At the time I moved in, Park View apartments was advertised as $400 down payment, with a gym, and garbage disposals (of course! this is 2022, doesn't every apartment complex have garbage disposals? Yet I was charged $1000 down payment, which indeed has been a hardship since the rent was $403 more than my former rent in HUD building. Last week, I was given notice that I have a credit balance of $538.16. Whew! thank God, they caught up with my down payment overcharge at last. (Not to mention I pay more than others for my rent (and rent has gone up $40 a year) for very tiny apartment without a real bathtub you can draw a bath in. (this used to be assisted care facility 5 managers ago so the center is out of the tubs. From what residents say, for Park View company holders, this is the"ghetto" of Park View Apartments (the other Park Views, it is rumoured, get all the funds for improvements and entertainment). (I have been food compromised since my move-in, and indeed had to take out credit cards just to pay for rent and food AFTER THEY HIT ME FOR $1000 MOVE-IN. So now my credit is worse, when it was climbing steadily over past year and a half. THE AD SAID $400 MOVE-IN, (I PAID $1000 WITH NO EXPLANATION AS TO OVERCHARGE); GARBAGE DISPOSALS, (WHAT DISPOSALS?); GYM INCLUDED (WHAT GYM?) False advertising in senior housing!!! (AND WHO WOULD THINK WE GET BATH TUBS MADE JUST FOR CRIPPLES AT $1000 RENT A MONTH? One cannot draw a bath. It's just a shower taking up lots of room). STRANGELY, THERE IS NO RECYCLING EITHER AND THIS IS 2022. I object to false advertising, and the screwed- up "bathtubs" . Here's the funnest part: I tried to get a check for the credit balance of $538.16 and was told by new managr she would see to it I did not get this back. She's a bit goody-two-shoes, never asking for budgets for anything, AND GETTING IN THE WAY OF MY MUCH-NEEDED REFUND. LAST BIT OT LEAST, MANY APARTMENTS HERE ARE HUD-BASED AT 1/3 OF INCOME, BUT NOBODY IN OFFICE HAS A CLUE (OR A POINT A) ON HOW TO APPLY FOR THIS. SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT'S GOING ON, AND WHAT'S NOT GOING ON, AT PARK VIEW APARTMENTS. I NEED MY MONEY BACK BY LAW.
