I’ve been renting a two bedroom, two bath apartment at the Legends since 2015. Overall it’s been a good place to live. However my main complaints are increasing rent, uncomfortable bathtub not made for seniors, too many large dogs, too many changes in management-no consistency in rules, carpet in hallways needs to be cleaned/replaced-just vacuuming is not doing it anymore. No place designated for smokers outside the building so they smoke in the parking lot at all times of day or night-loud voices. Our parking lot seems to be a shortcut for drivers where they speed through. No place for packages to be delivered after hours. Tenants are generally friendly, nice and our tenants association sponsors many activities and potlucks.

Have been living here for over 4 years This has been an awesome experience. The staff here, especially Liz the manager. She has gone above and beyond her duties to see that we residents have all current needs. As in this time of dire issues she does more then anyone else would do to keep us informed and educated as things change. This facility is more like a community, they care about everyone here. Shadow (my support dog) and I are so blessed to find this home. I would recommend this faculty for anyone over 55.

The community here is really great! The office manager Liz is so awesome! Even though she is short handed, she is able to answer all your questions and concerns. She handles everything around here from the smallest issue to the biggest. She is by far the best management we have had here in the last 4 years that I have been here.

I have lived here at the legends since March 2021 and for the most part I like it here but (you knew that was coming) . I have called about my air conditioning unit more than 3 times and they’ve come out to fix it and have said it’s leaking somewhere but they don’t know where. When calling to report it , the manager is not following up with me to let me know what is happening. My maintenance ticket have been closed out with no call back an no one seem to know who has closed them. I realize that we are in the middle of a heatwave and staff is short but I also know communication is important. The old saying goes you get more with sugar than salt. One negative experience can travel farther than a positive experience . People remember the negative more than a positive. Communication is the key here, let your residents know what going on instead of know call backs. I’m waiting!!!

My wife and I began looking for an apartment to downsize into from our home and The Legends proximity to our neighborhood drew us in. We've looked at other "senior living" facilities and so far none have fit our desire for a personable and involved staff along with a vibrant, diverse population When we toured The Legends we were overwhelmed by the hospitality, knowledge and service provided by Elizabeth Lang, the new property manager. She took time to show us multiple units, all of the amenities and completely answered our questions. She worked directly with us over the next few days to gather all necessary documents and information but unfortunately we didn't qualify under the Section 42 income caps. We will soon meet income limits due to pending retirement and we fully intend to be on Elizabeth's list for upcoming residence.

I been living here for almost 7 years, and us residents have had three different managers during this time. The manager really sets the culture and climate at a property that greatly affects the residents lives. For the past three years, this property has had a wonderful management team; with both women providing an atmosphere of kindness, consideration and validation to all residents. Unfortunately, in the near future, they both will be moving to another property to manage. Most residents here are heart sick of losing them; and hope our new management team will retain the positive and respectful culture they have wonderfully created and maintained.

I have lived at legends for 6 years and Tim is an exelant maintance man who helps everyone kindly! Perla leasing person is so gracious and kind to all every day she has a smile, she is a keeper! Kristen the manager is very helpfull and kind to everyone even when other residents are rude she manage to keep a smile for everyone!

After the death of my wife I had to find a smaller place to live. That's when I discovered The Legends At Silver Lake Village. The building is beautiful and well maintained, but the beauty of this facility is the wonderful staff that have helped me at every turn in the road. I would like to mention Kristin the building community manager for her kind help and understanding. Also a shout out to Pearla,her assistant, for her help as well. They have made a difficult time for me easier to cope with. Great Job ladies.

The covid has hit all of us hard! it's been a rough year for everybody! It took me and I'm sure several others awhile to recover and bounce back from the damage that it caused financially physically and mentally! I just wanted to give a shout out to both Kristen and Perla they are the managers in the office at The Legends apartment building they have been helpful understanding supportive and extremely kind through these turbulent times! thanks Kristen and Perla your the best!

I’m moving in soon and I can’t wait. The apartments are homey and comfortable. And enough space for what I need. The Community Manager Kristen and the Leasing Consultant Perla have been so helpful. They’re patient with my questions and willing to show me around the building-multiple times.

My husband and I recently moved into the Legends at Silver Lake and couldn't be happier. The management staff has been fantastic. Any minor thing is taken care of immediately. The residents we have met so far have been very friendly.

This place has been very good to me for the past 5 1/2 years. I enjoy the amenities, etc. I LOVE my apartment and all the local convenient businesses within walking distance. I love the current management team, led by Kristen. She’s gone the extra mile for me. Thankful for her. She’s doing a great job not taking any guff from troublesome residents, yet handling it kindly. Which leads me to... My one frustration of living here is many of the residents themselves. Not all of course. But the few make it difficult for the many. Many thinking the 55+ monicker means 85+ in attitude and lifestyle. I had the hopeful expectation when I moved in to spend the next years of my retirement with like minded and similarly aged residents. I’ve seen very few people move into the building anywhere near my age. Occasionally some have applied that are between 55-60. But the majority of the residents are much older. Maybe a change in advertising emphasizing the 55+ ideology. Just a thought... And Bob is an amazing Maintanence man! Kind, social, consistent and thorough.

I'm only giving this place a five star because of Kristen Jackson. I want to write about Kristen (only) She is a very sweet person. She listens each time I needed to speak to her and got every thing done I had requested. She was always gentle and attentive to each one of my needs. She always had a very positive and upbeat attitude which is awesome. She seems to care about the residence at the Legends which is also great. I've found that she keeps her promises and doesn't go back on her word. She has a way of making sure you are comfortable and all is well with you if she can. Kristen truly is an asset to the Legends and her presence brings an upgrade to it. Thank you Kristen for all that you do.

My mom lived at the Legends at Silver Lake Village for four wonderful years. Her apartment was beautiful and she thought it was the nicest home she had in her life. It was truly a community who looked after and cared about each other. The great room with full kitchen was magnificent. Kristen from the staff did a terrific job when we interacted with her and she went the extra mile for us. Thank you to Legends at Silver Lake Village...I'm going to personally miss seeing the residents and their dogs when I would visit my mom.
