We have had an unfortunate run of my father in 2 other facilities before coming to Sunrise. I wish we would have started here. The stay has been great so far, and my dad is getting all of his needs met. He has actually improved since he arrived.

My grandmother lived at this community for 5 years. She was able to enjoy activities, outings and make new friends. She was very happy. We were impressed with the care from the beginning to the end. Staff was loving and caring.

Assisted living can be difficult to nail down to a point where one is happy with the care givers helping their loved elders through this difficult time in their lives every single day of their care.Many people that our family knows have had loved ones in Sunrise and- American House care(among others).with the usual mixed results.I personally oversaw the care of my Father in two different assisted living facilities over the course of almost 4 years until his recent death.A person very close to our family had his Mother in law in 4 different facilities over 6 years until her death.A person like a sister to me..and. her husband (both from very small families) bore the brunt of the health (many,many)problems of 4 parents over 2 decades...This is not easy care to give or watch...or..pay for no matter how you do it

Cara Martin daughter. I placed my father there last April after a dementia/paranoid disorder diagnosis! I could be happier with his care. As for the caregivers they work so hard some of the folks dont want to to get dressed , showered or bed when there asked so they have to wait until they get through there list of patients. We all want whats best for our loved ones. He is content and well cared for these people in this industry of caregiving deserve our praise . We think it's tough when we visit. Imagine how they feel watching folks decline in front if there eyes. I know I couldn't do it. Everyone has been very easy to communicate with but above all my Dad is comfortable and safe and cared for.... I spent many nights worrying when he was alone. They give them purpose and want them to have some quality of life The staff has my highest admiration for what the do! I know I could not do that job it pulls my heart strings to much just getting to know the residents then they pass.

The people at Sunrise were amazing to work with when my 95 year old mother's stroke made it impossible for her to continue to drive and live independently in the home she had lived in for over fifty years. The care my mother received was outstanding. The staff was caring and made an effort to get to know my Mom. They provided me a wealth of information to help my Mom. Their cooperation was particularly valuable since I was coordinating her care from thousands of miles away before I could get back to Michigan and help her move in to Sunrise. Everyone from the sales staff to the care givers were first rate. I cannot recommend this facility with any higher rating. If I was not moving my mother to Washington to be closer to me, she would have been a permanent resident at Sunrise. Lovely place!

This is a great community for care. We like the staff and the clean environment for the residents. They offer a good menu of meals that are offered and a healthy variety. They have a few activities, but they could use more to help the residents stay more active with is good for my mom. The community has a nice environment for the residents to be able to sit outside and enjoy.I would recommend this community for good care
