MDI has been great! I am responsible for taking care of my cousin while she rehabilitated from a nasty brain injury. The team at MDI was always so upbeat, super responsive to me (out of state care taker), and made my cousin feel comfortable while she was there. Would highly recommend for quality of care!

My mother was here for a respite stay following a rehab visit. While the place was generally clean and the staff and management were friendly and pleasant, pretty much nothing we were told when we first explored MDI was true. Check-ins every two hours? Didn't happen. Room cleaning every week? Didn't happen. Showers on Wednesday & Sunday? Didn't happen. Pull cord/alert button goes to an office that's usually not occupied and it often took several hours for a staff person to respond. Don't put your loved one here if they need immediate care, because they'll be waiting for a looooong time for help to come.

My elderly aunt was finished with her rehab, but still was using a walker, and was unsteady, and needed care 24/7, with her daily needs. She was "In between" her end of rehab, and going back to her home. Nikki arranged for her to come stay at My Doctors Inn for respite care. My aunt had physical therapy, medication management, meals, and assistance with her other needs. She became stronger, and was using the walker, but still, was walking around a lot more than she was in rehab, and was getting her strength back! She was also participating in the wonderful social activities that were offered, and even made a couple of new friends! I am so grateful all of the staff at My Doctors Inn and everything that they did to make sure that my aunt got the care she needed, and then, she was finally able to go home. I am firmly convinced it was because of the services that she received, which helped her to become independent and living in her own home again. Wonderful care, amazing and caring staff, and the assistance that she received, and knowing that there was going to be somebody there 24/7 if she needed someone. It really gave me peace of mind knowing that she was getting excellent care. I would highly recommend My Doctors Inn! Thank you to all the staff for everything that they did to help bring my aunt home.

Aida, her management team and her staff have served a very difficult client in my Mother-in-law. They have done so with grace and compassion. During these unprecedented times, I believe that they have made the tough decisions to keep her and the rest of this very vulnerable and precious population as safe and well cared for as possible. I do not believe the decisions made have been easy or popular. Have I agreed with all that I have seen and experienced in the nearly 2 years Mom as been a resident at My Doctors Inn? No. But I do understand that these professionals are trained and care deeply about the well being of their residents. My Doctors Inn was our only option after Mom was unable to return to her previous placement. It has been a lifesaving help to our family. Thank you for the service you perform when we were unqualified and unable.

Mom has been here since July 1st after coming from a different assisted living place that although was beautiful they were not caring for my Mom or looking out for her as they should have. This pandemic has been stressful on everyone and I cant image how it is for the employees of My Doctors Inn as well as those living there. Every single person I have met or spoken to have been super friendly and are so very nice to my Mom. You can tell by how they help her with her hair and her nails that they go above an beyond to help her maintain her appearance as she needs help with everything it seems. They are attentive to her normal routine and are quick to access if there is a change in her that requires medical attention. The management team is super responsive and empathic. Cannot be easy on them with everyone having to contact via phone right now. Guilia answering the phone and managing the front desk is such a joy to deal with. Thanks to the entire team for all that you do. It cannot be easy, particularly these days. Me and my family do appreciate it. She is precious to us and its important to know that you think she is too!

From the moment we entered this facility forward, we have been treated with love and kindness.My fear level was off the charts and everybody here when out of their way to ease my fear. Every single person including the director assistant directors every staff member has been kind and respectful to both my brother and myself. In a time where my life was literally crumbling in around me the staff here made me feel I was at home and I was safe and they did the same for my brother I honestly cant thank them enough. My brother tested positive for COVID-19 on December 8 they alerted me immediately we discussed his care the Doctor Who is a doctor they use at their facility is wonderful Dr. Stefan he immediately ordered medications one care pharmacy was kind enough to drive them and deliver them I believe within an hour my brother is doing very well he has only exhibited very mild symptoms which is nothing short of a miracle considering all of the medical issues that he has. They have been absolutely fabulous with taking care of him and making sure he stayed safe.I have been impressed with the way theyve handled the situation yes they have had a few positive cases but theyve managed it and kept to a minimum.

I could not be happier with the care my relative receives at My Doctors Inn, especially during the covid outbreak. Staff has gone to great lengths to keep residents safe and to help us feel connected when we cant see each other: they text photos of her to me and assist with frequent video chats. Today, for example, they sent me a photo of her receiving one of the gift bags that they gave to all the residents, and a photo of staff dressed as elves. She looks happy when we video chat. She has dementia, so they assist her with eating (Im surprised theyve been able to keep her weight up), play music for her and make sure her robotic cat that she thinks is real is nearby. These are tough times for people who work in assisted living and long term care facilities, but you would never know it from the kindness and patience they show my relative.

My mothers been here for a couple of years, with dementia. The live music program (suspended currently due to covid) has been fantastic, with top quality performers - I go for my own enjoyment as much as to sit with my mother. The staff has been exceptional. The real test is I think what happens when family isnt there, and there have been several times Ive stopped in unannounced and unexpected, and walked in to find staff sitting with my mother in her living room, going through her old photos with her, spending one on one quality time with her. With visiting 3-4 times a week for a couple years, Ive never seen a staff member raise their voice or speak with anything other than kindness and patience and a smile to a resident - or to another staff member.

