A beautiful retirement village. The property well maintained and perfectly manicured. Awesome staff and great place to visit for a Cruise-in. They fed all of us car people "for free" and, there were lovely ladies passing out cookies all day. On top of that there was also a live band playing great music as well. Just can't say enough.

My reasons for moving to Carroll Lutheran Village eight years ago were, I wanted to down-size, reduce my work-load, and reside in a secure environment. Not only have I received what I "WANTED", but an additional blessing is I also received what I "NEEDED"..... A WELL-BALANCED LIFE!! MIND-------BODY-------SPIRIT *Programs/courses that stimulate MY MIND. *Dining venues/menus that encourage and provide healthy eating and exercise facilities that nurture and strengthen MY BODY. * A faith based community that lifts MY SPIRIT through friendships and worship.

I moved my mom from NY into independent living at Weller Circle a month ago. Prior to her move I was given the opportunity to select new flooring, paint, hardware, and appliances for her apartment. Mindy kept in regular contact with me and the move in went very smoothly. I’m at my mom’s apartment 3-4 times a week helping her get settled. Transitioning into apartment life and all new routines is hard, but she was assigned a host and is in contact with Jamie from social services. Yes, we have had some hiccups (mainly with the dining facility, CLV needs to have a better tutorial for their new residents), no place is perfect, but overall the quality, services, and amenities for my mom can’t be matched anywhere in Carroll County.

Since moving to the :Village", I found my forever home and an active life with my extended family, The quality and variety of living areas offers something exceptional for all residents. From the medical services to the pool and gym, hair salon services religious study groups, dining venues, campus shuttle services and many many more. Living at Carroll Lutheran Village, I certainly found my new home!

Why Carroll Lutheran Village (CLV)? Having visited numerous Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the Maryland and Pennsylvania areas my wife and I always came back to CLV. It is a quaint community on 100 plus acres of rolling Carroll County hills midway between Westminster and New Windsor just off of Rt. 31 coming out of Westminster. The country atmosphere and college campus ambiance were instantly addictive. Further review of the facilities revealed that CLV is a Health and Rehabilitation Center providing assisted living, long term care, short term rehabilitation, occupational physical and speech therapy for approximately 700 Residents, half of whom live independently in houses or apartments; the other half are in assisted living or the Health Center. CLV offers excellent senior care, is located in close proximity to Carroll County Hospital as well as many other specialized medical facilities in the local area. There is a plethora of amenities on campus to meet the desires of all the Residents. Having lived here for more than four years I found that the two biggest assets are the excellent Continuing Care and the exceptional demeanor of the Residents who genuinely care for and always look out for each other. The Residents are safe here due to the excellent security; are connected to the real world by being able to go and come as they please; are able to shop locally; have unlimited visitations; attend religious services of their choice on or off campus. They are able to partake in the many daily activities that stimulate interest, camaraderie and mental dexterity as much as one desires or NOT. Being a Resident of this well run facility enables one to have peace of mind knowing that you are not a burden to anyone and removes the pressure from families who are concerned about the welfare of their elders in their golden years. My mother was in assisted living at Diven House for three years before passing away in 2021. She needed to be there due to both cognitive and physical issues. The experience from beginning to end was positive for her, and for me and my siblings. The staff not only kept her safe and provided good care physically, they interacted with Mother in a very caring and kind manner. They were also good with me, keeping me updated on her health, and involving me in decision making. I would recommend Diven House to anyone in need of assisted living.

My husband and I moved to Carroll Lutheran Village five years ago. We knew right away that we were in the best place we could be. We have enjoyed the many social activities available, as well as musical entertainment and wellness activities that encourage us to keep physically fit. The most wonderful of all are the people we have met, especially our neighbors who welcomed us into our new community. The staff are very caring and have been so creative in planning activities for us during this past year. They make us feel that we are part of one big family.

My father was a patient at Carroll Lutheran Village’s rehab facility. He had only positive things to say about his entire experience there; everything from the staff, to his room, to the food. As his stay occurred during the time of covid restrictions, it was very comforting to know that he was so pleased. I also found the staff, including the administration, to be pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this facility.

'Marley and Me' I am a volunteer for 'Pets on Wheels' and Marley is a certified therapy dog. We visited CLV yesterday and the staff at every station we stop to ask directions were so kind, professional and helpful. Marley was a sure hit with the residents in the Nursing Care Unit. Our two hour visit just flew by.

Am very disappointed with this place. My mother-in-law went in for rehabilitation was up walking til this virus hit an couldn't come an check on her. Then out of the blue they are sending her home bed ridden. She ended up getting the virus . i thought this place was the best in Carroll county . very unhappy

My Dad is currently there rehabbing a broken hip. As far as I’ve seen, the care is great! Cody(PT), Bonnie(OT), and I believe it’s Johann(ST) have all been great with my Dad! As well as the nursing staff and everyone else! Would definitely recommend CLV!

I'm so glad that we were able to have my Mom accepted in their rehab/assisted living program. It's such a beautiful, clean, friendly atmosphere. Everyone works together to make the residents feel at home. Plenty of activities. Family is welcomed at anytime, day or night. They have a few restaurants on the premises where the residents & family members can eat together. Or the residents can eat in their rooms if they choose to. The food is very good & plenty of it. The nursing staff & caretakers are excellent. CLV is the very best facilities in Carroll County.
