My grandma got assaulted by another patient in the memory care unit and they refuse to do anything and claim they know nothing. And refuse to evict the person who assaulted her. Not safe wouldn’t recommend

My mom has lived at two prior facilities, and Sunrise Troy seems to be the best we have seen. I really appreciate that their main entry is locked to monitor who is entering and exiting. A staff member can buzz you in or out. This makes me feel at ease that my mom is safe. They have people sign in electronically to record who is visiting your loved one. The RN Jessica who did the initial assessment did a great job, using the more fine-tuned interview techniques I've seen the neurologist use to assess cognitive functioning. I could tell she was well trained and cared about doing the assessment according to the protocol. I appreciate that Sunrise posts staff pictures on the wall with staff name, position, and sometimes how long they've worked there. This is a great way to recognize staff, demonstrate transparency to family, and remind residents of staff names. Sunrise has dedicated care managers for the residents. Most places don't take the care to do this, so we never knew the names of the staff assisting our mom. At other facilities, staff would often rotate, get replaced often, or not wear a visible name tag, all of which left us feeling lost and helpless about who was caring for our mom. Sunrise Troy has many employees who have been working there for years, which says a lot about how they treat the staff. I look forward to my mom moving in and sharing more good experiences.

This facility offers a very comfortable atmosphere. The team members are very friendly and more than willing to help in anyway possible. The facility was very clean and well maintained. Received lots of positive views from current residents while on our tour. Highly recommend checking out this facility if you have a loved one that is in need of Assisted Living.

I requested information for Sunrise of Troy online and within 15 minutes got a call from a friendly representative. They arranged a visit and tour for me to see it on behalf of my parents. The management then arranged a virtual tour for my parents over Zoom so that they could see it too. Everyone was very friendly, courteous and it is obvious that the staff is very passionate about their work. The residents have lots to do and it seems like a real community of neighbors.

Sunrise, Troy is a fabulous facility. I would confidently trust my family member in their care, which to me, says it all! The nurses and care staff in the building truly care about their residents and their follow up is top-notch. This Sunrise specifically, has somehow managed to acquire three exceptional nurses with backgrounds ranging from In-patient Rehabilitation to Emergency. I couldn't think of a better combination of RN experience for a senior living home. These ladies TRULY help make this facility top notch! Additional qualities that matter to me: They have a wonderful chef who prepares a wide range of tasty treats! I've been present during several meals and even enjoyed a few enchiladas( I may have went back for seconds), pasta, and even homemade cannolis.

First off, let us just say that our experience was top notch! The staff was attentive and knew how emotional this visit was. I can't thank them enough for the tender care that they welcomed us and our aging parents with. Parnell, who is a saint, welcomed us with open arms and made our visit memorable. We can honestly say, that we would have struggled so much without him, especially with all the issues that arise when it's time to place your aging parents in an assisted living center. I think he works 24/7. He was on top of everything and made this feel seamless. I cannot praise him enough, He is a very caring person and makes sure to put our family's needs first. He was, and still is, answering every question and always treating us with respect and compassion. He deserves so much more than a 5 star review!! THANK YOU PARNELL, FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!! Our parents are thriving in this place they now call home. The support of all the staff; from the maintenance crew, the care team, the nursing staff, dining room people and the welcoming women at the front desk have made such an emotional journey so much easier. We will never be able to express our gratitude to all of you.

My initial experience with Sunrise of Troy has been great! Parnell helped answer my initial questions and worked to get the amenities and cost down where we could afford. Jessica has a heart of Gold and truly cares how my Aunt is going to integrate into this new environment and will work to meet her where she is to have a wonderful experience and new life. Parnell and Jessica have gone above and beyond to make this transfer easy and provide the care and amenities that my Aunt will love. Thank you!

My Mom has been here, in the reminiscence community, for a little over a year. She came from a short stay in another assisted living facility that left her wheelchair bound and in poor physical and mental health. We thought we only had a few months with her. She has come such a long way due the kindness, compassion and dedication of staff. From Tom on down the staff, especially the daily care givers, provide care with dignity, compassion and genuine caring. It is like family. They have many staff that have been there for years but they must have a special knack for hiring as the new staff exhibit the same qualities. Mom has had her dignity, physical and mental health restored and we have her smiles and laughter. Thank you Sunrise Troy My advice for those looking for a care facility for their loved one, pop in for an unscheduled visit at dinner or activity time. You'll find a consistent, active and engaging atmosphere at Sunrise

Sunrise of Troy was a safe, comfortable and pleasant place for my 89 year old mother to stay for respite care while I was out of the country for a fortnight. Would do it again when I have to travel next!

This is a top notch professional assisted living location for my father. Everyone has been excellent from the nursing, administration, cleaning, physical therapy, employees and food staff who are extremely helpful and nice everyday. When I hear my dad saying he loves the food that is saying allot. Want to give a shout out to Parnell Kenan the Director of Sales who absolutely made the transition from rehab to Sunrise so smooth for my father and made him feel welcomed and comfortable. My father who loves jazz so pleased with the various concerts they have once or twice a week there. One week it was country and the next it was jazz. A Big thank you.

We moved my mother in law into the Paoli location the day prior to everything shutting down due to corona virus so havent been able to go in to visit her since her move in day. The staff has been wonderful to work with! From the window visits when we drop stuff off for her, to the weekly medical update calls, to the face time calls with their iPad, to the excellent care she has been receiving! She looks better than Ive seen her look in the past 3 years! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone! Im in medicine and very critical when it comes to geriatric care and these guys have far exceeded all my expectations!

My mother resides at Sunrise while I am in another state, and after being her chauffeur, personal shopper and taking care of everything concerned with her health care for several years before moving, I am so thankful for the staff at Sunrise!! They are so caring and attentive to the needs of the residents, which takes such a weight off my mind!! When I talk to Mom, I can tell shes as happy as possible, knowing she can no longer stay in the house she lived in for 70 years (she suffers Mild Cognitive Dementia, Alzheimers). I cannot praise the facility any higher for their prompt attention to protocols designed to protect the residents during this unique situation and I so appreciate the sacrifices each staff member is making to ensure the facility runs as close to normal as possible, even as they try dealing with this situation in their own home lives...... So THANK YOU to all Senior Care Workers for your tireless efforts on behalf of all the seniors in your care, and THANK YOU for your hearts... for caring so much for our family members!!!
