My Mom entered Horizon, under the supervision of Hospice, to die after a massive stroke. While Hospice was pleasant enough, the care she received at Horizon made all the difference: for both her and us. Whether intermittently grabbing us coffee and snacks; furnishing a recliner for overnight stays; supplying numerous blankets for our comfort; proving a shoulder to cry on; or an ear to listen, the Horizon staff was on top of it. We were allowed to bring in my Mom's personal belongings to decorate her room, and the staff was polite enough to genuinely compliment her style and taste. In addition to thoroughly and kindly caring for my Mom, I saw the same tenderness and attentiveness directed to all Horizon patients, whether Hospice or longterm. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Unfortunately, I can't remember everyone's name, but thank you Christa, Zoey, Amy, Barb, Nelly, Janet, Heather, and the nice lady who offered us biscuits and gravy (and everyone else!!). Zoey, thank you for repeatedly putting up with my annoying medication "reminders." The location was beautiful, and my family and I spent many hours wandering the fields, and walking the nearby roads. The staff at this facility are so attentive and nice to my mother. They keep us updated on any changes she may have. Which makes us feel more comfortable. I know my mother is very happy here. She loves all the caregivers. I highly recommend this facility. They go above and beyond to make her comfortable and happy which is exactly what we wanted for her.

I can't begin to tell you the peace of mind I have knowing that Carrie and her staff are taking care of our 94 year old loved one. To know that he is safe and lovingly cared for is wonderful.

My Mom was a longtime/6+ yr resident of Horizon Senior Living in West Branch—starting pretty much as an independent resident but progressively worsening with a dementia diagnosis until her death in Sept '19. Initially— 6 yrs ago—she was very well taken care of and it's become clear that, since Carrie took over as manager in '19, that level of care has returned. I do not live in West Branch, but never had any concern about leaving Mom in their care because they pretty much "adopted" & cared for her as if she was family.

Carrie and her staff go above and beyond the call of duty !! They treat each resident as if they are their own family members. If you are looking for an assisted / senior living center for you loved one's you can't go wrong by Horizon in West Branch, MI.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. The staff and the management (Carrie) are top notch and what I call angels on earth. I've never seen health care workers be so selfless, caring and compassionate as they are here. My Dad lives here and I feel they treat him just as well (if not better) than I could myself. I feel so lucky to have him In such an amazing living facility. It's clean, decorated very nicely and staff is amazing. Shout outs to Liz, Kim, Michelle, Destiny, Amanda, Sarah and their amazing leader, Carrie, for giving my Dad such amazing care.

The staff shows much affection and love to both Mom and Dad and makes them feel like family. Mom and Dad are both dementia patients and are very difficult to care for. The facility is very clean, Rooms are great size and always clean. The staff is a joy to be around as they are very friendly and good at what they do. It takes a very special person to do the job they do, and they have them here. Could not ask for a better place to keep our parents safe and secure. It makes visiting our parents a true blessing and joy. Thanks to Carrie and all your staff for taking such great care of our parents and their living environment. 🙂

Horizon Senior Center of West Branch has both of my parents as residence, both with severe dementia. I cannot say enough for the staff and facilities. The staff is great to my parents and family when we visit and the facility is kept very clean and is very well maintained.

My father received the most loving care and attention I could have ever hoped for. The staff worked together very well as a team, under the very capable and knowledgeable management of Ms. Carrie Jasman. The meals provided were delicious and we visitors were always welcome to join for dinner. Cleanliness is next to godliness and The Horizon gets an A+ on this score. If I should ever need nursing home care, I hope I am fortunate enough to find a place as wonderful as The Horizon of West Branch. Dignity and respect are the two words that come to mind as I reflect back on my Dad's experience at The Horizon. He lived to be 95 and was a WWII veteran. I'm at peace now knowing his last days were as comfortable as possible.
