I had the pleasure of having a tour with Angela! I can't say enough good things about this facility. It's clean, bright and cozy. The residents we walked by seemed happy and at home. The interactions between staff and residence made me certain my dad would be a good fit here and get the care he deserves. They provide a lot of activities and support for the residence. They seem to be fully staffed which is hard to find these days. They have cookouts with family and outings for the residence which is so important for our elders to avoid isolation. Can't say enough good things about the Inn! Highly recommend

Our Mom has been at the Inn for just one week, but it's like she has lived there forever! She has settled in nicely, thanks to the wonderful and caring staff. We started the process by getting a tour with Angela, who was so thorough with her explanations. Mom immediately felt at ease with Angela, she was so compassionate and kind. Angela also worked tirelessly on the admissions process, and is so very prompt with her responses and answers to our questions. It was a difficult time for our family before Mom moved to the Inn. It is so nice to know she is well cared for and safe, not to mention the great food and fun activities that they offer. Thank you, IVAS!!!

My Mom was a resident of the Inn for 3 years and was so well taken care of. Every one of the staff here is compassionate and caring! They do so much with the residents to assure that they are happy and healthy. They include the family in every celebration throughout the year whether it was Christmas dinner, Thanksgiving Celebration, Mother's Day Tea, Summer Cookout or resident outings of ice cream, out to dinner or Sea Dogs game! The food was fabulous and I always enjoyed each celebration but especially being able to spend them with my Mom! I will be forever grateful that the last years of my Moms life was spent at the Inn at Village Square!

During the 3+ years that my father lived at the Inn he and I were both very happy with the environment, the supportive staff and resident activities. The director at the Inn has put together a very supportive and caring team that obviously care about their residents. My Dad was very happy living there and we were both disappointed when his physical condition didn't allow him to staff in assisted living any longer. What a positive place to spend some of your final years!

The staff at the Inn are wonderful, during this pandemic the facility was closed to visitors and they did a great job in attending to the residents, setting up phone calls to family, FaceTime. I am so happy that my mother, Wilma, had the opportunity to live there for two years before her passing on June 11. During her last week, the staff did everything that could possibly be done for her, support and love, excellent care by making sure she was comfortable, turning her body so that she wouldn't get bed sores, a bed bath and then lotion for her dry skin, the staff would come in and visit with her a few minutes and yes I was allowed to go in during that week, which I was very grateful and they tended to me as well. If you want your parent there, it is the best! Thank you...

I have volunteered at the Inn in the past and received nothing but kindness and support from staff. The atmosphere is very inviting and welcoming to incoming guests or volunteers. What I like most about the Inn was the small community feeling where all guests and employees knew each other and they all come together for meals and activities. All of the staff at the Inn had personal connections to their guests to make them feel like they are family and give them all a homey feel. I would say there is never a dull moment at the Inn with always something going on whether it's a skipbo game or a barbecue!

A closer look Come by and take a closer look at the Inn. You're sure to find that our residents are well cared for by our caring staff in a comfortable, clean setting. Daily resident-based activities abound: Bus rides to local attractions such as Oxford Casino or perhaps to scenic Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth. Residents are free to participate in Bingo, cooking classes or visits from local 4-H kids with their livestock. Residents also grow and harvest vegetables from raised beds out in the gazebo where the food is then prepared by our dietary staff. So come by and take a closer look. I have been the administrator of the Inn at Village Square for the past 13 years and was quite taken aback by the review by Trevor Axelsen. My guess is that he has never been to the Inn. A little research reveled that Mr. Axelsen has unsubstantiated negative comments of numerous business enterprises throughout the local area. The Inn at Village Square is an Assisted Living facility that has a reputation for providing excellent care by a well trained professional and compasionate staff. Our state surveys have been deficiency free, our staff turnover is extremely low, and resident satisfaction surveys have been outstanding.
