I had the pleasure of working with Ryan & his professional staff for almost a year. They helped anyway they could & were very understanding to my needs. I had been hospitalized several times in 2022. The social worker at the hospital got me in touch with In Home Companions. I was treated with dignity & understanding. I definitely recommend this company, & will not hesitate to use them in the future should the need arise .

One of the most important things in finding care for a loved one is finding someone who is a "good fit" for them. Someone they can easily interact with & who has their best interests at heart. Ryan & Meagan at In Home Companions go out of their way to make sure that happens. There is no swinging door of different people every day. We've had people that actually care for our Mother & aren't just there for the paycheck as so many are these days. I would highly recommend their company when the occasion arises that you need help.

A Place for Mom recommended In Home Companions to help me care for my 82 year old dad. My mom had just passed away and dad couldnt take care of himself. He lost 60 pounds and was unconsolably depressed. Under Ryans management, his staff provided everything I was looking for: someone to take care of household things like laundry, cooking, and light cleaning; help with grocery shopping; going for short outings; and company too. That was very important. Under Ryans care, dads mood improved and he gained 20 pounds. There is NO ONE I would recommend more than In Home Companions to take care of the people you love! I cant say enough positive things about the experience!

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Shout out Ryan and his excellent staff of caregivers regularly assigned to look after my mother at Hope Woods in Kalamazoo. Ryan has also worked well with us to accommodate changing needs without drama, and hes always responsive. Though my home town, I live 1000 miles away and its very reassuring to have somebody there for her. And my mother is very happy too!

I crossed paths with Ryan (In Home Companion) as a result of pure desperation. My father unexpectedly had a stroke which left him with left side paralysis. I live two hours away and cant provide the care he needs. Not wanting to put him in an assisted living facility, I tried it all. I started off with trying to hire home caregivers independently, only to find that they either never showed up or did not have experience working with bed bound patients. I then was connected with an agency and thought this would be the answer to my prayers. This resulted in a nightmare as the company would call me at least three times a week cancelling their shift leaving my father without care. I was referred to Ryan (In Home Companion) by a support-care resource group. Ryan and I talked for about an hour on a Saturday morning and I immediately felt a connection and a sincere desire to want to help families ease their burden. That Monday the other company was let go and In Home Companion was hired. In Home Companion provides care for my father seven days per week. In the four months that we have been working with them we have never experienced a shift where my dad was not cared for. What I appreciate is that we have a consistent rotation of caregivers who take REALLY GREAT care of my dad. They not only provide him with the care that he needs, they also go the extra step and do crafts with him, massage his hands, and make sure that he is upbeat and exercising! This is very important as I live two hours away so In Home Companion is what makes this equation work and keeps my dad at home and not in facility. As a person who has now come full circle on this caregiving roller coaster, I cant say how enough about how Awesome In Home Companion is!!

In Home Companions are wonderful to work with! They are very accommodating with our 84 year old mother. Our home health care assistant Deb is awesome with our mom! My family and I feel very confident when Deb is there! I would recommend them to everyone! Ryan the owner is wonderful to work with as well!

The ambiance of professionalism and realism IHC has is at Grand altitude. From the owners being some of the most down to earth characters to the clients being flexible to work with. Based in Hope Woods community living, while having clients in the surrounding area of Kalamazoo-Battlecreek, to my knowledge theyre breeding a class act of Caregivers with helping hands from the heart.

Positive: Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Home Companion has gave us peace of mind and a great help with Mom! She loves them and we know her needs are met. There App is so easy to use and we can check out the events and notes each day! She loves her caregiver and her health and well being have improved. Best thing we could have done for her. They do numerous things to meet her needs. The owner cares and is personally involved. Home Companions made it possible for Mom to stay in her home. They met with us and discussed every aspect of her care. We are so grateful for them.

Five stars are not enough. Ryan is thorough about making sure the home care provider is a superb fit for the person needing help, and everyone at In-Home Companions is outstanding. I have also been told by the caregivers how much they enjoy working there and feel valued. When In-Home Companions was recommended to me, I was not sure what to expect; I had an idea what services my mother should have but had only had discussions with PT and OT, not home care. Ryan was knowledgeable and patient with my questions. We started with basic cooking, cleaning, and companionship, communicating through the secure website to find out how my mothers day went and passing along any messages to the home care team. After a couple falls, she needed more care, including last-minute requests for overnights per her doctors orders. Ryan has gone above and beyond anything I could possibly have anticipated to make sure our needs have been met. He has been a lifeline on more than one occasion when I was ready to pull my hair out. My mothers caregiver, Cinder, is someone we call her guardian angel. Cinder has seen my mother through better and worse with love and patience. She is remarkable. I dont throw around the word blessed lightly, but I feel truly blessed to have Ryan and Cinder in our lives. Anyone needing care for their loved one should call In-Home Companions and trust Ryan and his amazing people to give the best.
