I love this place. From the personal care, to all the life enrichment activities. They have exercise classes that are always full, with caring, educational, and most of all, full of exciting people who love to laugh. The instructor Todd Ackerman has been instructing Senior Exercise for over 30 years. He brings warmth, medical exercise information, and help the seniors feel, wanted, needed, and most of all, loved. The food is great. The facility is clean and inviting. The management team is outstanding in their field. One of the best places, not only in Petoskey, but in the entire state of Michigan and beyond!!! 5 Star!!!

EVERYONE at Independence Village is so caring and responsive to their residents needs. My father was a resident for the last two years of his life and the entire staff was so helpful and kind every single day. My father felt safe and happy . Their guidance through his passing made the entire experience so much easier than I ever imagined. Our family is so grateful for their caring and dedication. Thank you all.

Mom and Dad (Dick and Jackie) are staying here while Mom recouperates. Everyone is SO nice, genuinely caring, helpful, kind and warm. Judy even asked if we could sing some a cappella things after Charlie played the piano. We obliged and fun was had by all. And by the way, the food is GREAT ) compliments to chef Mike!) and there are always things to do. No wonder Independence Village is so highly awarded.

Since coming to Independence Village 15 months ago, I have experienced a wide range of assistance. Following surgery and complications, I needed help morning and night. Now I again live independently and can enjoy all the activities here; exercise classes, cards, music programs and outings. The residents and staff are so friendly and helpful. Also the meals are varied and delicious!

My daughters father-in-law lived here for four years before I came here to live. She knew this would be an ideal place for me. I have lived here 7 years now and love every minute of it with all the friendship and always something to do if one wishes.

Great place for your loved one, lots of activities to enjoy, greatentertainment and a shuttle bus to take you to your appointments or shopping. There is a library, hair salon, chapel all in the building. Beautiful views and wonderful caring staff to take care of you.

This is a great place to live. Wonderful dinners and the town is great. I just wish you had more than 1 washer and dryer at each end of the halls.

I have been comfortable since my husband and I moved here about 6 years ago. The building is clean, the meals are nutritious, staff and residents are friendly and kind. The hospice care my husband received here was comforting and just what he needed.

Great place to work. I have been a weekend receptionist for all most a year and have enjoyed every minute of it. The Village has a great team of employees and the residents are amazing. There are numerous activities each day, shuttle for transportation and special events throughout each month. The residents make you feel welcome and treat you like family.

This a wonderful place. The residents and the staff are so engaging and welcoming. I provided a drum circle there last year and have just been invited back to conduct a Cardio Drumming activity for next month on May 29th to honor National Senior Fitness Day. This senior community totally understands how important it is to stay active. Their schedule is filled with continuous engaging activities. What a great place!

Great place to work and for your loved ones. My grandmother lived here until she passed and received great care and made tons of friends. The social calendar of the residents is better than many socialites! Food is wonderful and the staff loves everyone like family. The grounds are incredible!

I like the independence living here provides me. I have made real friends living here. Some of the people that work here are unbelievable. The Residents Assistance are top notch. Many have been here 8-9 years and really seem to love it. People work with each other. They want to please the residents and their attitudes are beautiful.

The staff are great, the people who live and work here are great. They are honest and fascinating people and we have great conversations together. The food is excellent! I could not cook that well. Living here I am expanding my culinary delights. The dining atmosphere is wonderful and peaceful.

She takes such pride in her work and the service she provides to residents. Shes constantly striving to make the experience there a better one than it already is. Independence Village Petoskey is a wonderful place for mom and dad. The staff greets each resident by name, and treats them like family. The Aides are respectful, and diligent. The whole building as a team works together to provide the best care, no matter what department !
