My mom lived in the assisted wing for years then transferred to nursing wing for a few months. I have not one complaint. The staff (from top to bottom) is absolutely wonderful!!! You couldn’t find a better place. Clean, courteous, caring & oh so patient with the residents and their families! Total and complete care

We needed to put a relative whose dementia advanced very quickly into a memory care unit during a global pandemic. This was a really, really tough situation but the Gilbert Residence handled it amazingly. They gave us many options for video chatting, which work for the entire family. They listened to everyones feedback about how my relative was settling in, and did an amazing job helping my relative make friends, feel like a part of the family, and find activities they wanted to participate in. Despite not being able to fully comprehend their condition, and not being able to see family in person due to COVID, my relative is thriving. Highly recommended.

Gilbert Residence procures a team of directors with exceptional expertise in the enhancement of assisted living. With a long-tenured social worker on-hand and a gifted recreational therapist, Gilbert Residence remains stellar in its tradition of outstanding care for its residents. The programs excellence is evident in social aspects including the comprehensive activity calendar and informative newsletter. The team remains progressive in managing curriculum during the pandemic, implementing modifications to events and activities in order to continue programming that enhances daily living. Best facility, hidden little gem! I am a health provider and go to many different facilities. Director of Nursing is very experienced and cares for all staff and residents as if they were family. From the Administrator down to the guest assistants, this place gets that patient care comes first. You can be certain they always act in the best interest of the resident. This is one of the few places I would consider for my loved ones if needed.

My mother has been a resident for the past year and a half and it has been such a wonderful experience. The staff is amazing from the receptionist, the administrative personnel, activities coordinators, to the nursing staff and everyone in between. They treat my mother with respect and it is obvious they care about her. There are a lot of activities and I know she is being well taken care of. This is such a relief during this challenging time when I havent been able to visit her personally for months due to the pandemic. They have provided weekly video conferences which has helped tremendously. This is a top notch facility with excellent care.

I spent 25 yrs ministering there one Sunday a Month up untill 2011 for PineView Church. After 5 yrs I returned to visit friends as residents and one convelesing. I could only hope to spend my convelesing days there!

Both my parents have been living together at The Gilbert Residence. My father recently passed away. He was treated with the utmost respect. The nursing staff, the CENA staff, Southern Hospice Care, and the social worker took wonderful care of him and us during this sad time. No request was too much and we were comforted at every turn. I am so thankful my dad spent the last almost 2 years in their care while my mother continues to receive their care. I cant name everyone because I am afraid I might miss someone, but I know that each person gave so much of themselves to care for him and still do for her. I only wish every person needing the type of care my parents have needed, could experience what The Gilbert Residence provides.
