I want to Thank Shaina and her amazing staff inside the Villa assisted living. Wow, the warmth, care and sense of family was tangible. The love they showered on my mother was heart felt and generous. They have a tough job caring for our elderly and I'm sure some days were hard. My mom loved everyone there and it was a comfort to me and my family. Thank you, we are all family now. This staff all need a Raise in pay. I would gladly give more stars if I could!!

I was here a week ago visiting a family member and I would highly recommend this facility. It is ran by amazing, experienced, and professional staff who take the best care of the residents. I could see that from just the couple hours I was there. The residents all seemed happy and content. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Let me start by saying the employees are in general pretty great. The unfortunate truth: They are so understaffed that at times they have 10 to 20 or more people that are being assisted by one aid, because that is all they have staff-wise. Folks here sometimes have to wait for several minutes before an aid can come in to help them out of bed, to the toilet, or off the toilet. This staffing situation is tragic, it is causing and costing the residents pain and time. When you are stuck with limited mobility in need of assistance in a funded (we should talk about that sometime...) nursing home, where you might expect that help would be readily available, you will be stuck twiddling your thumbs or soiling yourself before an overworked aid can even make it to you. The Aids are great, but so horribly overworked and don't have much of anybody to back them up. We have an epidemic here in America, our elders and disabled persons are living in sad and unacceptable conditions. How can the Villa at Traverse Point get a proper staff when they don't have the right funding, regulations, and applicants. They do their best make the lives of the residents better, they have activities and cable TV (if you can afford it, hopefully, even though most of your money is going to pay for your Residence and Health, and hopefully you have a decent pension or security or you are going to be bored). I need to re-enforce the fact that the people are great, they just are under-paid and overworked -- worse yet, extemely understaffed and underfunded. The quality of life is not one that I would wish to endure, and I hope that awareness of the staffing shortage and funding shortage is raised and I sincerly hope that quality of life increases for both residents and staff. In it's current state though, I could not in good faith reccomend the Villa at Traverse Point, and it is unfortunate. (I am NOT affiliated with the Villa at Traverse Point)

I have worked here for a few years. Most the CNA's and nurses do an amazing job. However scine we have had this pandemic staffing is incredibly difficult. So we run with 1 to 2 maybe if we are lucky 3 CNA's. Some CNA's are working 20 hour shifts. Yes we know it's not legal but we cant just not have our people have nobody. So we do it. I just gave up my full time position and went contingent as I am burned out along with many others. I need a break for my own mental health. So when you see a CNA's please know she or he is working incredibly long hours because they really do care. As for management they need to leave our bonuses alone and be thankful for the CNA's the ones who are there are staying.

I am a conservator for my friend here. The care team here is incredible, especially the physical and occupational therapists, but really most everyone. The staff shortage is at all of the facilities, but the staff here have been well trained and extremely kind and caring. She was previously in an assisted living home with abusive staff (Indian Trail), that they retained even after the abuses were reported. She was an emergency placement here and I'm so glad this facility took her in. She has been paralyzed on one side since 1/2020. With the daily therapy she is getting here, she is now learning to walk. Yesterday she walked 130 steps holding a railing!!! We couldn't be happier!!! Thank you to everyone here!

This facility is amazing. The staff here have went above and beyond for caring for my father. He has only been there a few days, but he is so happy to be here. Everyone who will be involved with my fathers care, did a conference call with me to get everything out on the table. How wonderful...... I have talked to many staff, I would like to name, Nicole-with Admissions, Stacy- Case Manager, Stephanie- Nurse Practitioner, and Chad- Occupational Therapy. These are only a few so far, but a huge THANK YOU to all of you. Caring for people is not an easy job at all, I appreciate all you do and continue to do for not only my Father, but us as a family! Cannot wait to see what the future is like....God Bless all...

Here are my observations about the level of care I received during my 18 day stay at the Villa. Please note I am a retired military officer whose perspective may not be shared with others who have never been in challenging situations before. 1. The level of care during my extended stay was very good. The RNs and CNAs were attentive whenever I called for pain medications. On occasion the staff is busy with long term residents, but they did their very best to attend to me in a timely manner. Having said that, there are some training opportunities which the Villa should undertake with some of the CNAs who were not exactly inclined to assist with simple tasks such as refilling water when needed. I found that to be disappointing. 2. The RNs and CNAs at the Villa are a very good team. I was appreciative of each and every one of them. They did their jobs well as I was able to observe them not just with myself, but other long term residents as well. My hat is off to them. They are caring professionals who work in the face of end of life situations for their patients and they do so with respect, humor, and an attitude that their patients come first. This was my personal experience and observation. I cannot say enough good things about them. 3. The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy I received during my stay was exactly what was needed. It was tough going when I first arrived. However, it was also exactly what I needed. The OT/PT staff were attentive and caring not just to me but with their permanent resident patients whom I observed their interaction with on a daily basis. I cannot say enough about these fine people and the work they do at the Villa. I would like to take a moment about senior staff at the Villa. Each and every time I engaged with senior administrative staff at the Villa they were very attentive and made me feel like I was their first priority. I cannot say enough about the Administrator, the Office Manager, the Social Worker, the Dietician, and of course the Nurse Practitioner who checked on me regularly. The staff at the Villa made certain I felt comfortable and safe the entire time I was there. I appreciated their efforts to ensure I was cared for during a very challenging and difficult period. I am indebted to them. Lastly, as an old Army guy I have to address the food service at the Villa. It is very good for such a facility. Due to my situation, all my meals were taken in bed. The food arrived in a timely manner, was hot, nutritious, and tasty. It filled me up. I am happy to say the food was much better than I thought it would be. As such I wish to thank the kitchen staff for serving good healthy meals. The Villa at Traverse Point is not a country club. It's a place where long term residents come for care. For extended stay rehab option it was more than adequate for what I was there for and I am very thankful for the entire staff who worked with me. The people at the Villa are hard working and dedicated, and it shows in their every day efforts/interactions with their patients. I gladly submit this review in support of the Villa having spent 18 days and a wakeup them. Thank you.

Staff very good, very caring, and you can see they work hard. However, the smell of urine was very strong in the hallways at times. I attribute it to being understaffed.
