We recently moved my father into Curry House. We have been considering this move for over a year, and throughout the process the staff at Curry House have stayed in touch with me. They let me know when rooms were available, and just generally wanted updates on my dad's health and well being. Now that he is settled in I am even happier with our choice. The one-bedroom apartment he has is spacious enough to accommodate a nice little living area (loveseat, lift chair, TV, small table and chairs), an adjustable bed (we got a full, but queen would easily fit), dresser, night stand, etc. He even has a lovely patio that looks out on flower beds and natural beauty. The staff are amazing. My dad needs help with showering and dressing, and someone to monitor his medicine. Curry House staff do all of that very well. He gets reminded of meals, or other activities, and staff really seem friendly. Meals are served three times a day, and the food as reasonable variety. For our family it was important that he be able to eat with other people for the social aspect, but if he is tired he can decline going to meals and they will bring him a tray to his room. Overall, I would highly recommend Curry House if you have a family member that needs great care.

My parents, Doug and Shirley, were both at Curry House. They moved into Curry House each experiencing several medical needs and were met with compassionionate care and kindness. We walked through each of their hospice journeys at Curry House and the staff and management went above and beyond to make this road as easy as possible. In the time that they were there, they came to look upon many of the staff and other residents like family, as do I. If you or a family member are looking for compassionate care from a staff who treats you like family, Curry House is the place you are looking for!

I’m Shirley’s legal guardian and friend and I promised her husband I would take care of her. Even though her health has slipped we know she is getting the best care here. The staff is excellent. They call me and keep me informed of anything that is going on and what her needs are. Staff go out of their way and are excellent. Especially Suzette, Carla, Emily and Michelle. From start (Rae) through now (everyone) we have been pleased with everything and everyone. Thank you!

Not great drove 8 hours to see my grandmother twice in both times she was thoroughly bruised. They seem to have an aversion to fall monitors and the building is like one giant long hallway where it can take a long time for somebody to check on your loved ones.

Through a pandemic, Beckie Duncan and her staff at Curry House have remained steadfast and amazing! Providing exceptional care, activities, and always looking beyond! Beckie's experience first as a longtime CNA, staffing coordinator, and now as an executive director provide so much compassion, education, and knowledge to continually pass on to her staff and residents daily! The proof is in the smiles of everyone around the facility!

Beckie Duncan is the best administrator that I've ever had. She is willing to help in all departments and only wants to see her employees succeed. She is very involved with the residents and goes above and beyond all expectations. You won't find anyone better to run a facility.

Very nice community with assisted living and memory care. In the assisted living section there are several room options. Patio units have doors going outside to outdoor patio areas. One bedroom and studio apartments are available. Staff is friendly. My mom has been here for several years. There are lots of group activities and exercise class daily. It’s very clean and does not smell. Reaidents can order meals from a few choices each meal and the options rotate on a monthly basis. The price varies depending on the level of care needed.

Curry House Retirement home was immaculate. Employees made me feel right at home. Their three floor plans gave the residents a choice of how they desire to live. Overall, Beckey gave a thorough review of the property.

We love going to see mom. Staff is friendly and helpful. They deserve raises as I know dealing with dementia patients is a lot of work. We are lucky to have them.

This community is uncommonly cozy and caring. From the dedicated team members serving the residents, to a picturesque rural setting, this place is a jewel in Northern Michigan. Whether for Assisted Living or Memory Support, elders are loved here and each is well known by every team member.

We have worked closely with Curry house and the Cadillac Senior Center especially the last couple of years. Rae and the staff are awesome to work with. They have a wonderful facility as well as being very community minded. They have been very generous to "take it on the road" and bring lunch to the senior center about once a month. I have to give their CHEF Lori a big round of applause. She is absolutely amazing. Thanks Curry House!

I moved my wife into the Memory Unit at Curry House when I could no longer provide the level of care and safe environment that she needed. The staff at Curry House are extremely helpful and knowledgeable in assisting in making this difficult transition. They promptly respond with any questions we have. I, and my family, are pleased with the level of friendly, professional, service in all aspects of providing excellent care, compassion, and a safe facility.

