My mom has been at Addington Place for about a year and a half. We have been very happy with the care she has received there. The staff are very friendly and caring. There are many activities to keep the residents busy. They have Bingo, crafts, movies and entertainment. Both of the heads of nursing ,Brittany and Jasmine, have shown great care for my mom. We have also been pleased with care from the med techs, care givers and kitchen staff. Addington has been an overall good experience for us.

Our family placed our 99 year old relative in Addington of Clarkston for a period of two months for rehab/recovery. Addington Place of Clarkston was chosen by us from many positive reviews for providing excellent care and peace of mind for our family member. Let me say that, indeed, they went out of their way to provide just that and more! Friendly faces, tremendous staff at EVERY level and sympathetic care relieved our minds at a difficult time for all of us. Cost, varied and nutritious meals, cleanliness, activities and particularly the staff were there for us every day! We highly recommend them and would not hesitate ever to place a family member there for care!

My Mom lived here for almost three years. Addington Place is all about the money, always looking for ways to raise fees. Weekends are the worst, short staffed or agency people and lack of care. They did have some Excellent staff members Like Joyce, Kim, Diamond, Angel, and Nurse Brittany, and Director Maggie, but the past Director Tina was terrible. I went everyday so I know what goes on more so than some people who worked there, as I talked to the people who live here. I will say that they had a couple staff members that there is a special place in Hell as they are sadistic and or Lazy. I really want to say their names, but will show restraint. I waited a few months before writing this as I did not want to say anything in poor taste. I will say anyone bringing in a new family member to try and get a two year deal as I had the rates increase of $761.00 in one year and close to $500. the next year. At the end of my Mom's Life they did show her respect which made me happy. There were some good times like the Christmas Party, and Happy Hour and entertainment but food is sub par and many times run out of food items that did not make their truck.

Our 99-year-old mother is a resident of Addington Place of Clarkston. She told us that since she can no longer live at home, this is the next best place to live. The caring staff at Addington place take excellent care of her and the other residents. Although she is currently the oldest resident, everyone we meet there seems happy. Our mother likes the fact that she can have her own furniture in her room, and she thinks the food is delicious. On the rare occasion when she doesn’t like what is on the menu, she has several extra choices. We chose Addington Place because we were impressed with the wide range of activities available for residents. There are age-appropriate exercise activities, craft activities, movies, cooking demonstrations, weekly happy hour, bingo, and frequent visiting entertainers and presenters (including therapy dogs and other animals). Residents are taken on outings in the bus to places like the county fair and the Pine Knob Christmas light display. Addington has a dedicated physical therapy room, enabling residents to receive physical therapy without leaving the facility. In addition, residents can receive services from a visiting hairdresser, podiatrist, manicurist, general practitioner, or dentist if needed. There are two nurses on staff along with medical assistants. They and the management have worked with our family to adjust the care that our mother has received as her needs have changed in the last two years. Addington Place is in a wooded area, allowing residents to enjoy viewing wildlife from the patios in warm weather and through the large windows otherwise. Our mother is content with her experience at Addington Place, and her family is happy with the care she is receiving. We cheerfully recommend Addington Place of Clarkston for the care of your elderly family member.

Our family just spent two wonderful days visiting my aunt at Addington Place, and we couldn't be more impressed. We brought a crew of six people, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate us. The logistics were also seamless thanks to Maggie, Natalie, and Alandra. They helped us reserve the theater room for a private family movie night to watch The Wild Robot, which was a huge highlight. We spent our visit telling stories, eating great food, and making artwork together. A special shout-out to Mariven in Physical Therapy”she has been absolutely awesome with my aunt. It’s so reassuring to see such high-quality, professional care being delivered with a personal touch. It’s a warm, caring environment and we’re so grateful for the peace of mind they provide. Highly recommend!

