The first thing I would like to say about Independence Village is that the residents make working here pure Joy. They are like a second family. I wanted to work here so badly that I applied 3 times. It was the Best decision I've ever made. When a business says they put their employees first, Independence Village Means it! I am more than grateful for the love and support my family and I recently received from the staff and fellow employees during a very difficult time in our lives. It was above and beyond anything I have ever seen or experienced. When they say "Family First", they mean it! I love everything about being here. The residents have so many life experiences that they enjoy sharing, I learn so much from them. The activities they have keep the residents busy and fulfilled. I also love seeing the pets that live here, they are our "Mascots", and they are Loved by everyone. Their meals are 5 stars by a wonderful chef and kitchen staff, amazing! This is a such an inviting, warm, comfortable, friendly place to live and to work. Anyone who works or lives here is very lucky!

The staff members were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were top-notch. One thing that stood out to me was the cleanliness of the community. Everything was spotless, and you could tell that the staff took great care in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the residents. The apartments themselves were spacious and well-appointed, with plenty of natural light and comfortable furnishings. Perhaps most importantly, though, was the sense of community that I felt while I was there. The residents all seemed happy and engaged, and there were plenty of activities and events going on that brought everyone together. Overall, I would highly recommend Independence Village of Grand Ledge to anyone looking for a welcoming, comfortable, and engaging senior living community. The staff and residents alike are wonderful, and the communites are truly top-notch.

Ive only worked there a short time, but its clear to see that the staff at this community care a great deal for the overall health and happiness of our residents. The companys employee first approach really appears to have attracted some of the best in the business to this location. As I said Ive only been there for about six months, but the residents are fantastic, and so well cared for its really been a wonderful experience. I wish I had known about it for my own family. Five stars.

I have had the privilege of working at Independence Village and StoryPoint of Grand Ledge going on two years and it has been an amazing experience. Out staff and residents embrace each other like family and during the past year of this pandemic that close knit feeling has been so important. The culinary team does an outstanding job and their are so many meaningful connections with activities on a daily basis. The care residents receive is from the heart and I wouldnt hesitate to have my family live and thrive here.

My mother in law Carol Fox lived there before her passing. The care staff are amazing. They took such good care of her. We checked out many other places and feel we made the best decision. And there food is awesome.

The staff and the atmosphere make you feel right at home from the very beginning. I would definitely recommend Independence Village if you considering s senior community for yourself or a loved one.

If there is an opportunity to work here You should definitely 100% take it. I worked here about 3 years ago and I just recently came back and Im glad I did. My Boss (Chef Amy) is great and is one of the best bosses Ive ever had.

Ive been working here for the past 2 years and the Chefs (Bosses) are really nice. They pay minimum wage for minors, but they give you good hours and they are really flexible with your hours. Work hard and youll be on everyones good list.

If youre looking for applying, I recommend! Management is wonderful and I couldnt be happier. In terms of residents, I have a bit of experience in assisted living and nursing homes and this is the first one Id actually feel comfortable being a home for them.

Independence Village of Grand Ledge is the perfect home if you want to be surrounded by people who care. Employees are always smiling, patient, friendly, and ready to help whenever possible. Residents are welcoming, pleasant, and always looking to share their stories and connect with people. An array of activities are held every day and there will always be someone around to chat with, do puzzles with, watch movies, or to relax on the porch with. Whatever you need, therell always be someone there.

I have been working at Independence Village of Grand Ledge for a little over six months now, and I have absolutely loved every minute of it. This is a great company to work for, and its especially wonderful that the companys management cares deeply about the happiness and well-being of both the residents and employees here. I love getting to spend time with the residents every day, and the job is never boring. This is by far the best job Ive ever had!

Independence Village is not only a wonderful community to live at, but a wonderful place to work. Residents and staff seem like family. There are several activities that residents can participate in including bingo, Euchre, and many more. We also offer special events such as cookouts, or themed dinners (recently our Titanic Dinner). Give us a call to set up a tour! This is the BEST community to live (and work)!

The wellness director here is amazing I know her personally and she takes her job very personally and treats each one of her residents as if they were her Grandparents. She has been in this field for many years with a lot of schooling to further her career. She loves educating and setting an example for her peers. I have heard nothing but great things about this place.

I have had a great time working here, I have been here for three years and I can not wait for many more. The staff are wonderful and they are great with the Residents, the residents are awesome and I love seeing them everyday, hearing the stories they have to tell ( and there are many ) and pictures of when they were young, they also love hearing about our lives and love seeing pictures of our kids and grand kids, the residents are not LIKE family to me they are my family.
