Really appreciate the time Jordyn took to show us around. She didn’t rush us and answered every question we had even if they seemed silly. She really took her time to get to know my mom and introducing her to others around the building. Though mom decided to stay with us for now, we know who our first choice will be if mom ever decides living with us is no longer what she wants.

The community is so beautiful inside and when I toured, the residents were having so much fun playing a game with balloons! It was nice to see the staff being so interactive with the residents. Jordyn was very pleasant and so was Laurel, the executive director. Wonderful place.

I got to meet Doris one of the residents there and she was so kind to share her handmade knitted hats! She gave me 2 hats one for my niece and one for my nephew! She recently moved into Bickford and shared that she enjoys it. It brought her peace of mind knowing her family is close and she has people to help whenever she needed it!

New leadership team is excellent. Staff provides the best care for the residents. Option for on site provider and physical therapy is very convenient. Activities provided for residents are truly thoughtful and well executed. The facility is clean and well maintained. Total gem in our community.

I was recently in this assisted living and was very impressed. The building is lovely and very clean, the residents were busy with numerous activities, and the staff was warm and welcoming. Leo and William answered all my questions with kindness and compassion. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place where your loved one will receive the best care.

Choosing a senior living community for an our loved one is one of the hardest decisions we as a family has made, but Bickford of Battle Creek has made the entire process a blessing. From the moment you walk in, you feel a sense of warmth and 'home' that you just don't find everywhere else. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and always smells wonderful (which really speaks to their attention to detail), but the real heart of Bickford is the staff. I cannot say enough about William, the Director of Nursing. He is truly phenomenal. His clinical expertise is matched only by his deep compassion for the residents. He doesn't just manage the medical side of things; he truly takes the time to get to know each person and ensures their care is personalized and dignified. Knowing William is at the helm of the nursing department gives our family such incredible peace of mind.

Bickford is a wonderful facility with caring staff. They offer many activities, have a great and wide variety of food options, and are very attentive to their residents. It feels like being at home.

I have been to this place once, to help my wife out, first glance it was clean smelt nice and the faces were warm and smiley, Leo you do an impeccable Job.

Mom was there once before she had a dnr they ignored it and sent her out.She was not happy. The 2nd time in there was a big billing problem. The room was suppose to be 63 dollars a day for a year. Mom in for 9 months and ran out of money. We took her out last 2 weeks ago because she was out of money. It was our responsibility to contact billing to let them know she was leaving. Because the director didn't do it even though she was notified 3xs. The director said she would get her money back . Should know something at the end of last week. This week have contacted and left a message every day crickets. They owe Mom approximately 19,000 . I guess will see them in court. Today I did call the corporate office. Hopefully they do the right thing. If not see them in court.

Just.Don’t. High turnover. Lack of ongoing communication. Difficulty in paying. Understaffed to meet the individual needs. Concerns with hygiene/smell, etc. I’m a patient person & I’m not saying there aren’t some who work very hard at their jobs, but after 10 weeks at this facility, we are over it! Frustrations abound!

We found the staff very welcoming and helpful. They helped us cope with the many twist and turns in our situation and worked with us to find the proper solution. Great staff equals great care. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the fantastic meals prepared by the Chef and his staff. I highly recommend this facility.

The staff at the community are all very helpful. Management is very knowledgable on ways to help care for the senior population as well as creating a homey environment. I can't say enough good things about Bickford of Battle Creek.

My mom has stayed here twice over the past 4 years. Her care was up and down depending on who was working there. Some of my contacts and her caregivers were great to work with and others were very poor. My biggest complaint is her billing. During her last stay her daily rate was changed and there were unexplained and vague charges on her invoice. When she asked about these charges the office manager said she didnt know and that billing is done at corporate. So she asked for an email to someone who could explain. She was given two emails that did not work. We tried for weeks to have these charges explained to no avail. We eventually settled the bill at the original agreed upon daily rate and refused to pay for the unexplained additional charges. They have no turned my mom into collections for these charges and still have never explained what the charges were for. This seems to be fraudulent invoicing in hopes that nobody will question it.

They staff actually care about the residents and they treat everyone with dignity and respect. We had to move my father here from a play that was a lot more expensive and we expected the quality of service to be lower as well. The service was leaps and bounds better and they stayed in constant contact with my brother and I, if anything needed attention. I cannot recommend this place enough for your loved one!
