Re Eden House Staff and Owner and Caregiver, Ana I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care my mother, Rose Baise, has received since moving into Eden House in July 2023. Transitioning to assisted living was a difficult step for our family, but your staff’s compassion, patience, and professionalism have given us immense peace of mind. In particular, I want to recognize Ana and her staff for consistently going above and beyond to ensure my mother is clean, comfortable, engaged, and treated with dignity. The reality of our situation was that when we brought mom to Eden House in 2023, mom had come as a hospice patient with probably less the 6 weeks to live, if that. The changes we witnessed in mom due to the personal care she received from Ana and her staff, thereafter, were nothing short of a miracle. Today she is 98 years old, and still doing well, all things considered. We are so appreciative of the warm environment you provide. Thank you for your tireless dedication to your residents. My grandmother has been a resident at Eden House Assisted Living in Troy for an extended period of time, and our family has been extremely grateful for the care she has received. The staff has provided excellent, personalized attention, and it's clear that they are about the residents. I'm very comfortable knowing that my grandmother’s health, safety, and well being are in the hands of the team at Eden House. The nurses and staff have been kind, attentive, professional, and supportive throughout her time there. We're thankful for such a wonderful group of caregivers and would highly recommend Eden House Assisted Living to families looking for a caring and trustworthy environment for their loved ones.

I was not asked to do this, but I feel compelled to write a review for Eden House. It's been just over a year now that my Father has been at Eden House, and our experience has been GREAT. My husband & I have a lot of experience with In-Home Care & several other Assisted Living Homes. Our previous experience was always "just good enough" care, with lots of daily check-ins by us. My father always had UTI issues at home with his part-time caregiver & at the 1st facility we had him stationed. Eden House has been very different from other LTC Facilities - it is a private house with only 6 beds, 2 caregivers per shift, and an owner who is there every day - Ana Valeanu. I cannot say enough good things about Ana & her staff. They have basically given me & my husband our lives back. The care at Eden House is so good that we feel safe without doing the daily checkups that we previously had to do when he was at home or at the 1st LTC facility. Our confidence in Eden House is so great, that we have been able to enjoy Florida sunshine during the winter. Ana calls my phone and lets me talk to my father while we are away in Florida. Ana is also very involved in my fathers medical care, interacting with the visiting physician every month. Ana & her staff are very good at visually determining when "something is not right". They will call the visiting physician & will call us to let us know what is going on. My father no longer has the UTI's that he previously had once or twice a year. The holidays are also special at Eden House . They have big feast for their clients every holiday (see the photos). The Eden House is located in a BEAUTIFUL setting in Troy Michigan, with a nice walking park right next to the house, and an occasional deer coming up to the back door of the property. Eden House is a special place, it is unlike any LTC facility that we have ever dealt with. You will not find a better facility for your loved one. Eden House came recommended through a friend-of-a-friend. It was the perfect fit for my mother who lived there for almost six months. My mother was well taken care of by the kind and capable staff and passed away peacefully there. The house and rooms are clean and comfortable. Ana is amazing at what she does, is very attentive to patients, and was always quick to respond to family members. My brother and I live out-of-town and felt very comfortable that our mother was in such good hands. Eden House is located adjacent to a park, so it has a lovely backyard.

I cannot say enough positive things about Eden House and the care my mother received there. My mom lived at Eden House for 5 years. She had dementia and had previously resided at a higher-end memory care residence, a place that had a fancy physical look, design, and layout but did not serve her well; her care at that other facility was substandard and she suffered several unexplained injuries. We’re so glad we found Eden House. The caregivers are all attentive and excellent. They made great efforts to keep my mom and the other residents comfortable, safe, and well-attended. As my mom became less and less mobile, she was at higher risk of developing a pressure sore and that eventually happened, which was not at all something Eden House could be faulted for. The amazing thing was that, through the great care Eden House staff provided, it completely healed and never recurred. The caregiver-to-resident ratio is excellent. They prepare very good, nutritious meals. Eden House is extremely well managed. The home and rooms were always immaculate. We visited frequently and never observed any problems. Management and staff were always willing to communicate with us and kept us informed of any developments. The staff and management were always pleasant. They responded to all questions or concerns we had. It is clear they care a great deal for and about their residents. The physical location is great and the setting ideal, in a quiet residential community with a lovely yard and city park nearby.

It is with great pleasure and without reservation that I recommend Eden House. My mother lived at Eden House for the last six years of her life, certainly much longer than the typical resident. She suffered from severe dementia and ultimately required complete assistance. In every way Eden House was without equal and surpassed our expectations. The home itself is clean, attractive, well-maintained, and safe. The location is quiet, the grounds are pleasant, and there is an adjacent park with walking paths. The food was well prepared and tailored to mom's specific needs; the medical attention was competent and appropriate; and her daily care needs were always met at a level that far exceeded the basics. Mom was always clean, comfortable, and given much attention. Our family felt welcomed and at ease whenever visiting. All the staff were always friendly, cheerful, and solicitous. However, the qualities that stood out consistently were the level of caring and personal concern the staff provided. Without exception they treated mom not only professionally but with compassion as though they were attending to a family member. Even during the depths of the COVID crisis there was no compromise in her care. I would not hesitate to have a loved one reside at Eden House. The resident census, wonderful care, and personal attention are first rate. Our family continues to feel fortunate to have had our mother spend her last years at Eden House. Paul A. My mother-in-law was a resident at Eden House for a year in '21 and '22. Ana and her team at Eden House were spectacular. They provided exceptional care, both medical and emotional, to ensure our Mom was loved and comfortable. It was extremely difficult for our family to make the decision to move our mom to an assisted living facility. Our expectations and concerns in general were very high. My mother lived at Eden house for a short but wonderful time. She passed unexpectedly after one month.The time that she spent there was the most comforting time that both she and I had in the last year of her life. The facility is wonderful. The rooms are clean and neat and the bedding and clothing is changed daily. The food was home cooked and very good. The views outside the windows are lovely. Eden house is on a beautiful wooded lot with wildlife and deer. Each room has a cable Tv and Wi-Fi which is very helpful when you’re sitting with your loved one. The staff at Eden house is fantastic. They are kind and caring. They are knowledgeable about medically caring for the elderly and disabled.They knew what to say and do to keep both me and my mother comfortable and well informed. I can only say that I would highly recommend Eden house if you are looking for a wonderful place to place a loved one. My thanks to everyone at Eden House that helped my mother. Our mother stayed at Eden Hourse for about 3 months. We didn't want to put her into a typical nursing home. After visiting many Adult Foster Care homes, we decided on Eden House, because of its homey atmosphere and more important, the caregivers. We were worried about moving her from her long time home to an unfamiliar place. But when we arrived, the caregivers welcomed her with open arms. They knew exactly what to say to comfort her like they would their own parent. They provide a family atmosphere. We were able to leave her there knowing she was in good hands. Mom has recently passed peacefully. God Bless the caregivers at Eden House.