This place is awesome. Rae really knows her job and goes wayout of her way to ensure the best service possible. My mom hasn't been this happy since my step dad passed away. The staff is very professional from the top to the maintenance person. The Cadillac community and elderly are truly blessed to have this business her. My mother went to Curry House 2 1/2 yrs ago after having permanent damage from a stroke and then damage from a broken hip. She always wanted to stay in her home, but after those issues she realized she couldn't. Thankfully due to the caring people at Curry she is happy there. When she needs any kind of help she just pushes her button and they are there in just a few minutes. When anyone asks her if she likes it there, she says yes, they take very good care of me.

My mom is a resident at Curry House. She has requested that I share the following comments: Hettie--ALWAYS willing to do the little extra things that she requests like straightening things on her table; Is Always so kind and helpful. And she knows exactly how I like my coffee! Shannon Miller--We laugh together most everyday that Shannon is here. I think she really likes what she does. Nina--She knows the same older hymns that I do and we sang "Heaven is a beautiful place"--She started and I joined in. She helps me a lot. Kali--Always kind and gentle. She helps to keep me calm when I have to move on that machine. Misty--I love her hair. She always asks if I need anything else and she comes back when she says she is going to! Krystal--Calls me Miss Judy. Always makes me smile. Wonderful. Baeliegh-- She makes sure I am comfortable in that bed before she leaves me. I really like her. Sierra--Always so friendly and always wants to make sure I am comfortable. Nicole--She is so sweet. Always has a smile when she comes in to help me.

Our decision to choose Curry House one year ago has been a good one. Helping a loved one transition to a new living situation late in life is difficult. You will find Rae Berwald to be a kind and caring guide. She is knowledgeable and thoughtful and wants what is best for your loved one. Betty is one of our go to caregivers who always goes the extra mile to solve a problem or understand a need. Every single staff member is dedicated to the important work they do. This is a warm and friendly place that takes the risks associated with Covid-19 seriously. They are determined to keep our loved ones safe and secure.

Nina Fields is beyond describing how she goes above and beyond her job description, to take care of residents at Curry House. Nina has been taking care of my sister at Curry House for almost 20 years. The love and care she gives her is outstanding. Not only does she show love and compassion to Cindy , but to her family as well. Curry House is honored to have such a wonderful caretaker in their employment. Other employees that have made a major contribution to Cindy's happiness and been exceedingly kind to her family members are: Shannon Miller - another outstanding aide at CH in Assisted Living. Kelly - an aide in Memory Care that used to be in Assisted Living. Crystal - night time aide at CH in Assisted Living. Cary Miller - Accountant at Curry House. Susan - Front desk receptionist in Assisted Living. Rae Berwald - Public relations and filled in as manager when last manager left. Mark - Transportation. So kind to Cindy and does so many extra special things for her when on outing and Doctor appointments. Lori Gallop - Food/cafeteria manager - has gone out of her way to address Cindy's food issues, and accommodate her diabetic needs. Mary - head of house cleaning. Does an excellent job of taking care of little cleaning needs that residents have. Valerie - Activities director - Came up with many new activities to interest residents and make a fun activity and social time for residents. Also, Misty and Heady have been real helpful and attentive to Cindy. I can't remember everybody's name I should give Kudos to, but if I were looking for an assisted Living home to spend my final days, Curry House would definitely be my choice of residence. Becky, the new Manager, that has taken over, seems to be genuinely concerned regarding resident care and continuing to make Curry House a real home setting for residents. I can't say enough about how kind the caretakers have been trying to protect and keep the residents content during this COVID 19 pandemic. My mother has lived at Curry House for four months. Overall her experience has been good. The meals are tasty and the portions satisfy her hunger. Her room is cozy and warm. She particularly enjoys the morning exercise class. The only negative experience has been errors in distributing her medication. However, when my brother (medical power of attorney) intervened the problem was remedied to his satisfaction. My mother is not happy about being "forced" (by diminishments in her health and the security concerns of her sons) into making the move to Curry House. Consequently, her criticisms are broader and more vociferous. Placing my mother in an assisted living facility was not my first choice. However, if I had to make the decision again, I would definitely choose Curry House.
