My family & stopped in to view the facility, as we entered, we were acknowledged and greeted with smiles right away. The environment was clean, fresh and bright. My sister has lived here almost a year. It has beautiful dining area with great staff. They have lots of activities for residents, a hair salon, nail salon, bingo, happy hour, etc. Walking distance to shopping and a bus service.

The first thing I would like to say about Independence Village is that the residents make working here pure Joy. They are like a second family. I wanted to work here so badly that I applied 3 times. It was the Best decision I've ever made. When a business says they put their employees first, Independence Village Means it! I am more than grateful for the love and support my family and I recently received from the staff and fellow employees during a very difficult time in our lives. It was above and beyond anything I have ever seen or experienced. When they say "Family First", they mean it! I love everything about being here. The residents have so many life experiences that they enjoy sharing, I learn so much from them. The activities they have keep the residents busy and fulfilled. I also love seeing the pets that live here, they are our "Mascots", and they are Loved by everyone. Their meals are 5 stars by a wonderful chef and kitchen staff, amazing! This is a such an inviting, warm, comfortable, friendly place to live and to work. Anyone who works or lives here is very lucky!

I had the Mother’s Day brunch with my mother yesterday. I met the Chef, Amy, and I have to tell you, the taste, presentation and preparation of all the food was AWESOME! Amy visited every table to make sure everything was just perfect. You certainly would not know that you were eating in an assisted living facility. IV celebrates every occasion with a beautiful array of delectable food - and Chef Amy is the one behind this. When the need arises, this is where I want to live! They have so much fun!

The staff members were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were top-notch. One thing that stood out to me was the cleanliness of the community. Everything was spotless, and you could tell that the staff took great care in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the residents. The apartments themselves were spacious and well-appointed, with plenty of natural light and comfortable furnishings. Perhaps most importantly, though, was the sense of community that I felt while I was there. The residents all seemed happy and engaged, and there were plenty of activities and events going on that brought everyone together. Overall, I would highly recommend Independence Village of Grand Ledge to anyone looking for a welcoming, comfortable, and engaging senior living community. The staff and residents alike are wonderful, and the communites are truly top-notch.

This is a great place to be the resident staff is Always willing to help and be there anytime someone needs them and if the person You talk to can't help you they will find someone who can. They want us to have the Good life. They will make sure you have as many of your needs that they can are met somehow. One thing that is fascinating to me is how they know everybody's name and at least 1 thing that makes that resident special. They seem to as much as possible have an open door policy and always will say hi. The food here is beyond great,healthy and delicious the Chefs put in alot of time and thought into all meals. They are delicious unique and different when they can. They are served with a great wait staff. Yes the dining rooms are restaurant style and the staff may be young to us but they try to make sure everyone's is happy and full when done with a meal. The people that live here almost all look like family.

Independence Village of Grand Ledge is the perfect home if you want to be surrounded by people who care. Employees are always smiling, patient, friendly, and ready to help whenever possible. Residents are welcoming, pleasant, and always looking to share their stories and connect with people. An array of activities are held every day and there will always be someone around to chat with, do puzzles with, watch movies, or to relax on the porch with. Whatever you need, there'll always be someone there.

Mom moved to Grand Ledge about 5 months ago. We knew that it was going to be a financial struggle. It's very expensive, but with the promise of gourmet food, the help she needs, and the socialization possibilities, it was the best choice for her. Since moving in, there has been a revolving door of culinary employees. The food is awful. By the time she gets dinner, it's old and cold. "Breakfast" is scarce and the food is very limited for a diabetic. Now she is having to buy groceries that were not budgeted for and cook her own meals. For the monthly rent she pays, food should never be an issue.
