My 99-year old mom has thrived in the memory care part of EagleCrest for 8 years. The staff are all wonderfully caring, which is what makes EagleCrest a great place for people like my mom who can't remember new information, and therefore can get frustrated--and can be frustrating for staff to deal with. I know the staff gets special training for how to deal with memory impairment, but I also think the management must be wise about hiring and staff retention. Incredibly, my mother is still cared for by the same caring staff that were there when we moved her in 8 years ago. For instance, they know how to coax my mother out of bed for breakfast or for an exercise class. They also know that it's not the end of the world if my mother insists that she wants to stay in bed during a meal. They just find a snack for her later. Such flexibility is the sign of a well-run place!

I was the closest relative for my 90 year old cousin, a female, who had been successfully living independently since the age of 19. She was a successful business woman, who worked and succeeded at Ford Motors for 40 + years. This was a big transition for her, but because of the accommodations and caring staff, it was a very successful transition. Staff was friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Communication between staff and myself was excellent. Her studio apartment gave her privacy when she needed it, but at the same time she was surrounded by staff members, who not only checked on her physical needs, but also provided companionship and whenever possible a variety of activities.The staff was compassionate and respectable.The staff had great advice which came from experience and background. The Roseville location was another plus.

My Mother and Father have both been living at EagleCrest for a few years now. Currently my Father lives in the EagleCrest Commons, and my Mother lives at the EagleCrest Arbor. I cannot thank the staff at EagleCrest enough for all the care and support that they have given to my parents. In addition, the support they have given to me and my family as we have gone through this transition with our parents has been outstanding, and greatly appreciated. The entire staff is professional, friendly, caring and exceptional! I highly recommend EagleCrest.

EagleCrest has been an absolutely wonderful and caring new home for our 91 year old mother. Like so many other families have also experienced, our mother had been able to live independently until this past July when she sustained a significant falling injury in her townhome. From that moment I immediately knew that after her surgery and subsequent extensive rehabilitation was completed that I would definitely need to move her into an assisted living facility. I had driven past EagleCrest hundreds of times, but my first visit was literally the day after my mom's fall. From that initial tour, I have found the staff to be incredibly competent, and are uniquely gifted to lovingly care for everyone who lives there. Based on their residents unique needs, EagleCrest offers multiple levels of care, and our mothers private apartment is located within their 'Hearth' which provides the highest level of both personal, and nursing care. It is a perfectly safe living environment for her that also features a fully staffed, 24/7 nursing station within this dedicated area on the 2nd floor. The staff provides numerous safe group activities throughout the week, and the total experience for our family has simply been incredible. Since our mother didn't move into her new apartment at EagleCrest until September, our entire experience has been during these extraordinary COVID days, but the staff has simply done an amazing job of navigating through this pandemic. Our experience has been so positive that I really wish I could provide a higher rating, as (5) stars doesn't appear to be adequate to summarize the very high level of competent loving care our mother has received.

My mother has been part of the EagleCrest community since 2013 after moving here from Florida. She lived in the Terrance for several years before having to make the move to the Commons after a fall. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff (all levels) at the Commons - they have been accessible, caring, cheerful, helpful and incredibly patient with the various phases my mother has gone through during her stay there. I know it has been frustrating at times. They have also helped me navigate the 'next step' care decisions at every turn. Mom is now in the "Hearth" (enhanced assisted living with a 24/7 nurse onsite) and the staff there has been amazing in helping her to adjust to her 'new' living circumstances; she moved there in March 2020, the day the building shutdown after being in transitional care for 6 weeks. Mom's studio apartment is bright & sunny, and just the right size for her needs. The food service folks are amazing, and I can personally attest to how good the meals are and their variety. Even though I wasn't able to visit with mom in her apartment during the shutdown, I had peace of mind that my mother was being well taken care of. Kudos to the entire staff for keeping ALL of the residents COVID-free since last March - no small feat, for sure. After much research, I helped my Mom move into EagleCrest in late May. It has been absolutely transformative for her. My Mom has participated in exercise class, movies, afternoon socials, bingo, reading her paper on the deck, and so much more. She is eating regularly with EagleCrest's dinner option. The staff and residents are wonderful. It's like our new family!