My Mother has been a resident at My Doctors Inn for 4 1-2 years. We toured several facilities before making our choice. My Mom and our family are very happy with our decision because she gets the best of care and its a great atmosphere. Numerous activities, events and dinners that family can participate in. I have always been impressed with the employees who are always welcoming and fun! Of course, the pandemic has limited visits and activities, but the staff has gone out of their way to keep the residents and the staff as safe as possible. 5 Stars for My Doctors Inn!

My father is currently living at My Doctors Inn. I am shocked by some of the negative comments I have read. Our experience has been excellent! The staff has bent over backwards to help us during a very difficult time. I cant thank Anna Maria, Desiree, Carolina, Nikki, Rebecca and Guilia enough for all that they have done to make this transition smoother I also think the care team has been amazing and answered all of our requests. This is a beautiful facility with loving and caring people who work there. I would definitely recommend My Doctors Inn if your loved one needs to move to an Assisted Living or Memory Care facility. I also wanted to add that they have handled the pandemic wonderfully and taken all precautions to keep the residents safe.

My mother has been a resident at My Doctors Inn since 2017. I am very pleased with the level of care that she gets from the staff. The staff members are very knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. The overall environment is A plus. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering assisted living for a loved one. During COVID-19: This event has been very hard on us as a family and on my mom as a resident. My Doctors Inn has gone through great lengths to follow the proper protocol to keep the staff and our family members safe and involved with one another. I appreciate the kindness of the staff keeping us informed and coming up with ways to be involved at a distance. They had a Mothers Day parade and Halloween activities that the residents could view from inside. Once again I would like to say thank you and keep up the good work while keeping our spirits up.

My mom has been part of the My Doctor's Inn family for five years. Not only has my mom received excellent care in their memory care unit, but she is happy. Her needs are attended to by a loving and caring staff who are quick to help her in any way she needs. My mom has progressed from someone needing a watchful eye to someone who depends on others to care for her. My Doctor's Inn was the perfect choice when she needed a safe environment and it continues to be the right choice now that she needs more constant care. I love that not only do they look out for my mom's needs, they look out for mine. We have laughed together and cried together while facing the challenges dementia brings. Having worked in senior living for over 12 years, my siblings and I decided on My Doctor's Inn for my father who has moderate dementia. While no place is perfect, as I know from experience, this place comes very close. The staff is always friendly and kind, the building is so nice and homey and I feel at peace knowing my dad is well cared for. He is participating in activities, going out for lunch at times, and is able to have all of his needs met...haircuts, doctor visits, dental visits, etc. I feel blessed to have found this place where my dad is content and happy. I know how hard these caregivers work, and I appreciate and am grateful that there are people willing to care for our loved ones the way that they do.

My Mom has been at Doctor's Inn for 5 years now - she will be 100 years old in November. There are so many good things to say about Doctor's Inn. From the minute she joined as a resident there - everyone was so kind, understanding and helpful in the transition- not only for my Mom- but for us, her family. If you are reading this then you know this is not an easy decision, but I can assure you that our experience has been wonderful. My Mom's needs are met with great care, concern and promptness-- and of course with respect, kindness and love. The facility is beautiful and many activities and social events are hosted for the residents to enjoy. Knowing that my Mom is well taken care of, My Doctor's Inn has provided a sense of peace and security for me .

Our family looked at many other Assisted Living facilities before visiting My Doctors Inn. WOW! Nothing compared to what they have to offer. The facility checks the box on all of the physical requirements and care requirements you could possibly want and much much more. Main Street is awesome and unique and offers a sense of community you won’t find anywhere else. Everything they do here is centered on the resident, their needs and more. Their Life Enrichment Program is developed specifically to keep our loved one active mentally, physically and engaged with others. They also offer something intangible, a box you can’t define or check off. Something that can’t be trained. They care about the family members in a way one can’t explain. Their level of compassion is intuitive. The transition of our loved one into Assisted Living was difficult for all of us, it was sudden. A diagnosis of dementia doesn’t only effect our loved one, it effects all of us. It’s an unimaginable challenge and devastating diagnosis and the staff there gets that. I’ve cried many tears, been anxious about situations and needed help with things that in other circumstances would have been easy but now, I just couldn’t handle, and you know what? The staff has been there for me, for all of us, consoling us as we shed oceans of tears, offering hugs (I’m a hugger), and checking to make sure we are ok if we looked upset. They’ve talked to us about the disease and let us know we are not alone. They’ve helped us understand this devastating disease called dementia. They’ve treated our loved one with respect, compassion and kindness. They check on her regularly. To a person, TO A PERSON the staff gets it and has been supportive and caring. Our FAMILY has been “cared for” by dining staff, maintenance, cleaning staff, care friends, nursing, life enrichment, reception and administration, everyone, and is there above and beyond their job descriptions every single day. I can’t tell you how comfortable I feel having our loved one living at My Doctors Inn. I don’t live in Michigan now and I know I can return home without ANY misgivings knowing my loved one is in the best place she could possibly be being cared for by people who are caring and compassionate. If you are looking for a safe. loving and caring place for your loved one, I highly recommend My Doctors Inn!

My mother lived the last two years of her life at MDI and I have to say the staff and care there were exceptional. Most of the staff treated my Mom as if she were their own grandmother -- they were kind, considerate, compassionate and loving -- from the nursing staff to the care friends to the dietary staff. Despite her infirmities and dementia, they treated her with kindness, dignity, respect and love. I highly recommend MDI to anyone who wants their loved one to be well cared for.
