Yesterday the house manager told me that I can visit my mom anytime and she can stay overnight with me . Hours are 8am to 8pm. There is a sign in book and I just need to record when I take her. That changed when the same house manager called me to say I am not welcome at all because my mom is having trouble adjusting to her new environment. She said this was the doctors advise. So to be blunt, a doctor has imprisoned my mother at this facility and the staff are the guards to enforce an order designed to confuse, intimidate and ultimately control. 95 yr old who is physically fit and likes her independence

3 things. 1. Impossible to obtain the phone number to a facility. The operator who answers directs you to a link that doesn't work. I called Maine DHHS to obtain the number, who got it from my sister. 2. [name removed], the staff responsible for the facility refused to show me the rules and regulations when I dropped my 95 yr old mother yesterday. The other staff person played good cop to [name removed] telling me I cannot have my mother stay with me overnight, by injecting that they just don't know. 3. [name removed] claimed wrongly that my mother is incompetent. Only a judge can make that determination, not a doctor. [name removed] has only been at the facility one month and said she didn't have the experience to answer my questions and said the house manager was not available till next week.