Mom moved to EagleCrest's Independent Living (IL) "Terrace" more than 10 years ago. She is now 87! At the time mom was 76, active and in great health. People often guessed she was in her 60s. She has aged gracefully in this caring community that adapts to her changing needs. At first her friends wondered "Why would someone so young want to move into a place full of "old people?" Any doubts quickly vanished. Mom's decision was exceptionally good! She was still in her prime getting to know the people of EagleCrest those who would become her new BFFs, the staff, and those in Assisted Living and Memory Care where she volunteered by visiting residents and supporting activities. She found her place and purpose along with the comfort and reassurance that if she began to have trouble with memory or ADLs, she would know this place as "home." Mom never looked back. Now, she often queries, "Why do people wait so long?" Her advice: "Choose while you are young and know what you want! But think long term and be honest with yourself. You will need help one day!" The opportunities at EagleCrest have been ample and gratifying, from volunteering at the onsite children's daycare program supported in partnership with the University of Northwestern, to being a "Mock Patient" for University of Northwestern nursing students, to delivering newspapers to other less mobile resident. Mom was part of the MN Orchestra lover's group which monthly rode a van together to the "Afternoon Tea" series. There are many choices for exercise too. Mom joins the walking club during reasonable weather to make a loop of NW University campus. On Friday afternoons she would join the "wine therapy" ladies who all brought stories of their week's adventures, laughing away their worries. Pre-COVID the activities were broad and interesting, and while they are more-limited now, she still sees her friends in the halls, all wearing masks and keeping their distance. Each making a game of trying to guess who the other is behind their masked face! The community room has been ideal for family gatherings offering a pool table for the grand children and ample room for just hanging out. Mom hosted a luncheon for a group of 15 friends. We arranged for food from EagleCrest's culinary and supplemented with some favorite treats from Byerly's. The support team at EagleCrest is exceptionally good. Their communication model is right-on using email distribution lists to families and caregivers, and individual calls as appropriate. Danielle (Dani), the fun-loving campus director is nothing short of amazing. She keeps the residents safe and well cared for and somehow, through COVID has mitigated the effects the fragile state of isolation has on the elderly. Every resident and their families have their own ideas of "the right thing to do." While those opinions vary from one end of the spectrum to the other, she has kept everyone safe and as happy as anyone could be during these times. Most recently she successfully lobbied to include vaccinations for the Independent Living residents because it made sense to keep the entire community safe. No easy feat in these times. This saved families the separate responsibility of finding, scheduling, and receiving the Vaccine, all the while in keeping in the MDH program. In 2.5 hours, 119 residents were vaccinated. It was a good morning. Her only flaw seems to be that she is a Packers fan. But she is so cute in her fan-gear it is easy to forgive! Beyond Dani, everyone from the Resident Pastor to the maintenance crew (lead by a woman!) and those in the office are accessible and supportive. Mom loves her bi-weekly cleaning service and has become BFFs with each of the lovely ladies who has been in that role over the years. I am grateful beyond words for mom's community. If I could give EagleCrest 100 stars I would. It has been a safe, joy-filled home for years. I can't imagine mom being happier anywhere else.

If you ask my wife, Helene, how she liked it at EagleCrest Commons she would say, "I just love it here! The people are so friendly, helpful and kind." Since my wife is by nature an up-beat and positive person, it gives my son and daughter great comfort to see her surrounded by a friendly and helpful staff. Having the essential caregiver program gives me the opportunity to spend more time each day with my wife. Our family and the staff recognize how cruel extended isolation can become. Having contact with our loved ones is a God send. We cannot overstate our observation of how the entire support staff have developed such a caring and supportive climate at the Commons. The minute I walked in the door I am greeted warmly at the front desk. A huge added responsibility has been unloaded on the leadership and staff because of Covid-19. They are navigating through these tough times with courage and strength. My son Andy has dealt with much of the financing, medical and care for his mom. He has a good cooperative relationship. He helped find the Commons after Helene's fall and we are grateful to have her nearby and well cared for. We would be the first to recommend this wonderful place. Howard Hass

I can't say enough good things about EagleCrest. My mother has been in independent living, assisted living, and now memory care there. Moving her to a "nursing home" seemed like the worst choice we could make, but Eagle Crest is nothing like what I imagined. Not only is it a beautiful setting with lovely accomodations, the kind and compassionate care she's received made all three transitions as painless as possible. I was surprised how quickly everyone from the office and nursing staff to the food service and maintenance people got to know my mom and the whole family, as well. The staff is professional yet warm. I feel like they genuinely care about the residents. Of course we would've preferred to have my mom at home, but this is the next best thing. In fact, I think the structure, activities, and reliability of the staff has been better for her in some ways. I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.

