the nicest housekeeper. She had the biggest smile on her face when I walked by and made me feel very welcomed. I belive her name tag said Amber but she was very welcoming! She’s a keeper

Absolutely amazing! My mom moved into the 1BR Independent Living apartment, and so far her (and mine!) experience has been wonderful. Everyone from the staff to the residents have been welcoming, and assisting with everything she needed. I highly recommend Westbury!!

Visited a friend who moved there. I loved everything about it! The apartments are decent sized and there's a delicious variety of food at the onsite restaurants. They have a library, exercise room, small thrift store, a movie theater, a puzzle nook, small beauty salon, a convenience store, and plenty of sitting areas. The staff are very friendly and the residents all seem happy! One wing had a very cozy homey feel while the other one is more upscale and bougie. Either way you'll be we cared for.

Our mother has been at The Westbury, in Assisted Living, for a little over two years now. We have nothing but praise and gratitude for the team on the Assisted living side. Sihreta, Wellness Director, is incredible. Her attention to the smallest of details is second to none. She truly makes the resident, and their family feel heard and understood She knows everyone by first name, their family members, grandkids, favorite food, favorite activity, even notices when a resident has a change in daily routine, you name it! There has not been a request or concern that we have brought to her attention that has not been regarded with promptness, care and respect. Everyone from Admin, to care partners, front desk, to the culinary team are just absolutely wonderful. We had some concerns over our mom's dietary needs. The culinary team and servers have gone above and beyond helping our mom make the best choices for her. The care team does a wonderful job of actively communicating concerns and/or making suggestions on how to support your loved one. We are so thankful to everyone at the Westbury for their kindness, compassion and professionalism.

My mother recently moved to an independent living apartment at The Westbury in Columbia, MO. From the very first visit through move-in and getting her settled, it has exceeded our expectations. The staff genuinely care about the residents and love what they do. The amenities are great, including the food, social activities, maintenance, grounds and services. The residents are very welcoming and positive about their experiences living there. We couldn’t be more pleased. It is opening up a new chapter for my mom, and providing supports that are really valuable at this time of her life. Thank you to everyone at Westbury.

Since Sihreta Jones stepped in as Director of Wellness at The Westbury we’ve seen such a big difference. The care our parents are getting in the assisted living facility has really improved ” it feels like everything runs more smoothly and thoughtfully now. Sihreta is super hands-on, pays attention to the little things, and really seems to care. She’s thorough, observant, and always on top of what’s going on. You can tell she sets a high standard and genuinely wants the best for the residents. It’s such a relief knowing she’s there and looking out for our parents. We’re so thankful for the impact she’s made.

Sihreta Jones is the Director of Nursing for Westbury Senior Living facility in Columbia, MO. When a loved one moves to a facility, the family wants to know that they will be well cared for in a safe environment. Sihreta does her best to provide a staff trained to care for residents as if they are family. She practices and promotes transparency. Family/Residents are encouraged to report concerns/problems through an open door policy. Concerns are addressed quickly and effectively in a professional manner. We are grateful for her compassion, empathy, and expertise.

My mother has been a resident of Westbury Senior Living’s Assisted Living unit for more than two and half years. She first came to the facility when early dementia made it unsafe for her to continue living independently. During her time at Westbury, she has received excellent care, and she expresses positive feelings about the facility, staff, activities, and meals. As her dementia has progressed, the wellness and support staff has been proactive in identifying her changing needs and reaching out to our family. We have worked closely and regularly with Sihreta Jones (Westbury’s Director of Wellness) and value her honest and thoughtful guidance on how best to help my mother be happy and healthy. We also appreciate how Amy Byergo (Westbury’s Regional Executive Director) has been able to sort out and resolve long term care insurance paperwork filing issues and make that process seamless for the family.

We chose The Westbury assisted living facilities for mom and dad because of the positive and helpful attitudes of the employees during our tours, which agreed with what we had heard about the staff elsewhere. Our experience after 7 months has completely agreed with our preliminary assessment. Westbury has caring and helpful staff. There are so many great ones, but a good deal of the credit goes to Sihreta Jones, the Director of Wellness. She has gone well out of her way to suggest creative ways of delivering quality care for my mother, communicating with her staff on best procedures and always being available to discuss any concerns or questions I may have. Sihreta, and the staff she's hired, trained and supervised, simply do a great job.

My sister has been living at the Westbury Assisted Living Facility for the past year and a half. She has Alzheimer's Disease. In the past there have been issues, but with the new Administrative staff of Amy Byergo and Sihreta Jones, the care is much improved both for my sister and the support they give us as a family. I am struggling with whether to move my sister from Assisted Living to Memory Care. Sihreta has been a God send. She is always ready to listen, help and advise. She is the best and I am so grateful Sihreta is at Westbury!

Westbury was the best option for my family. I looked at all of the independent living communities in Columbia and Jefferson City, and it had the features that we wanted in addition to the kind of pay structure that we wanted. I visited Westbury on its second day of being open. With it being so new, I think it has great potential for adding additional features over time which will eventually give it everything that some of the older and larger facilities have. Dining and housekeeping had some rocky months, but they have figured it out and everything has been consistently good for the last year. I am very hopeful that they will continue to be a great place for my aging parent to live out the remainder of his days. He's made some good friends and has created his own support system within the community, which has allowed him more freedom from me. That's good for both of us. I'm rating it 4 stars mostly for personal reasons. It's 35 minutes from my house which is less than optimal, but it was overwhelmingly the best choice for us. I don't regret the decision in any way, even if I wish it was closer to me. Where it stood out above a community closer to me was through the pay structure. Also, the parent company seemed to handle covid better than some of the other locations. I don't want my family member to feel like a prisoner in his own home if something like that happens again.

8/20/2023 review of The Westbury. The place is beautiful. The staff are professional and nice. Over 1.5 years on three separate occasions, I toured the assisted living and memory cottage. My Dad and I ate a meal at the assisted living dinning room. It was delicious and we talked to residences who said they liked living there. The memory cottage is small (max residency is ~20), which I think is a plus for people with dementia. It has "life stations" which are areas with items that might remind someone of a job or task they did before. For instance there is a tool station with screws and tools, but it done in a way that is safe. There are also stations to put on jewelry, hats, and scarfs; arrange flowers; library; have tea; work with life like toy cat and dog, etc. I wish my Dad was living in the Westbury, unfortunately I am not my Dad's guardian and the person who is, keeps him far from Columbia and his community. In preparation for my Dad's guardianship case, the director Mattie Hamilton went beyond her normal duties to provide a letter explaining everything the Westbury can provide in the Memory Cottage.

Before we moved here, I looked at 4 different places for me & my husband to live & we picked Westbury. I have not been disappointed. The employees have been very helpful. There are lots of acivities and friendly people. This has been a very good experience.

So far so good! My parents, along with myself, have visited twice and this is where they plan to go. Everyone has been very nice. Important to note, they serve 3 meals a day plus the 24-hour snack bar. Not all retirement places serve 3 meals.
