My mom is in her 80's and her mobility is limited. At night when I leave her unit after visiting, I always think, "she is safe and sound" as I walk down the modern and clean and comfortable hallway. Wilshire staff is terrific. From the first visit here, everyone has been friendly and welcoming. All the varied services are great and make MY JOB easier to care for my mom. Mom gets to have agency and "independent living," and I get to know that she is comfortable in her own place as I go home to my own house. Being elderly in our modern world can be a challenge for our parents who can no longer keep up. At Wilshire Estates, things move slow-ER than the rat race outside, but with all the modern amenities it NEVER feels stuffy and old like retirement homes of yore. I'm really pleased with this facility and mom is happy here. Highly recommended. Just come on by and have a visit to see for yourself.

Wilshire Estates is much more than I could ever have expected! Not only is the community beautiful, but the staff is incredibly caring and sensitive to all of the residents needs/wishes AND they're fun to hang around! You can be as busy or as idle as you wish here. My Mom is incredibly happy with her new home!

After a thorough tour of Wilshire Estates and learning about all the apartment complex has to offer, we chose to move my mom from out of state and settled her in two weeks ago. My mom feels comfortable in her new apartment. She enjoys the food and the friendly staff. Family is encouraged to enjoy a meal with their loved one (at a nominal fee). We have observed that the staff cares about its residents, always willing to assist or chat. Toni, Lonnie, Jason and Krista have been attentive to our needs and questions. Wayne has taken care of maintenance requests promptly. The dining room staff always greet us with a smile. Shauntae in particular, always goes out of her way to make the residents and their family feel welcomed and cared for. Chelsea, the activities director, brings enthusiasm and encouragement to the activities she plans. We like all the amenities offered at Wilshire especially the month-to-month lease, weekly apartment cleaning and linen service as well as Family & Nursing Care and Legacy Therapy Services available at the complex. We truly feel we found the best place for mom!

Lisa and I began our new life at Wilshire Estates on August 2nd. We love it! The place is much more than we could have ever imagined. The residents are friendly and welcoming, and the staff really cares. And I can't say enough good things about the wonderful food!! So glad we chose Wilshire Estates Gracious Retirement Living. The name says it all!!

Wilshire Estates has been a Godsend for our family. The staff, in particular Rich and Deborah, have been proactive, compassionate and efficient. My Mother moved in during the early stages of the pandemic and the Wilshire staff have made the transition smooth, with the safety of the residents at the top of their minds throughout. We highly recommend this establishment as a home community for your beloved family member.

Wilshire Estates at Silver Springs, MD has embodied the gracious retirement living mantra. The new facility caters to meet the independent living years of its residents. Spacious suites, a secure facility, chef meals, fun activities and opportunities to meet new friends are just some of the benefits of joining this community. The managers are engaged in their residents well being and have done a remarkable job navigating the opening and growth of the facility during the covid 19 pandemic. Its a great place to call home!

It would be hard to overstate how happy we are with Wilshire Estates. When we first toured, Wilshire Estates was finishing its construction and we could tell what a beautiful place it would be. It is light-filled and modern, with gracious hallways, plenty of seating at intervals throughout the building, a gorgeous activities room that includes a kitchen where families could set up an event, and the MOVIE THEATER!! The management model is unique; with two sets of live-in management pairs who are present at every meal, the well-being of residents is always observed. The staff make great efforts to ensure that community is being built at all times. Sadly, as soon as our loved one moved in, the COVID-19 Pandemic hit and then all of the good care and attention to detail truly paid off. During an exceptionally hard time, residents knew that the managers were doing everything in their power to keep the residents and staff safe. Lets hope the worst is behind us and more residents will be able to join Wilshire Estates.

The grounds at Wilshire are beautiful allows for good walkability for seniors when its nice outside. The property is fairly new, the rooms are nice and complies with ADA accessibility. The facility provides a vast variety of senior friendly activities that residents enjoy. I love that the facility encompasses a beauty salon, therapy services, and transportation for residents, a truly all in one experience for seniors.

Its very apparent how much they care about their residents and their community is absolutely beautiful. Wilshire Estates was a great place for my dad to live in before finally agreeing to move to Florida and be near my sister and me. He really needed the support and care that he was given as he was determined to be independent. This made it possible for us to manage caregiving from a distance which can be very challenging. We never had to worry about his safety and that was a blessing for us.

Wilshire Estates was the right place at the right time when my dad finally chose to move out of his home. He loved the independent living without the need to cook and clean daily. He loved getting to meet new friends, while still being close to the neighborhood he had lived in for the past 40 plus years. The year has passed way to quickly. As his daughter, I appreciate the care of the staff, and their attention to what is happening with COVID-19. I still wait for the day where we can go back and share a meal in the dining room. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and the people who make it run.

Wilshire Estates is a new community in Silver Spring that has been challenged by COVID to open safely, so far it is succeeding and thriving. It is a small community, but there is much room to grow. The staff is quite friendly and goes out of its way to make the residence a home. A wonderful addition to upper Montgomery County.

Wilshire Estates took great care of my Dad. Because my sister and I live in Florida, having him in a safe place meant so much to us. He finally made the decision to move to be near his family, but until then, Wilshire Estates was the best place for him to live. Thanks Deborah and Rich!

My wife and I toured Wilshire Estates over Christmas. The people there are very nice. It is a very beautiful, new and clean retirement home for active seniors. The library and the recreation rooms were my favorite. We looked at a one bedroom apartment. It was nice with new everything, since the whole facility is only a year old. We didnt try the food but I think meals are included plus I think all the apartments have full kitchens. I would say if you are looking for a retirement home in the Silver Spring area, you should definitely tour this place.

I visited with my sister-in-law who is looking for a senior living place. This has everything you need. The units are rented and they come with weekly house cleaning that includes washing the sheets and towel. There are three meals a day available in the dinning room included in the rent. Each unit has a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator a counter with a sink. There are free laundry rooms in each wing.

My mom moved to the Silver Spring, Maryland facility shortly after it opened. Debra and Rich were warm and compassionate towards her. They made her feel welcome and made sure she felt she was a valued member of the community. Susan was also a very good and effective salesperson who was the first person the family interacted with when investigation Wiltshire Estates as a residential option for my mom. The building is beautiful. The employees are kind and helpful. We always felt that my mom was in good hands while she was there.

It is a great new retirement community that is under quarantine for now, but will burst with available space once the quarantine is lifted. As a new community it holds the promise of new traditions for those who seek to join the community.