Staff obviously enjoy working here and are kind and responsive. People living here are active and interesting people, and activities including socially distanced exercise, movies, and dining options are now available. Long time residents love it, and we can see why.

First, my 91 year old mother loves this place. We have been separated because of Covid 19, but I talk to her frequently each week, and each conversation usually includes her telling me how lucky she is to be living at Eagle Crest. Over and over she tells me about how she came to get her unit when she and my brother visited a little over a year ago. She tells me to emphasize how lucky she was. She likes her unit and the food. She misses communal dining and, like all of us, awaits the time it will return. She loves the staff, and I mean virtually everyone. That includes administrators, people who deliver the food, and the guy who regularly helps her with the channel changer for the TV after she miss programs it or hits the wrong button. Second, my siblings and I like it too. Especially during the pandemic, there has been frequent, clear communication. We, too, have found a friendly staff and good listeners when we have had a concern. We all want to be independent as long as we can, but if a time comes when I can no longer be on my own, Eagle Crest would be fine with me.

My mother has been at EagleCrest Assisted Living in Roseville for just over one year. It was a hard but necessary transition to make for her, leaving her independent living situation, but it was time. She needed more people around her and she needed to feel safe and secure. The Staff and care at EagleCrest have been AMAZING!! My mother is in such great hands and is very happy at EagleCrest. New friends and great food! I feel extremely connected to the Staff as well - from Dani to Brianna and Grant, to Nick (leading the great food comment!!) and to so many others. I feel connected when I'm on site at EagleCrest and even when I'm not, via all the great communications and emails. THANK YOU EagleCrest!! It has been challenging for everyone these past several months due to COVID-19 challenges but you have done a simply awesome job keeping everyone safe, healthy and happy.

My sweet and loving 83 yr old mom had a fall down some stairs just over one year ago. My sister, Dad and I determined it would be best for her if she found an assisted living place, as she also started showing some minor indications of Alzheimers. Our mother has lived at Eagles Crest Commons for 1 year. The first five months were filled with activities, social interaction and building friendships with residents and staff alike. When Co-vid hit in March everyone's life turned upside down and we were concerned about the impact it would have on mom. The staff at the Commons worked hard to find ways to continue to deliver opportunities for socialization and exercise in a safe manner during a very difficult time. We are extremely pleased with the precautions that have been taken during Covid and these have proven to be effective as there have been no positive Covid cases among the residents of the Commons. My spouse has been a resident in Memory Care for 18 months. Unfortunately he is unable to communicate and often unable to comprehend what is being said to him. It takes a staff who knows him well in order to anticipate his needs. Staff has been able to do this on most occasions. The staff brings friendship and comfort to him calling him by name often just in passing. He appears accepting of his home away form home which fills our family's hearts with gratitude. This is our third care facility and we thank EagleCrest and all staff for making it one of the best memory care communities.

When we were looking for an assisted living for my mother six years ago, many friends suggested Presbyterian Homes, which they considered the best organization offering long-term care in the Twin Cities. Wanting to be thorough, we looked at EagleCrest as well as several other options in the Roseville area. I am so pleased we chose EagleCrest! From the day we toured the facility, I knew it was the best place for my mom. It FELT like home. Comfortable, friendly, and caring. We liked the relatively small size of EagleCrest, a manageable amount of space for our mom, who has dementia, to navigate. We found the common areas and rooms to be light and airy. The residents we chatted with told us "It is a great place! And they feed us really well!" Now, six years later, we look back on our mom's experience and we see that, above all, the quality of the staff has been the most important aspect of EagleCrest. It's all about the people! Every person we have interacted with has been sincere, helpful, extremely caring and very easy to work with. You can tell they really CARE about the residents. Our mom has changed a lot these past 6 years and, every step of the way, EagleCrest has been a partner for our family. Especially now, in these difficult times of COVID-19, we see the staff go above and beyond to ensure our mom is safe and well-cared for. We are so grateful and cannot say enough good things about EagleCrest and the people who work there.
