We just moved my Dad in and he seems to be acclimating really well. Aiden Halleen was a big help. Aiden walked us through the process and was amazing helping coordinate my Dads release from the TCU. Aiden was super conscientious to return every phone call or email immediately. We checked out a lot of facilities. I thought Wealshire was the most realistic on the level of care my Dad needed. Our caregiver for my Dad said of all the places she visits - she believes Wealshire is the nicest care facility. Move in day was really easy. We met with his nurse (Katie) and she was super. The afternoon of move in day Aiden checked in again before the left for the Medina office which was a nice touch. So far so good..

Wealshire has been a godsend to us. After having her at a number of neglectful facilities we found this fabulous, caring place. The leaders are stellar, the caregivers are beyond kind and compassionate. Every memory care unit should learn from Wealshire. We can't thank you all enough for providing a safe, loving home for our mom during her last year of life. We are so grateful!

Under staffed. Wealshire recently stopped letting visitors help their own parents in common area at meal times, but will let visitors run residents games for over 20 minutes. Spaghetti and long noodles can not be served to some residents. Uncut sweet rolls for residents missing teeth, what is the kitchen thinking?

I have worked at the Wealshire of Bloomington since July 2014. Pryor to my employment with the Wealshire, I worked in many assisted living communities and nursing homes. None of them compare to the Wealshire. The care that I see the residents receive is top notch compared to the other places that I have worked. The staff treat the residents with respect and dignity. Unlike other senior communities that I have worked at, I feel appreciated for my work. With the experience I have had in all types of senior communities, the quality of care at the Wealshire is what I would want for my grandparents or parents if they would ever need care. I could't say that and mean it for any other senior community that I have ever worked for in the last 20 years.

Staff are very pleasant and friendly. Address residents by name and are affectionate (professionally). I feel my Mom is doing ok there. As noted in the letter this past week, areas are short staffed.

I'm a frequent visitor at your Home, as my Godfather has been your Guest since February, and I could not be more impressed with your hospitality. Your staff, including the CNA's, Nurses, food service, and Life Enrichment people are always so welcoming, but more importantly are treating Joe with Kindness and Respect. About a year and two months of working at the Wealshire of Bloomington, I've had my ups and downs but towards the end of my time, things just got too out of hand interms of reporting lazy workers, cross contamination of the food from Vern, nothing gets done asap when reporting a major issue that effects myself, my coworkers, or the residents. Which I have proof of cuz it's good to have in the long run. I was terminated for something that Wealshire did not have proof of so shame on that. I can't and will not do more/extra work when they are individuals who slack off and show no care for their surroundings cuz that's just not right. I shouldn't have to micromanage people since I'm not the manager but I know a problem when I see one.... but can't go to anyone with that problem cuz it won't get resolved....

We, my sister and l are very disappointed that they moved our brother Dale McCurdy upstairs. He is very social person and he told us that he misses that. No one to talk to. Also no activity's going on, singing art etc. We talked to Elizabeth about this, a couple weeks ago. Nothing has changed

The residents were enjoying a lovely sing-along while we visited. I only wish we, visitors, could be unmasked to share our smiles with all of them. Waving is nice, but nothing like a smile to brighten spirits.

I have been with the company since 2014 and have had the opportunity to meet so many passionate caregivers, extremely hard workers, loving families, and supportive managers from multiple departments. The dedication Wealshire staff have to our residents at both our Bloomington and Medina locations is unmatched, and I am proud to be a part of it.

I wish all people could be cared for in this way. They have a great approach to caring for people with Dementia. And as for as not hiring people of color that's not true. They do but they want very educated people with a wide knowledge base of Dementia. It is a specialty field,And you have to talk clear and have a gentle touch. My mom will be moving in very soon and I can sleep at night knowing she will have the best care possible.

My father had great care here by individuals who went out of their way to make his life more enjoyable. There were several people of color there when he was there for over a year and a half, and management seemed to care a great deal. He left 6 months ago, but the consistency I witnessed in the year and a half while he lived there makes me feel confident in recommending Wealshire for your loved one.

UPDATE: I am repulsed by the petty comments from past employees/staff who felt the need to review Wealshire negatively due to their own inability to do or hold a job. This facility is BEYOND fabulous, and their staff has been nothing short of heroes during this COVID pandemic. My mom was moved in one week before lock down, and they have been a godsend to both her, and our family. Every single person on staff there has picked up the slack and done things that are way above and beyond their job responsibilities, since they had to refrain from having others coming in to do activities with the residents due to health restrictions. They take this virus extremely seriously, and have gone out of their way to get the technology required for families to be able to do Facetime/Zoom/Skype sessions with our loved ones. You can imagine how busy they must be, scurrying from one resident's room to another, getting everyone connected and staying with them until their chat session is over. This, on top of all their regular duties. They do it all with a smile and so much love for the residents. My mom is so very fortunate to have such kind, loving, skillful staff caring for her. They are there to give her a hug and a smile when she is feeling blue and lonely, and it is clear that they love their jobs. I will NEVER be able to sufficiently convey my gratitude to them - it had to be very confusing and terrifying for these elderly folks to all of a sudden not have any visitors, and some with more severe dementia must have been so terribly sad and depressed, not knowing what was happening. We are now finally able to visit for short times, outdoors, socially distanced and masked, etc. and the fact that we are able to do this, is COMPLETELY thanks to the staff keeping everyone safe and healthy during this horrible time of COVID-19. Wealshire of Bloomington is an absolutely wonderful place. Great place with an abundance of care nurses and activity staff! The surroundings are bright and cheerful and it makes it MUCH less worrisome to know my mom is in such a nice, pretty, clean and active place!

My father was there for 2 years before he passed away. The staff was extremely caring. We often came in, especially near the end, and found a staff person just sitting holding his hand. He couldn't talk anymore, but he seemed to find it very comforting. When he first got there, he enjoyed the live music, the games and the fat golden retrievers that are in residence. The staff was wonderfully caring about how my Mom was doing without my dad at home too, and took the time to chat with her. Dad was always physically well cared for too, clean, wearing clean clothes, shaven, and they did physical therapy with him for as long as he could manage. We can't say enough good things about this fantastic place and were very happy with his care.

When I toured Wealshire as a place for my wife who suffered from the late stages of Alzheimer's, I was immediately impressed. Before this I had never seen a nursing facility that I liked. The facility had been constructed recently with the intent of serving only patients diagnosed with a form of dementia. The different wards were populated with patients evaluated as being at a similar stage of dementia. The individual rooms are grouped around spacious common areas where the patients spend much of their waking time in group activities and meals. My first impressions were confirmed when we placed my wife in Wealshire. Unfortunately she passed away after being a resident at Wealshire for a little over a month. However during that time I found the staff professional and made an effort to meet the needs of the patients in respectful and patient way. I was particularly impressed by all of the staff knowing the first names of all of the patients from day one. I was also impressed by the number and variety of group activities that took place every day. A solid five stars in my opinion.
