The Medical Team is horrible! Rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. They tell residents they are too much to take care of, they OFTEN tell them they dont have time for them! they are left sitting for hours without the help they need. these are elderly human beings that deserve care and respect and are definitely not receiving that here! This Medical team needs to be evaluated and replaced! If you have no compassion for the people you will encounter in this position, find a different line of work! Highly do NOT recommend.

My husband and I moved in to the about 4 months ago, in a rushed manner. The move was rough, but the landing was just right. The staff at American House Troy have been wonderful. The administration staff has helped to make our adjustment easy as possible. Maintenance has been very helpful. The food service has surpassed expectations! The housekeeping staff has been excellent. The medical staff has been very helpful. The activity staff provides group activities and personal assistance to make us feel part of an extended family. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Wow Lois! I cant thank you enough. Moving mom to American House was a great decision for mom. At first, I had lots of questions and concerns, you were always pleasant and professional no matter how many times I called. It was especially nice when you greeted mom on her first day. Everyone at American House of Troy has been amazing. It gives me peace of mind knowing someone is there assisting with her needs. For me what sealed the deal was on moms first night she sent me a pic of a beautiful sunset from her balcony. She texted “my first sunset.” I asked “are you happy?” She replied “very.” What more can I ask than that? Thank you.

We have been looking for the right place for my mom and dad that would enable them to transition from their house to an independent living with a medical care. American House of Troy has been the ideal solution. Beyond the great facility and medical care team, the residents are super friendly, my parents really enjoy the meals and they are able to access so many stores/shops in the local community. Finally, I want to call out Lois Ryzyk for the outstanding job she did from the initial contact, to the tours, and the countless questions. She made a huge difference making my parents comfortable with this move. Well done to American House of Troy and all the staff.

I was looking for a place for my parents for probably 6 months. My aunts were too. It is really hard to find a place that is affordable, inviting, with decent food, and a caring staff. Michigan is better than most states, but it is still hard. Finding American House felt like an epic relief of stress. From the intro meeting, to onboarding, to moving in it was an easy and pleasant experience. The cost of the facility is more than some and less than quite a few. From a cost / benefit analysis viewpoint it is at or close to the top of any place I visited. Staff there is caring and attentive. They take residents on trips to the mall, stores, movies, etc which keeps my parents engaged and happy. The ability of the facility to adjust care as needed for my parents helps alleviate the worry about future care needs. If my parents need more they can get more on site. If you are searching for a current / future site of an assisted living facility make sure you take the time to visit American House.. you will be glad you did.

The medical team, support team, entire staff (kitchen, facilities, etc) and residents were friendly, kind, helpful and supportive. We just went on a tour today. The property is super clean, residents are active and the staff is friendly. The residents can even have a pet!

My mother has been here now 9 months. Having the opportunity to go down to the dining room for her afternoon meal gives her more independence. Can't wait till the evening meal is served there too. Right now it's brought to their rooms because of staffing issues. Over all... it's been a good experience. Thank you Nicole and Debbie for all your assistance and the staff in the dining room for their patience.

My Brother-in-law has been living in American house for close to 7 years now and his adjustable bed has been broken the whole time, I have talked to staff and management over the years and still nothing, how hard can it be to fix or replace a broken bed, my Brother-in-law is paralyzed on 1 side and a working bed would be a huge help for him to get up on his own etc... what do I have to do to get it fixed, this is pathetic, I have other complaints but this one is the most important at this time, 7 years unbelievable

They have the experience, the knowledge and the compassion to help your family. American House has been in the area for many years and their ability to react to any need is proven. My sisters mother-in-law, yiya arrived at American House several years ago and was welcomed and made to feel right at home. They took extraordinary care of her, knew who she was and knew her required needs. When she passed, they took it as hard as the family as they truly welcomed her into the community. Very clean well cared for community.

My Dad was a resident at Troy American House and loved it. He felt like it was family their with all the staff and residents. He love all the activities (especially happy hour) and entertainment. Never once complained about the food either. The family felt safe with him there. I give it a 5+ star rating.

This was the best place my uncle Jipcho has ever stayed. The staff is great and caring, the food is outstanding, housekeeping so nice and going out of their way to do above and beyond. My uncle had so much fun with all the activities.

They were very nice and careing. We put our mom there so she could have her own apartment but under a watchful eye. I went to see her yesterday. Had lunch and dinner with her. Food was great. They have a calendar so she can decide if she wants to join in or not.
