My mother-in-love is currently a guest. We came from Texas to see her and we were quite impressed. The staff was super sweet, offered overnight accommodations, came and checked on her often. They offered education to us with options for her care. The area she is in smelled good and was clean. I am happy for her, thank you for that.

Some of the staff are friendly here, and seem compassionate. The brief stay my mother had while at Hoyt Nursing was a decent one, however, upon her death everything changed. I realize the urgency for vacancy at this establishment, but within the hour of being notified of my mother’s passing, all of her stuff was packed up and placed in a back hallway; within an hour. Upon arriving to Hoyt Nursing, I was greeted with condolences and warmth by a few staff members, and they even helped load my vehicle. The ugly parts of death regarding legal red tape paper work I loved me speaking with the a terribly rude lady named Jessica in billing who answered no basic questions, gave no sense of direction of who should contact her to get the information that’s needed, and offered no warmth or condolences, AND THEN told me the establishment would still be billing insurance, even though my mother had been in the hospital for since the beginning of September; this is only adding on additional stress in discomfort.

The food is amazing. I had lunch with a family member and it was awesome! The staff was amazing. Very friendly. I met the kitchen mgr (Cassie I think her name is) and she was an absolute dream! She listened to my concerns and she validated them (which I appreciated more than you will ever know). I wish everyone I encountered there had this level of compassion for the residents there!

Hoyt nursing home is ran by a resilient and determined D.O.N. She’s consistently pushing boundaries with her admirable commitment to her goals , no matter the obstacles she faces . Her dedication shines through in every task she undertakes, demonstrating a tireless work ethic that inspires those around her. She’s a great woman and she worked very hard to get where she’s at . She works very hard Mon-Fri and sometimes weekends to show her dedication. She never missed a day . She never fails to interact with her patients . She makes sure she participates in all the actives as well as anything that involves her patients . I recommend Hoyt if you want your family genuinely cared for and loved by a family .

Mom stayed a short time and I couldn't always be there but I talked to the night cook because mom is a little difficult and she made sure she got everything all the time if I could've had more like her we would've never left

My aunt was there and she loved the smiling faces this place isn’t perfect by far but we have been to a few places since she is a frequent flyer and the staff is friendly anything I needed to get done someone made sure of it someone always went to the dr appointments when I couldn’t make it which made me feel safe. It didn’t have a bad smell which some places we have been to did ©. The food wasn’t half bad she is really picky but she ate it.I thought it was fine the three times I ate with her. Therapy was really good to her and when we were leaving, everyone made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Great dietary manager she goes above and beyond for her residents!! She makes sure they are fed, makes food specifically for them and makes sure that everyone has a meal according to how they like it!!

Mom had to go to rehab for a short stay The transition was so easy because she loved the food so much. She even stayed longer than anticipated because she couldn’t get over how delicious the food was. She said it was made with Gods hands. The staff was just amazing and the place was so very clean. I highly recommend Hoyt to any one who needs there loved one to have extra care.

This is the best place in Saginaw for my family we been to a few places and no one is perfect but this is one of the better ones the lady in charge handed all my needs and the food is great clean place the activities were good and the social workers were on top of everything we needed to get Grandma back home

Hoyt is a phenomenal facility with an amazing atmosphere. The dietary department goes above and beyond for the residents and the entirety of facility. This is because the Dietary manager has been with the company for over a decade and pours everything she has into the residents, her team. There is no place in the world that I'd rather have my loved one call home.

Thanks to all the nurses and Aids, and special shout out to tharapy Danielle and Ashley both were right there for me and motivated me everyday without them I probably wouldn't be walking, overall the therapy department did a great job thanks for helping me get my leg back to where I'm able to walk. How ever the meals or food need a lot of help, the people who serve the meals were great I just was disappointed in some of the meals I thought that they were a bit lacking overall thanks for everything. Also building had a heating issue was very cold first couple weeks I was there.

My mom lived at Hoyt for nine years and I was impressed with the love shown to her and the other residents. Hoyt is not perfect and I'm sure they know that.They do however try extremely hard and the staff takes on that challenge to offer exceptional care with a vigor seldom seen . I felt like family when I visited Mom and I continue to feel like family now. I was so impressed that I still volunteer there, seven years after Mom's passing.
