I am currently a resident of Intersect Healthcare and the care I receive from all of the staff here is exceptional. I was at two other facilities before coming here and there is no comparison. Those two facilities didn't hold a candle to Intersect. The food is excellent and if they make a mistake with your order, the head of dietary will come and personally apologize and make it right. I love that the Administrator doesn't sit in his office all day. Here Mike comes down the hall and always says "Good morning ladies" to my roommate and I. Also if you have any concerns, you can tell Mike and it is taken care of. To sum it all up, when you come to Intersect, you become a part of the family!

I have been here for about 3 weeks and all you hear never change on timeis excuses you can't get your medication on time if you have to go through any kind of V.A.C.Therapy please go somewhere else

I can't say enough great things about Mission Point. They have long term, short term rehab, and even assisted living. The staff are all so caring. The facility is so beautiful. I would highly recommend it to all my friends and family. I love how they even give tours to family considering placing their loved ones there.

The amount of care that our team puts into the residents is amazing. The staff is always on top of ensuring the residents are comfortable and put every effort in to finding out how to ensure the resident is pleased. They can't please everyone, but they exhaust every effort to try!

I am currently completing my internship here for speech therapy. The building far exceeds my expectations and prior conceptions of skilled nursing/long term care facilities. The building is kept clean, as I see many staff cleaning everyday to keep up with the odds and ends of the building. When accidents happen, there is someone to help/clean as soon as possible. There are many activities for the residents to participate in and cultivate community here. The kitchen staff is helpful to nursing/therapy to create an enjoyful dining experience. They have an inclusive menu and always try to provide a variety of options. The nursing staff is prompt with providing care and truly care for the well being of the residents. The therapy staff is amazing to work with, as I have been granted the privilege to learn from knowledgeable physical/occupational/speech therapists. They work diligently at motivating and assisting residents to reach their goals. I would recommend Mission Point to anyone looking for internships/careers and most importantly would recommend my family to come here for care.

I can see why this place gets poor reviews. I've only been here for 3 and I was ready to go home on the 2nd day. They are extremely friendly and act like they want to help, but then things fall through the cracks from shift to shift. I've had to kinda feel my way around by asking lots of questions about how things operate here because nobody would take the time to explain it to me. Even the "welcome packet" was primarily about the the legal stuff. They mentioned a lot of rules and stuff, like laundry, the cost, activities center, etc. But nothing about when the meals are, how to order them, or anything. Yesterday, I guess I made a mistake and waited until 6pm to check on my dinner, and the response was, "I'll go see if they have anything left ". WTH?? My biggest complaint is the lack of medication. I've gone 2 nights in a row without ANY of my evening meds. They blame it in day shift, doctor, etc. But since they don't have a pharmacy , all of the meds are delivered from Grand Rapids. Seriously?? So, even if everything went smoothly, if the meds actually showed up, it wouldn't arrive until 2-3 in the morning. And, if anything is lacking, again they blame it on someone else. I can't wait to get out of here and hope I never have to come back. I'm in temporary rehab by the way.

I have been employed at Mission Point of Jackson for almost a year. I started as a PRN therapist, meaning I only worked occasionally. After a few times working, I quickly jumped on the full time Speech Therapist position and have quickly transitioned to the Director of Rehab. I have worked at a lot of nursing homes in my 13 years as an SLP and I can honestly say Mission Point is the best one I've ever worked at. Our laundry and housekeeping departments do an amazing job of keeping the facility clean and free of clutter for all residents and visitors. Our nurses and CNAs are top notch and truly care about our residents and provide the kind of care you would want your loved one to receive. Our dietary aides and cooks are truly remarkable. The food is delicious and they always go above and beyond in the service they provide. Our therapy department is one of a kind. We have so many skilled providers that have vast knowledge in so many areas it is amazing to see the things they can do for our rehab and long term residents. I truly have never worked with a harder working and more caring group of people than I do at Mission Point. I can honestly say, if my loved one needed rehab, this is the only place I would consider sending them in Jackson County.