My father was a resident at Addington Place of Clarkston (APC) until January, when he passed away at the age of 99. Dad enjoyed being a resident at APC. When he moved in, at the tail end of the COVID pandemic, staff turnover was very high, and temporary workers were often hired in. APC changed ownership 3 times after my dad moved in. I had seriously considered moving my dad into a small group home for better care because of the inconsistent care at that time. But I had a conversation with the staff RN, who suggested getting him into hospice care, and that made a big improvement. Fortunately, many of the experienced staff stayed on through the changes in ownership. Things have improved greatly under current management. Temporary workers are no longer hired to cover staff shortages. Most caregivers have years of experience and a lot of attention is paid to training new staff. The staff loved my dad and he enjoyed interacting with them. He liked to sing and dance and tell jokes, and the staff would often sing and dance with him. Dad was always happy to see them. Every one treated dad like he was special, even management. And it showed - he was almost always happy, never complained, enjoyed the meals, especially the fresh food made by the new chef. My dad was loved and cared for here. The staff remember him fondly, sometimes with tears, but more often with laughter.

This place came recommended by A place for mom and I'm so grateful to have found it. My sister and I had been trying to find a facility that provided the level of care and patience needed for our mother. We had had tried a few places that didn't work out well and were starting to lose hope. She has dementia, requires a lot of physical assistance with day to day activities, and had just lost her husband/our father. She had gotten to the point where she barely ate, was pulling out her hair, and was in a constant state of panic and distress. She was in and out of hospitals and rehab facilities with low platelets and they couldn't seem to keep them stable for longer than a few weeks. We finally found Addington and moved her in November 5th. The patience and compassion that has been given to her has been such a huge relief. Her mental state has improved exponentially. After being there for less than three months, her hair has grown back, she's eating full meals again, her platelets and overall health is stable. She's made friends and is happy and calm every time I go over there. It's a clean facility with good food and lots of activities. But most importantly the workers are very patient and kind. Of all the facilities she's been in, this is the first one where the workers were able to gain her trust and give her that ease of mind.

My father lived here for approximately 3 years. Overall he received good care there--certain individuals were great. This was during pandemic times, so it is hard to compare to other facilities given the circumstances. Pros: New management did a lot more to engage the residents. Whole facility received a needed update in 2023--looks great! Cons: Food could have been better. There is hardly anyone working there on the weekends, which has been a fairly consistent problem. Be warned-- we found out after my father passed away that he signed some sort of contract without our knowledge, that basically required the family to continue to pay Addington for an entire 2 weeks after he was gone-- an unbelievable money grab! A despicable way to kick families when they are down, and should be a criminal offense in my opinion.

Moving Mom here was so difficult for Mom and family, but the staff have been so caring and attentive. Mom is enjoying her time there”about two months now”and our initial angst is gone. Kind, friendly and respectful caregivers make Mom feel very safe and welcome, and she has made new friends, doing activities she would not otherwise have been doing. No complaints about the meals, either. She likes it there! So glad Autumn Ridge was recommended to us...

Outstanding Support! As a chaplain who has visited the Autumn Ridge Assisted Living patrons, please believe me when I say their support is "TOP BOX." I have visited a number of facilities in the Southeast Michigan area and there are few others who nurture their residents as their staff does. Jordan, Gail, Josie, and a number of other staff work together to create an atmosphere of inclusion where residents thrive. If you have a loved one who is looking for a place to live a vibrant lifestyle or needs support to help them to thrive. Autumn Ridge is the place! Minister Chris

Took a tour last week and came back in today to follow up. I am so impressed with Autumn Ridge staff!! Every person I passed greeted me with a smile and offer of direction. The folks I met with - Gail, DeNiece, Alex, and Mike, were incredibly helpful, patient and kind (even willing to repeat info as needed)! A few of the residents agreed to talk and told me how much they loved it here. Issues are addressed quickly and suggestions are implemented well. They said about the staff, You can tell they really care.