My mother stayed at Eden House for almost 3 months. When making the decision to relocate her from her home our family decided to move her to a place where she would get the best care available. We didn't want to put her into a typical nursing home. After researching and visiting a number of Adult Foster Care Homes, we decided on Eden House. We were so happy that we did. The caregivers are loving, caring people. They knew what my mom's needs were, from food to medications to clothing her. The loving care she was given put my mind at ease, knowing that I didn't have to worry about her and that she was happy. That is all we wanted for her. The setting is tree lined and beautiful and serene atmosphere. All in all, a wonderful place for my mom's last days.

There is no better place than Eden House for a senior. My father in late stage Alzheimer was extremely well taken care of at this facility. I felt so fortunate to know that he was in a unique facility where every person was well respected and cared for with the best dedicated staff I have ever met. The owner is an advocate for her residents, The staff is supportive of the whole family and really welcoming. An added bonus for our family was that some of the caregivers spoke Italian which was my father's native language so we feel there was really not better place for him to be...We were so so very fortunate to find this senior living. I would recommend it without hesitation for anyone who is seeking care for their family member.

My mother spent the last 9 months of her life at Eden House. I cannot say enough good things about the compassionate, caring staff. They were amazing and gave my sister and I such peace knowing well they were taking care of Mom. Eden House was first mentioned to us by our hospice staff. We'd had a horrible experience at a large assisted living facility in Troy and needed to move Mom on short notice due to negligence and confusion at the other place. Coming off such a bad experience, we did our due diligence in finding a new living arrangement. Before we finalized things, the owners offered us the contact info for the other families whose loved ones were at Eden House. Every single family gave glowing remarks, not one single negative was voiced. There was no reason for anyone not to tell the truth during those confidential discussions and it speaks volumes about the excellence of their care. I will always regret not moving my mom to Eden House earlier. I encourage anyone interested to check them out.

I immediately felt at home when I visited Eden House looking for a placement for my husband, and was very impressed with how clean and pleasant the surroundings are. The manager, Ana and her husband, the owner, are lovely people who really care about what they are doing. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff who care for my husband and the other residents. They are very calm, knowledgeable and supportive and care for each resident so well. I witness acts of kindness and respect for the residents from each of them on a daily basis. The residents, their rooms and their beds are always clean and fresh and mealtimes are a highlight, with lots of nourishing homemade dishes. My husband has been at Eden House for three months now and the level of care has been consistently exceptional. We are blessed that some of the caregivers can speak italian, my husband's first language, for it must be a comfort to him. I was distressed that I could no longer care for my husband myself but am at peace knowing that he is at Eden House. I will be forever grateful to them.

We feel incredibly fortunate that we found Eden House for our 85 year old mother, who has mid-stage dementia. The care is exceptional, my mother is treated with kindness and her needs always attended to by very experienced, warm, patient and consistent caregivers who go above and beyond to make her feel safe and comfortable. This is a place that feels like a home, it is immaculate and in a beautiful setting. Everyone there treats our mother like a family member. The food is delicious and healthy. As a family, we are always made aware of how she is doing and the communication is excellent and proactive. If you’re thinking about Eden House don’t hesitate, you won’t find better in my opinion and based on our experience.

I simply can't say enough about the care my father received while at Eden House. This is a absolutely beautiful and well-maintained home in a park-like setting. The house is often filled with wonderful aromas of home cooked meals and authentic kindness from caregivers who are truly engaged and care about the comfort and needs of all the residents. I wish I would have known about Eden House from the start when my father first needed extra care. At Eden House, he was always clean and shaved daily and treated with kindness and respect. There is a commons area with a large television where residents spend a lot of time together, although each room has its own television as well. A large patio deck overlooks a spacious backyard with a vegetable garden. Eden House is a home more than a facility, and the caregivers feel more like family than someone just doing a job. I highly recommend Eden House to anyone looking for quality care and the comfort of knowing their loved one is in a place where their needs matter.

My father was at Eden House for 3 1/2 short months Nov2017-Feb2018 until he passed away. My father didnt like hospital atmospheres so this place was perfect for him. The home is newer, beautiful, clean, bright, odor-free, and on a lovely treed lot with ample parking. The caregivers are all very friendly and gently handled him and cared for his every need. Although he had dementia, he knew a few words in Italian and the aides sometimes spoke it for him. My father was always well-groomed, clean, and so was his clothes and bed. There was plenty of closet and drawer space for his things. They were gracious to our family and always were polite. We highly recommend Eden House!