My husband had rehab here after being very sick in the hospital and our experience here was awesome! From the nurses, Cenas, Therapy people, Dietary/kitchen help, and doctor, everyone went out of their way to make my husband comfortable and feel welcomed. They worked with him, took care of him when he had problems. I loved the way they all did their best and always asked if there was anything we needed. I love that you could joke around with them. These people work hard and we felt they should be recognized for all they did. I would recommend any of my family or friends to come here. Thank you Mission Point, for hiring people who are dedicated to their careers and who want the best for the people who come here. If I left out anybody who helped my husband, I apologize.

I love my job caring for the elderly. Everyday is a new day with them. It can be challenging sometimes but all in all we have a lot of fun at the facility. Sometimes it can be the hardest job but the most awarding job in life! Just to put a smile on their face everyday makes my day. Just remember some day we will be in their shoes. So when you see a senior person, pay it forward and please help them. We will need help some day! We need more love in the world! If we all are kind and loving the world would be a better place! I love my activity department! We rock!

This place gets a lot of negative reviews (and now, negative press) However, someone has to talk about the positive side. 1.) Good social and cultural environment 2.) fun activities during the week 3.) great resident community 4.) Hard working employees that do their best 5.) minimal mandating our employees I have watched other people learn to walk again. I've seen people learn to live independently after being bedridden. I've seen people talk after being unresponsive. I'm not sure who is stronger our Mission point therapy team or our residents, but - I've never smiled so much in my life watching these people transform themselves. It's a privilege. I have watched people form meaningful relationships with others and come back after discharge to see them again. I've seen people become so loyal to Mission point that they won't go anywhere else. Most importantly folks, as I've witnessed time and time again, Mission Point changes lives. It's different from Allegra or countryside, as our residents are well taken care of. It's better than other jackson facilities, no doubt about that. This is my first time having to be in a rehab facility. And I found it to be clean and ready for me when I arrived. Admissions came in a explained what to expect and what the plan was for my care. Therapy also came in and was so nice and explained what care I would receive while here also. All of the staff has all been so nice, caring. The food is great. I would highly recommend Mission Point Jackson to all my friends and family.

This is my third time here. I feel like the staff is going out of their way to make me feel safe and welcomed here. My room was very clean and welcoming. Very helpful and caring staff throughout each department. Its hard to find a place that has all of the right combinations in the same place. I think its wonderful to have all the staff on the same page too. I feel confident that whatever therapy gives me I will do great to gain my strength to return home as I have in the past. I am a CNA at this facility and I am thrilled to be working with a wonderful group of people! I've been working here for 10.5 years. Yes, there is slightly negative areas, but its always a work in progress. Let me tell you all about my favorite place to work! Our therapy department are miracle workers....I have seen so many miracles! The activities department have giant hearts. They put a lot of laughter and enjoyment into our building and some tasty treats too! Our food service department have the best cooks and dietary aides, they are always cooking something delicious or just being helpful! Our housekeeping and laundry team is always making our building clean and smelling good. Our nurses and cnas are always there for all the patients well being. We are there on the hardest days with lots of love, comfort and a helpful hand. Our management team is always a hard working bunch....they do so much to keep us going! I just wanted to tell all my co-workers.....THANK YOU for being a wonderful dream team!

I have been employed with Mission Point Healthcare Campus of Jackson since March of this year. I have to say I have been very impressed with the family like atmosphere that resonates throughout campus. The building itself is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Every where you look you will find compassionate and caring individuals who are dedicated to making the lives of our Residents better. This compassion starts in the kitchen with talented Chefs that serve homemade food daily. The compassion continues with the Nursing staff, Therapists, Housekeepers, and goes on and on. Our Activity department is very personable and plans fun activities for the Residents to participate daily. Some of the fun activities include bingo, shopping outings, and themed parties, Last but not least, we have trained professionals such as Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians that are available and present in our facility 5 days a week to meet the needs of our Residents. Amongst these challenging staffing crisis's that our Nation is experiencing, I truly feel that we do a great job making sure our Residents get the best care possible. I am very happy to be apart of this small Mission Point family.

My mom had open heart sugery and needed rehab. Most of the nurses were nice but the room smelled like urine. She would push the call button and sometimes it was 30 minutes before someone would come. Only reason they are getting 2 stars are the rehab therapists seemed good. Got her out of there due to covid cases in the place.