As they say, there's no place like home but, Autumn Ridge provided a very caring, loving environment for my mother-in-law (Norma). She was not able to walk after her fall and life became a huge challenge. We Thank God that we found Autumn Ridge and we're grateful they welcomed her with open arms. Eventually, toward Norma’s final months we put her in the care of hospice. That was probably one of the best decisions we could have made, not only for her, but us as well. The communication was outstanding. We live in Fla. so were unable to physical be there. Her nurse, Lucy Noble was a God send, she faithfully called us every week to keep us informed on all aspects of Norma’s care. Between Lucy, the minister, Christella and care givers Tanya & Jordan, Norma had an additional layer of care. We were very comfortable knowing Norma was safe and secure and if any issues came up we were notified immediately. We honestly feel that Norm’s care was outstanding and we would highly recommend Autumn Ridge to anyone in need of assisted living. It’s a tough decision and we hope this recommendation helps. God Bless and good luck to all.

Our brother has been a resident of Autumn Ridge for 8 years. One would think he would want to leave. Not on your life!!!! He loves it there and we are enormously grateful to the staff for creating such a warm, loving, and safe environment for him. Given that he has a wide range of needs, quite a number of health issues, and a tendency to become quite anxious, we knew it would not be easy for him to adjust to assisted living. How pleased we are that his long stay in this facility has become one of our greatest blessings. First of all, the place is immaculately clean all the time. Despite his lack of personal hygiene skills and tidiness, all of the spaces are spit spot each time we come which has been biweekly for 8 years. Any issues of cleanliness are dealt with immediately. Secondly, the wellness staff is right on top of things that require attention and they communicate with us and his in house doctor seamlessly. As he requires many medications and some periodic monitoring they are always watching and notifying us if they suspect a problem. When services need to be altered, they are a wealth of information about resources available to us. Third, the building is extremely well maintained. The heat, air, lights, plumbing etc are always working. Our brother has never known discomfort from malfunctioning equipment. Even his TV clicker batteries are replaced!! Fourth, the food is very very good. He has put on a lot of weight while living there. The staff has to discourage him from eating so much. Fifth, the employees at Autumn Ridge are truly the best, from the top to the bottom. They are warm, sensitive, caring and above all, very experienced in handling the day to day needs of those who cannot care for themselves. The caregivers are fantastic, the activities girls cook up lots of fun activities and even the maintenance guys join in treating the residents like family. So many staff members there work to make the environment "homey" and their efforts are successful. We continue to be amazed at the unending displays of perpetual patience and thoughtfulness. We count ourselves very lucky to have found this place for our brother. You won't find better anywhere.

My Grandma was at another assisted living center that did absolutely nothing with their residents. I was skeptical when she moved to Autumn Ridge. I have been won over. It is wonderful to know her medical and personal needs are being taken care of with respect. Everyone who works here care about the residents and my Grandma feels well taken care of here. She appreciates the opportunity to go on outings and enjoys the restraunt quality and atmosphere of the dining experience.

After having a poor experience with my grandma at another assisted living I am relieved and overjoyed at how amazing Autumn Ridge has been for her. The staff at Autumn Ridge is very accommodating, and gets to personally know each resident. The dining facility is wonderful and the dining staff even know what her favorite salad dressing is, as well as her other food preferences. The facility is always clean and well kept. Autumn Ridge provides outings and different recreational activities throughout the week to help keep the residents busy and stimulated. I would recommend this assisted living to anyone who is looking for a place for any of their family members.

My mother in law's condition began requiring more care than we were able to provide for her in our home. After much family discussion and searching, we decided to place her at Autumn Ridge of Clarkston. The staff couldn't have been nicer. They treated her like their own family. My MIL made many friends, attended all the activities and seemed overall 'happier" than she'd been in years. Her medical condition eventually required the care of CNS hospice, and their additional care for Mom AND all the family members was more than we could have asked for. I can't begin to thank enough, the staff at Autumn Ridge of Clarkston, and CNS hospice.

My grandfather called Autumn Ridge home for nearly three years and I cannot say enough kind things about the quality of care they provided him. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. He loved the outings to local restaurants and all of the different activities that they offered on a daily basis. He was always telling us about his latest trip or showing us his latest project. But most importantly, the staff cared about him as a person and treated him with the utmost dignity and care. They viewed him as if he is a member of their own family.
