I had my heart set on my father being in memory care, here. I was working with Robin who is wonderful and gave my Uncle and me a virtual tour in mid July. I disclosed pertinent heaelth issues in case it would be a problem with admission during the tour. My father is private pay. I was then referred to Desiree, the nurse that assesses incoming residents to make sure they are a fit. She told me she would come assess my dad during his hospital stay. After Desiree received the referral from the hospital, she did not even do what she said she'd do by visiting him for her own assessment she just called me and said no. I asked why and she told me he was being declined for reasons I disclosed the entire 6 weeks of this process (application, hospital, assessment). To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I feel like my family was led on and would not recommend this to anyone that has a resident with complex health issues upon entrance.

We really liked RiverVillage community. They gave a nice presentation regarding what they would provide for our loved one. The staff was very friendly. We ended up choosing another facility based on our care needs had changed.

It is a nice community that we chose because Mom had previously attended a day program. Mom has been here a little over a month and is still acclimating to her new surroundings. I wish there more activities on the weekends, it seems there is not enough staff on hand during the weekends. The staff is friendly and caring, although, they need to encourage my mom to participate more and remind her to put in her hearing aids, and at the same time let her feel independent. Some of the other residents are more high maintenance so the staff does not seem to notice the quieter residents such as my Mom. Mom likes the food, there seems to be a healthy variety of food to choose from. There definitely be more communication between the staff and family members. I feel good that she is in a safe and comfortable community.

The experience and tour was very nice for me. I got to see the community and saw they offer extra amenities to the residents. It is a good suitable community but not what we wanted.

My tour of the RiverVillage East went well, but they did not have an opening for a one bedroom apartment. They only had studios at the time. The place was nice, and the people were all very friendly, but we ended up going with another community.

We were treated very well at River Village. We had a very good tour, and we saw some of the actual exercise classes going on. They had movement classes like tai chi and yoga. They also had walking areas for exercise, a library facility, a gathering room location, and had a prayer center where people can gather and pray. It was very nice. It’s probably very new -- probably built within the last ten years. The access was convenient, and the layout was very comfortable. The main floor was where all the activities and the dining room and everything were. So I’d say the facilities there were very nice, clean, and proper.
