When I first heard about Marcella Manor (from friends), I visited the website and was very impressed by what I read there. I felt like I could feel the owner's (Shannon) love for the elderly as I read the entire website. After reading/hearing other's comments, I quickly decided this was the kind of place that I wanted to be when I get to that period of my life. Although we live in Arizona, I was born and raised within 25 miles of Marcella Manor and I'm quite familiar with Rochester. During the spring of 2021 we had the opportunity to tour the facility! We had recently got our new puppy, so we took him along during our visit. Some of the residents came out on the front porch to meet the puppy and it was fun to see their response to him (who doesn't like a puppy!) As we toured the facility, I also got a good feeling from the rest of the staff as well; it felt like they really cared about their residents... Needless to say, seeing the operation helped me to verify that what I saw on the website was real!!! I even picked out my room (upper floor - East side) and I hope it's available when I eventually need it. 🙂

I am a local pastor and have been able to visit the residents at Marcella Manor. This home is exactly where I'd want a loved one to live if needed. It is always clean, warm and welcoming. The staff are helpful and a joy to work with. The residents are well cared for and always have an activity they can be engaged in. I am so thoroughly impressed with this HOME. Very grateful to be able to visit with the folks, share music, Scripture, laughter and simple fellowship. What a TOP NOTCH place!

I love Marcella Manor! My hubby and I played Santa and Mrs Claus there. There is so much love there. I love the singing and dancing and the food prepared was awesome. Jason ad Shannon really care about their staff and residents. Can't wait to go again!

Marcella Manor was one of the best places to work, and I honestly miss working there. Shannon and Jason are the most caring and down to earth people who care about their clients! They care about their staff and make sure the clients get top notch care! You will be treated like family. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for a loved one!

My sister, Shannon and her partner, Jason have put everything they have into Marcella Manor. Without knowing them you might see this establishment as just a business, but to them it is an extension of our family. Long before becoming Registered Nurses my sisters, Shannon and Amanda worked at assisted living homes. During their years caring for patients with dementia and Alzheimer's our beloved Grandma Sally (Marcella) was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Shannon's dream of running a senior living home stems deep from within her enormous heart. We were fortunate to know all our grandparents and most of our great grandparents and Shannon shared a special bond with each one of them. She opened Marcella Manor to provide a comfortable home, proper medical attention but most importantly, the love, respect, and dignity our elders deserve as they transition to the great beyond. Grandma Sally would be proud!

I have worked at Marcella Manor for 2 years as supplemental. I have loved it each time I go its doesnt fewl like a job its me taking care of my family members. All of our staff are bubbly & very open and honest with clients and family members when it is needed! Cant say wnough of how great of a little home it is!

Marcella Manor was Wonderful place for my mother-in-law. She loved this home and all her friends there. Shannon and the staff we're wonderful caretaker, served great meals and had lots of activities for her to do. Thanks for taking such good care of her. We miss you all.
